Review:

I wanted to make sure that I finished my 8 weeks on this journey before I posted my review for this book. This is not a diet. This book is life changing and it helped me understand many things. I'm a foodie. I love to discover new foods and try new recipes. The author did a fantastic job at explaining the Wilder Way and it's very easy to follow. I also loved that she shared her story with us. She inspires me to do better and I am forever grateful to her that she wrote this book.

Jasinda Wilder gives us all the right tools to start this life changing journey. You need to plan each week with precision. Everything is well explained and before I started this journey I made sure that I had a fridge full of options. What I liked about this plan is that you start cutting food slowly. Small steps bring big rewards. No going cold turkey on anything. You don't crave the foods you are so addicted to once you start eating the Wilder Way. The book includes many delicious recipes that have become favorites in our home. Easy and delicious!

The other important thing to do while on this journey is to exercise. Start slowly and the rest will follow. I have daily walks and I feel better once my exercise is done. I walk with my family and that gives us time to make memories together. Life is so busy that sometimes the little things are the ones that bring you the biggest joy. The Wilder Way is an 8 week health plan and it is made this way to give you the time to adjust to the changes you will be making. I have lost a total of 10 pounds since I started and I'm happy with my results. Baby steps. I'm less tired, I sleep better and I have more energy. This is the way I want to live my life. I have 20 pounds to go and I am confident that The Wilder Way will bring me closer to my goal.

Mikki's Review:

Book Town has a new book boyfriend and his name is Duke Crawford! Prepare yourself for a major swoon fest because this teddy bear of a man is absolutely AMAZING! Tessa Bailey writes the best alpha males and incredibly lovable heroines. The Made in Jersey series is one series you do not want to miss! Worked Up is the third book in the series. In this book, we follow Duke Crawford and Samantha Waverly. Sexy factory mechanic that loves SportsCenter meets children book illustrator that tells bad jokes ... lol!!

Sweet Baby Jesus!!

This was such a page-turning reading journey! Sam and Duke have totally melted my heart! They are such an adorable couple! They complete each other perfectly and even if they both started out as anti-relationship kind of people, they soon found out that it takes the right person to come along to make you want to break all your rules. Duke was such a great hero. It was beautiful to see how he took care of his family. He’s a problem solver for the people in his life and you can see that he loves his sisters with all his heart. Even if they mess with his SportsCenter time, they each own a piece of his heart. He’s a teddy bear with a heart of gold and he has a dirty mouth that will leave you in a state of mush! I’m getting chills just thinking about the things he said and did to Sam. *Fans Face* Talking about Samantha. She was amazing as well. Her bad jokes made me laugh out loud and the way she saw Duke as a different hero every time he would do something, it made my heart melt.

This was a super quick read that I devoured in one sitting. No surprises there since it comes from Tessa Bailey. She’s an auto-buy author for me. I would even buy her grocery list to read if it was for sale ... lol!! That’s how much I love her writing style and the incredible characters that she creates. Her characters all have a special place in my heart. Her stories will give you all the feels and they will always end with a HEA. She writes characters that are easy to relate to. That is very important to me because even if I read fiction to escape my daily life, I want it to feel real. And, Tessa Bailey delivers every single time! Even if Sam and Duke fell for each other pretty quickly, it gave me all the feels that a slow building romance usually gives me. I could feel that the bond they created in that short amount of time was going to bring them happiness.

It was awesome to catch up with River and Vaughn. I loved Thrown Down and it always puts a smile on my face when I get a check-in about characters that have brought me so much joy. We get introduced to Duke’s four sisters who are hilarious! I hope we get their stories as well. Renner is also an intriguing character. He’s Sam stepbrother and Duke’s boss. The next book will be about him and I’m nervous and excited for his book. Can’t wait to read it! I highly recommend The Made in Jersey Series if you are looking for a sexy and unputdownable reading escape.

I give, Worked Up, by Tessa Bailey, 5 fun, romantic, steamy, passionate, every girls wants a Duke Crawford in her life stars!

