Summary
This book has spoilers in it if you haven't read the By A Thread series yet, you may not want to read the synopsis. This is a companion book to that series and I highly suggest reading it first.

Have you ever been involved in an epic love story where you wound up alone? Have you devoted yourself so completely to someone that you lost yourself in their abyss?

Patrick Greer spent the past five years revolving around El. He fought like hell to not feel the emotions for her that were hidden deep in his gut, until he couldn't anymore. He was so sure of them, of her, of what they were to each other, until he wasn't.

Patrick couldn't even imagine the things he'd done for her, with her and to her. El broke him.

He was a liar, a friend, a lover, a fixer, a runner and a killer.

Now he had to figure out who he was without her.

*There are adult situations, tons of cussing and you may enjoy this book with an adult beverage.

The Way I See It

Oh M Gee!!! That was amazing. I love Patrick more than anyone else aside from Stella. He has always had my heart even when Stella was angry with him I defended his motives. As an avid reader I invest a part of myself with certain characters. Patrick is that character for me. I wanted things to work out for him I needed him to find his way. This companion novel was perfect!!! It was so nice to be in his head and see the things that transpired but instead of hearing it from Stella or George we got to hear it from Patrick’s point of view.

H-
elpless, Patrick has always been pulled to his person something that was meant to be friendship and protection turned into so much more.
E-
mpathy, a lost soul crushed by the death of her fiancé Patrick vows to take care of her and pull her away from the darkness.
A-
lone, Patrick is a guarded man of secrets. His life has changed so much since the accident that robbed his family of the happiness they once shared.
R-
emorse, betrayal is never easy Patrick has tried to justify his actions time and time again. When he sees pain in his persons eyes, it’s a knife that never stops cutting.
T-
repidation, allowing Stella the space and time she needs is fine for now. Patrick knows what must be done and will do it because there is no measure to his love.

I-
ntuition, accounting for Jamie’s hubris Patrick will set things in motion that will change him to the core.
N-
emesis, Stella no longer has to live in fear but the way everything has happened has destroyed her completely. Its up to her person to put all of the pieces back together.

W-
orth, the pain that is forced upon Patrick is too much. His heart is under restraints it will take the one pulling him back to let go once and for all.
I-
deal, the distance has lifted some of the haze that contorted Patrick he can see again and he realizes that an angel stands before him.
R-
elief, Stella has always been honest with Patrick with parting words she concedes to the fact that they were never meant to be. She may be walking away and releasing her confines but their friendship will always remain, and will always be strong.
E-
xhale, the demons will always be there to haunt him but Patrick is at peace, he can breath again. Knowing exactly what and who he needs he will never let her go.

GAAAAH!!!!!! Okay y’all seriously this book was just. SIGH! I caught all of the feels with this one. The By a Thread series has enthralled me from the very beginning and I am so beyond words ecstatic about Heart in Wire. This was an incredibly powerful and moving read it was full of passion, despair, powerful truths, dark secrets, agony, ecstasy, scary places, retribution, distorted undertakings, and the thriving resilience of the heart. I’m not messing around when I say this is an absolute must read. Having read By a Thread, Tension and Seamless I knew the events that transpired but being in Patricks head brought a completely different spectrum to this wonderful series. I felt what he felt his pain became my pain the way Ms. Griffin brings everything back around full circle was like Christmas in April. This series is one that I just know I will read time and time again. All of these characters have woven their way into my heart I’m looking forward to revisiting them and I cannot recommend this enough!

My Favs

Patrick

He has been my on my Fav’s since the beginning. Its not because he’s perfect because he has made beaucoup mistakes but through it all his soul has always fought. We see just how tortured he is and how painful life has become for him, he moved me deeply. Reading Heart in Wire cemented my feelings for him. Patrick is something special this book is truly a gift to all those that read it.

Jesse

Oh.My.Fu&%ing.Cheese&Rice! Y'all don’t know how much I love football…Well I love it more than any other girl I’ve ever met in my life. I give guys a run for their money. I’m talking avid combine watcher, 4 fantasy leagues, 2 elimination pools, free agency tracker, draft day fanatic, preseason prospect analyst…Sunday Football Funday!! I loved that he has been a part of this series throughout. He has always been kind and giving but in HiW we see just how deep his bond with Patrick truly becomes. He was there for Patricks darkest time and he helped him hold on to the light.

Marly

Anyone who has heels, baseball hats and rocks red lipstick receives my automatic approval! Lol, seriously I don’t want to get into too much regarding her but just know I heart this girl pretty hard. Everything is perfect.

My Wish
More?…I know its selfish but I’d LOVE to revisit my favorite bunch of misfits in another book.

In Closing
Have I mentioned that I love this book and its a must read?..Well, don’t forget.

My Rating
5.0 Undercover, Vomit, Grilling, Face Pounding, Brother, Missing Father, Emerald, Twitter Party, Beach House, Atlanta, Trevor, Marly, Grand Canyon, 3 Karats, Fleur De Lis, NFL Network. Soul crushing Love Surfacing Life long love filled stars! I don’t mess around with my 5 star ratings this book is flawless. Pick up this series yesterday!
