Gr Summary
Jack and Lexi never had a typical relationship. After 2 years without speaking, she receives a phone call that changes everything. He unexpectedly asks her to convince the new girl, Bekah, that he's ready to commit. Jack is calling now after everything they had been through because there is another woman. She can't believe it. Follow Lexi in this heart wrenching drama as she relives her past relationship, or lack thereof, with Jack, and not just in her own mind, but to his fiance-to-be. Throw in Bekah's hot brother who always seems to be in the right place at the right time, a past with more secrets to unravel than you can even imagine, and you get a recipe for disaster. Find out what happens to Lexi as she travels to Atlanta to get the closure she so desperately desires from Jack, and how the bumps of life seem to keep getting in the way.

The Way I See It

I absolutely love Alexa, even the name is sexy! Okay, having said that when I first started reading this book I was a bit detached, third person is not my forte. Something about reading in the main characters POV really links me to them right away! Their thoughts almost become my own and creating a bond with them comes as easily as second nature, you know, that biased siding, because you feel a certain loyalty...Yep thats usually me. Well, let me say that K. A. Linde does an amazing job of sucking you right in to the heart of the story. I felt everything that Alexa did and it was as though I was living her life...The joy the heart break, I was there for it all, and felt every minute. Each character has so much personality that you really get to feel as though you know them on a personal level. From the first introduction to Ramsey I fell in LOVE! He is so genuine and real, unlike his horrible sister Bekah! Jeez I didn’t think I had it in me to despise someone off the bat, but she really took the cake. My intuition certainly paid off with that one...She is a sneaky awful person willing to do anything, hurt anyone to get her awful way. By the end of the book I wanted to reach through the pages and strangle her. Deceitful BeeYotCH! Ugh, she made me sick! Even though throughout the story I didn’t agree with Alexa, I understood where she was coming from and I kept cheering her on! Don’t get me started on Jack, I feel like his middle name should be A**! That guy was such a creep and I wanted to kick his butt! Chyna was Alexa’s best friend and boy did she ever pull through for her! She was instrumental in Alexa’s sanity and one can’t help but fall in love with her! I know I did from the start! This is such a great read! It’s full of drama suspense and so many OMG moments it’ll keep you reading through the night! I highly recommend this book!

My fav’s

Alexa

Throughout the book all I found myself doing was cheering her and her happiness on! She is so smart and dedicated and committed all you want is for her to succeed and kick Jack to the curb. Even though I didn’t agree with the things she did, I truly understood why she did the things she did. Everyone has been there! Well, maybe not everyone but I sure was! Giving, and risking everything for the person you truly love. That is something most girls are willing to do...Recap I.LOVE.ALEXA.

Chyna

The ultimate wing woman...This fabulous duo is unstoppable, I was so happy they had each other! Chyna was super sexy and cool I just wanted to be her. You know she is a little broken and all you want to do is fix her! Its not often that I also fall in love with the best friend but there is something about Chyna that shines through the pages and thats why I fell in love right away!

My Rating

4.0 Dramatic, Late Night Strolls Underneath a Pier, filled stars! You won’t regret this read! Go out and get it, then tell me how much fun you had reading it!

  1. I don't know why but I've been so hesitant to start this series! I think I'd read a few negative reviews about the book sometime back and people aren't all that fond of Jack I guess. But Lexi and Chyna (that's such a cool name btw) do sound amazing! Brilliant review Ria! :)