About the Author:

Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans and laptop, driving cross-country to New York City in under four days.

Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.

She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband of eight years and four-year-old daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.

My Review of Paper Princess HERE

Review:

Oh.my.God.

What a freakin' fantastic sequel to Paper Princess! If you have read PP, you know that it ends with a major cliffhanger. A cliffhanger that left me in a state of shock after the amazing reading escape I had while reading PP. It left me breathless and wanting the next installment ASAP! When I decided to read PP, I had no clue what to expect. Erin Watt was a new to me author. I have read books by Elle Kennedy and Jen Frederick, but this was totally different. A new world and new characters to fall in love with. Gah!!! I totally fell in love with Ella and all the Royals. If you have not read PP yet, what are you waiting for? These Royals will ruin you! Book hangover guaranteed!

I don't want to give too much away about what happens in BP and I don't want to spoil PP for the people who have not read it. What I will say is that Ella and Reed are both living in a state of numbness. They are both broken because of something that happened at the end of PP. Reed will not stop until Ella is back home safe and sound. The Royals want Ella back. They will do whatever it takes to bring her back home. Even if it means asking their dad for help. In their time apart from each other, Ella and Reed realize that the connection they had is stronger than anything that they have ever felt. When Ella comes back home, she will have a difficult time being around Reed. She's not ready to be close to him again. He need to keep his distance, but that is impossible for Reed to do. Once again, many obstacles come between Ella and Reed. Will their love be strong enough to survive it all?

BP was packed with many twists and jaw dropping revelations! I loved every single minute of my reading escape and I have every intention of reading PP and BP again very soon.  I loved that the authors took time to fix what happened between Ella and Reed. I was at the edge of my seat waiting to find out what would happen next! I'm a fan of Ella and Reed and I was cheering for them to find a way back to each other. Their chemistry gave me chills and their love filled my heart with so much happiness! Ella and Reed did not only grow as a couple in this book, but they grew as individually as well. I loved how Reed changed his ways and how Ella listened to her heart.

This book delivers all the feels and will leave you wanting more! The writing style is phenomenal, the characters addictive and this series is one I will never forget! The secondary characters all played an important role in this book and I especially loved Easton. OMG!! I can't wait to read more about him. He's all kinds of awesome! The party is far from over at the Royal house. This book ended with another major cliffhanger. October can't come soon enough! I need this book like YESTERDAY!!! I highly recommend this series. Every bookworm needs to have this series on their TBR list.

Wicked Trilogy:
My Review of Wicked Here

*Add this Series to Goodreads Here

My Thoughts:

Torn was the ultimate reading escape!  As I jumped in to the sequel of Wicked, I was carried away by the yumminess of Ren.  Jennifer Armentrout creates the most drool-worthy and dreamy male leads.  He captivated me with his sex-appeal, and the way he treated Ivy!  Tink continued to entertain with his ability to frustrate Ren, as well as his obsession with Amazon, The Walking Dead and getting a new kitten.  Tink is just all kinds of fabulousness with his ability to make me laugh, and let me tell you, he surprises readers in this installment, in a moment that you will never see coming!

Ivy grows tremendously as a character, in the sequel.  She becomes so much stronger, resilient, and courageous.  She is willing to sacrifice for the one she loves, and I admired her grit, stamina, and the constant fight in her!  She is truly a warrior!

The suspense escalates in this sequel of the Wicked Trilogy.  Secrets of the Order's history are revealed that were pretty shocking.  Also, we get some ominous new members to the New Orleans division in The Order, one of which Ren despises with good reason!  The prince is determined to woo Ivy, and remove Ren from the picture.  However, we see just how cold, manipulative, powerful, and unscrupulous he is in this sequel.  There was a ton of action, allies in the most unlikely of places, and plot twists that kept me glued to my kindle.

My Rating:

I give, Torn, by Jennifer L. Armentrout 5 Swoon-Worthy, Secrets Revealed, Danger, Trauma, and Suspense Filled Stars!!!
