GR's Summary:

War between heaven and hell is coming, but Dante Walker makes it look damn good. Dante’s girlfriend, Charlie, is fated to save the world. And Aspen, the girl who feels like a sister, is an ordained soldier. In order to help both fulfill their destiny and win the war, Dante must complete liberator training at the Hive, rescue Aspen from hell, and uncover a message hidden on an ancient scroll. Dante is built for battle, but even he can’t handle the nightmares where spiders crawl from Aspen’s eyes, or the look on Charlie’s face that foretells of devastation. To make matters worse, the enemy seizes every opportunity to break inside the Hive and cripple the liberators. But the day of reckoning is fast approaching, and to stand victorious, Dante will have to embrace something inside himself he never has before—faith.

Lindy's Thoughts:

The Dante Walker Series has taken me on one very wild, exciting, and adventurous journey!  It is one of my favorite YA paranormal favorites, and I highly recommend it for males and females alike!  Tis series has had everything that makes a great series!  We've been given unforgettable and unique characters, a plot that completely hooks you, and keeps your interest, with a variety of surprises, humor, romance, friendship, and fantasy!

The Warrior continues where The Liberator last left off.  Heaven and Hell are preparing to go to war.  There are sacred scrolls that need to be deciphered that will lead to clues about what is to unfold.  So far we know that Aspen and Charlie are instrumental in Heaven winning the war.  Aspen is "the soldier" and Charlie is "the saint," as referenced by the scrolls.  Unfortunately, Aspen is stuck in hell.  As The Liberators, and other allies to heaven begin to go through extensive training for the final showdown, traitors are discovered, secrets and surprises revealed, as and The Collectors and Sirens continue to find ways to infiltrate the hive.  Dante is determined to protect Charlie, train hard, and help decipher the scroll.  Everything ends up going topsy turvy in the climax of The Dante Walker Series!  While I was able to predict a few things that happened, there were still plenty of surprises that blindsided me!

I love Dante!  He still has major swagger, arrogance, sarcasm, and everything that makes him an amazing character!  Pow!  When Date appears on the page, you can't help but hold on to every word, though, and action that takes place!  To top it off, Dante went through some major character growth.  He underwent a huge trail of faith.  He didn't believe "The Big Guy" cared about him, and deep down Dante despised himself, and felt unworthy of redemption.  We got to see a very human side to Dante in this final installment.  He had to deal with his fear of losing Charlie, and anger.  He became more "human" as he started to develop really deep friendships with others, and let himself care, and eventually trust in Kraven's plan.

It was wonderful getting reunited with all of my favorite characters from this series.  We get more Charlie, Annabelle, Kraven, Blue, Max, Valery (Red), and Lincoln.  We also meet a few new characters.  Oswald, was an old professor that was brought in to decipher the scrolls.  Neco, Paine, and "The Jack Rabbits," and many ordinary humans were brought in to the picture.

I love paranormal stories with angels, and demons, heaven, and hell.  This series is amazing, and I would recommend it to those of you that are fans of The Sweet Trilogy, by Wendy Higgins.

My Rating:

I give, The Warrior, by Victoria Scott, 5 POWerful, Exciting, Addicting, Swagger-Filled Dantelicious Stars!  Read this series if you are a fan of YA Paranormal stories about angels and demons with a lot of laughter, romance, plot twists, and unforgettable characters!!!

My Favorite Quotes:

"I spoke the words.  Even now, I feel like I don't know half of what I'd like to know about Charlie.  But maybe love is like that.  Like two souls greet each other and say, it's you, and then they wait while the bodies and brains catch up.  Maybe sometimes, that's all it takes.  A few moments, and then you know." (eARC, Loc. 1370)

~Dante

"That's the only way to argue: bend to your woman's will, then show her you're a man."  (eARC, Loc. 1846)

~Dante

The Way Ria See’s It
WOW! POW!! The Warrior was an amazing read, a part of me can’t believe this series is over! Its bitter sweet when something so amazing comes to a close. Ms Scott holds nothing back in this beautiful installment. Dante has come a long way since his days in The Collector. This whole cast will become a staple amongst all of your books. The action kicks off from the beginning, and will have you turning the pages frantically through the end. The world building if phenomenal and the flow is so seamless this book reads like a movie in your head! I laughed, I balled, I was SHOCKED, and my heart swelled with joy!!

