He’s the last thing she wants...but the only thing she needs.

Willa Peet isn’t interested in love. She’s been there, done that, and has the shattered heart to prove it. Ready to shake the breakup, she heads to Dublin, Ireland. But there’s a problem. A dark-haired, blue-eyed problem with a bad attitude that rivals her own. And he’s not doling out friendly Irish welcomes.

Shane Claymore just wants to race. The death of his father forced him off the Formula One circuit, but he’s only staying in Dublin long enough to sell the Claymore Inn and get things in order for his mother and younger sister. He never expected the sarcastic American girl staying at the inn to make him question everything.

But even as Willa and Shane’s fiery natures draw them together, their pasts threaten to rip them apart. Can Shane give up racing to be with the woman he loves, or will Willa’s quest to resurrect the tough-talking, no-shit-taking girl she used to be destroy any hope of a future together?

Lindy's Thoughts:

This was my first book by Tessa Bailey, and what a pleasure it was!  My co-blogger, Mikki, is the biggest Tessa Bailey fan, and has been telling me how amazing this author is.  Mikki and I have very similar reading tastes, so when she tells me something is amazing, I know that I am in for a real treat!

Our main character, Willa Peet, is a strong, gritty, and independent female lead.  She had a tough childhood, with an absentee father, and a mother who was a heroine addict and prostitute.   She saw many things as a child that she shouldn't have, grew up in poverty, and learned how to survive.  Fortunately for her, she had an older sister, Ginger, who loved and protected her to the best of her ability.  Ginger ends up taking her away to live in Chicago.  Once Ginger meets Derek, a nice guy that works in law enforcement, the three of them become a close knit family.

However, Willa never loses her sharp edges, and she knows that her past will always haunt her, and has partly shaped her to become the person that she is.  Willa's first boyfriend, Evan, was a good guy, who tried to change Willa in to a softer version of herself.  She got tired of seeing the pity, and disappointment in his eyes from when he repeatedly tried to change her, and didn't succeed.  Willa ends up breaking up with Evan, because she knows that he deserves someone very different from her, but she is heartbroken.  Willa has a passion and talent for photography, and when she wins a trip to Dublin, Ireland, in a photo contest, she knows this is the perfect opportunity to heal from her break-up.

When Willa lands in Dublin, she meets Shane Claymore, the very sexy and moody owner of the Claymore Inn.  Right away these two share a very heated and feisty connection, and strong attraction.  Willa also meets Faith, Shane's younger sister, and Kitty, Shane's mentally ill mother.  Even though Willa doesn't plan to form any relationships or attachments in Dublin, fate intervenes!

Wow, let me just say that Shane was super sexy!  I could picture his Irish accent, gorgeous blue eyes, and  brooding personality.  I loved all of the feisty banter between these two, as well as the intense sexual chemistry.  Once Shane set his sights on Willa, there was no helping that poor girl!  I loved the way these two grew as characters.  They were both a lot alike, in the fact that they had heavy burdens, shouldered guilt, and were very unhappy people.  When you peeled back the layers, it was obvious that they both were loyal to their loved ones, had huge hearts, and didn't see the good in themselves.  The more Shane and Willa actually got to know one another, the more they opened up, saw the good in each other, and healed.  I loved how the romance was slow-building and believable.   I was rooting for Willa and Shane to get a HEA together, and you will too.

I loved Willa's relationships with Faith and Kitty as well.  Faith was sweet, loving, and wore her heart on her sleeve.  What you saw is what you got, and she really knew how to have a good time.  Kitty was mentally fragile, and often showed signs of dementia.  Willa grew fond of Faith as well.

Unfixable was a character driven story.  Willa and Shane's conflicts had to do more with their individual inner struggles, and the fact that they wouldn't be in the same country in a month.  This may be my first story by Tessa Bailey, but it definitely won't be my last!  If you are in the mood for a great romance, full of passion,  read Unfixable, by Tessa Bailey!  I give Unfixable, by Tessa Bailey, 4 Delicious, Irresistible, Passionate, Shane-Filled Stars!

Mikki's Review:

I have been waiting for Unfixable since the moment I met Willa in Protecting What's His (Line of Duty, #1) If you have not read Protecting What's His you are missing out!!!! Sexy dirty talking Lieutenant Derek Tyler is one alpha male you don't want to miss! Oh, my squeee! He is all kinds of hotness!!! Talking about hotness ... Mr. Shane Claymore will have you in a state of mush in no time! Sweet Baby Jaysus!!! <------ Said in my best Irish Accent ;) This Irishman will melt your heart and your panties! Swoon bombs are coming your way .... GUARANTEED!

Pack your bags and get ready to fly to an unforgettable journey with Tessa Bailey's first NA novel, Unfixable. When I read Protecting What's His, I was hoping and praying that Willa would get her own book. She was an amazing character and even if that book was about Ginger and Derek, Willa had a big role in it. So, when I found out that she was getting her own book I was extremely happy! After a difficult break-up, Willa leaves Chicago behind and flies to Ireland to heal her broken heart. Her passion for photography as brought her face-to-face with intriguing Claymore Inn owner, Shane Claymore. From the moment that they meet sparks fly. An undeniable attraction grows between them and Shane will do whatever it takes to pick up and fix every single piece of Willa's shattered heart.

Everybody that knows me knows that the day a Tessa Bailey book releases I can't be disturbed while I am reading. I sit back, relax and escape into a whole new world! She creates a world where I want to live in and characters who I want to hang out with. These characters are my FAMILY. My connection with Ginger, Derek, Ruby, Troy, Story, Daniel, Hayden, Brent, Lucy, Matt, Willa and Shane is strong. I cry and laugh with them. Their stories are much more than a romance book to me. To me, a Tessa Bailey book feels like HOME. I have lost count of how many times I have read The Line of Duty Series and Unfixable. Chicago, New York or Ireland ... No matter the destination, I will follow! I've got my first class ticket to visit Tessa's next destination! Her writing style is PERFECTION! Her stories always leave me wanting more! more! more!

Willa and Shane are quite the couple! From the moment that they meet you can feel the sexual tension between them.  OMG!!! The chemistry between these two was hottttt!!! Willa puts up these walls and she won't let anybody in. The only people who she trusts and loves with all her heart is Ginger and Derek. My emotions were all over the place when Willa received a call from Derek. I was happy dancing with the news he delivered and I was crying tears of joy at that moment. It takes a lot to get through Willa, she's a tough cookie!! But Shane knew exactly how to get under her skin. Shane was amazing!!!! He wanted Willa and he fought for her! No matter how many times she resisted him, he could feel that the connection that they had was stronger than anything else he had ever felt. Both these characters are strong, determined and stubborn! Yup! They make a lovely pair ... lol!!! I love them to pieces!!! Once again, all the other characters in the story are just amazing. Tessa Bailey creates characters that you can't help falling in love with. Kitty and Faith were amazing supporting characters and the way that they were included in the story  was perfect!

I give, Unfixable, by Tessa Bailey 5 steamy, deliciously addictive, intense, unputtable down, wonderful, fixable stars! If you have not read any books by this FANTASTIC author I highly recommend that you put them on your TBR list. You will not be disappointed!
