Witches inhabit our world, organized in covens and hiding behind a shroud of secrecy—the Veil.

Skye’s London coven sends her to Seattle’s Greenwood High to find the Singularity, an unusually gifted witch who may break the Veil and trigger a dangerous new era of witch-hunting. Things get complicated when Skye meets a charming new classmate, Drake. Skye’s job becomes even trickier when she clashes with Jane, an intimidating rival witch.

Drake falls for the mysterious Skye, but odd accidents, potion mix-ups, and the occasional brush with death kind of get in the way of romance. Once he discovers Skye is a witch, he goes to war for her, even though his only weapons are a nice set of abs and a sharp sense of humor.

Fighting off wicked Jane and the other dark forces hell-bent on seizing the Singularity's immense power, Skye and Drake will risk everything to save the covens.

Going on a date has never been harder

The Way I See It

Wicked Sense was a fun read. I enjoyed the authors writing it was smooth and I was able to connect with the characters for the most part. There wasn’t any insta love here but the read was enjoyable. There were parts of the story that were a little jumpy like Skye being very hesitant about Drake one minute and making out with him the next. Lol who am I kidding, thats pretty much YA in a nutshell. Lol it was probably just me wanting these two to stop messing around and get together finally! I will say this once they admitted their feelings and decided on a relationship they shared some really sweet and touching moments. There is a big aspect of mystery and YAY!! WE FIND OUT THE ANSWERS!!! Gosh I just love that so hard. It seems like the last few(hundreds of) books I’ve read that are part of a series leave me in the dark! Not Wicked Sense we know exactly(sort of) whats going on. Well with the major thing that is. I have my suspicions about a couple of the characters but I found myself guessing incorrectly…Who knows but well played Bueno, well played.

W-ise, the motherhood has sent one of their brightest of witches to search for the Singularity, Skye has a mission and will do what it takes to find her.
I-ndecisive, Drake is drawn to the new girl he may stumble on his words but his charm eventually wins Skye over.
C-urious, Priscilla “the predator” befriends Skye though she seems nice enough Skye cannot trust her motives.
K-indred, another sister is among the students of Skye’s high school but something is very wrong with her.
E-scape, twice now Drake and Skye save each other they certainly share strange circumstances.
D-eath, a scare brings everything back into perspective for Skye now more determined than ever she will do what it takes to complete her mission.

S-ecrets, Skye hasn’t been very honest with Drake its time to break the veil.
E-vil, two deadly attacks isn’t enough the very wicked Jane will do what it takes to get rid of Skye.
N-earness, nothing can come between Drake and Skye when they promise to spend time together.
S-urprise, one of the usual suspects turns out not to be who everyone thought. Certain truths that could've affected so many things differently are finally out.
E-vade, the jury is liberating things are at a standstill the motherhood is watching and they don’t plan on stopping. Ever.

Good story good writing and it def kept me guessing. Another delightful surprise was that Bueno did a great job of capturing the general aura of high school. All of the characters personalities were quite believable, I remember having a few friends that reminded me of a character or two (Sean, Boulder, Priscilla) I’m looking forward to continuing this series. I hope Skye becomes even more amazing. I hope Conner gets what he deserves cause as Pri so eloquently put it, he definitely falls under the douche bag category. I recommend this for anyone who is looking for a fun YA Witchy Read!

My Fav’s

Drake
Well he’s a swimmer! Yum! Lol but he is honest kind and selective. I really enjoyed his personality. Although I see so much potential I hope he joins the swim team and embraces his awesomeness. I’ll still heart him if he doesn’t but I know he’s capable of so much more.

Skye
This girl has her head on straight. She is not wild or geeky but what she does have is determination. I am looking forward to seeing her powers grow. Her capacity for love is astonishing I loved seeing her interact with other people.

My Rating

4.0 London, New York, Lake, Fallen Tree, Pool Incident, Blinding Potion, Silver Tattoo, Warning, First Kiss, Heart Attack, Earthquake, Fire, Coma, Secrets, Young Love Filled Stars! For fans of Paranormal YA this one’s for you!