T-urmoil, Dante abandoned his friend in the most painful way. He dreams, and these dreams hold the key to winning the impending battle that lies ahead.
H-eart, Dante holds a part of his heart close(Charlie), yet the other part is in hell(Aspen), he will do what it takes to make sure his girls are safe.
E-mbrace, ever the voice of faith and kindness Charlie will ask Dante to pray because with the help of big guy he can be so much more. Dante just needs to see how strong and how worthy he is of the Lords love and acceptance.

W-orry, there is a traitor amongst the hive Oswald has warned Dante. Determined Dante will find the person who has betrayed them and make them pay.
A-ssigned, Kraven knows every ones strengths and he will do what he can to train them to get them ready for the battle that has been foretold. Dante has never trusted but he will allow Kraven to guide him he knows this is bigger than anyone can imagine, he knows he has to be the best in order to protect Charlie.
R-ise, the liberators are not enough they are grossly outnumbered, help will come their way  unexpectedly. Dante will seek the help of Lincoln and what he offers is better than Dante could’ve imagined.
R-ector, before the battle begins Dante loses the last portion of his heart to hell. Enraged doesn’t begin to cover Dante’s emotions he will fight until there is no fight left in order to save those he loves most.
I-mmortal, Rector has found a way to ensure ultimate strength taking the life of an innocent will cement his evil. Killing a part of Dante’s heart isn’t enough an innocent sacrifices her own life to bring this monster down. Everything has been attempted, now all Dante has left to do is accept the light into his heart embrace his love and ask for his help.
O-pportunity, reinforced with a power unknown to him Dante will slay the beast and cast him where he belongs. He has always been the key but the pain of losing those around him weigh heavily on his heart.
R-evere, Dante’s life has never been easy even after death he faced many challenges. Knowing what truly lies in his heart he would do it all again risk everything again to do what is right and what is just. He doesn’t know the future but his heart is open to what will come. Everyone has always known he would be great it took the love of an angel on earth to make him realize it too.

GAH!!!!! I WANT MORE!!! Everything was so amazing! EPIC! GRAND! It’s the final countdown!!!!Cha cha cha!! Okay so we all know this has always been Dante and Charlie. We have always known Charlie’s heart to be pure but even she had to come to terms with some pretty heavy stuff. In The Warrior EVERYONE is challenged. EVERYONE. There is a lot of loss because well, that’s what happens on the battle field right? We were introduced to Oswald amazing character this guy! MY WISH from my Liberator review came TRUE!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

HOW Mother EFFIN AWESOME is THAT?!!!!! Yeesh!! I about fell out of my chair with that one!

Seriously.

Kick.

Arse.

SERIOUSLY!

I STILL WANT MORE!!! Okay okay I totally know that’s selfish but that’s what happens when you fall in love with characters! You want them to come back! The good news is I can revisit them whenever I’d like and you can bet your britches I’ll be doing just that! This series is spectacular a definite must read. It’ll have your head spinning, jaw dropping, and heart swelling.

My Fav’s

Dante
Dante, Dante, Dante! What can I say?! He started off as a total bad guy in charge of bringing down the Savior well let me tell you his heart won out. It was there all along he had to find it in himself when he does we see an amazing transformation take place. Don’t get me wrong he is still the super funny charismatic charmer he has always been but he knows things are bigger than him. He was definitely challenged in this installment because he had to face his own demons and overcome his fear. I was so happy to see him reach his full potential and I know you will be too! He is fierce with his love for his girls there is nothing he wouldn’t do for them. *Sigh* I LOVE DANTE!

Charlie
Amazing this girl is love hope and kindness personified. Her faith never waivers not ONCE! Though she is gripped by fear and desolation her heart will guide her on the righteous path. It is faith that brings her to acceptance, there are things no one can change, Charlie has lived that first hand. Charlie also knows that embracing her destiny with an open heart is the only true way to defeat evil. She will do just that. Oh and let me just say super duper Kick A$$ go Charlie! Woop Woop get it girl! She is all sorts of amazing ready to burst!

Aspen
Okay so we know where she has been and let me tell you…If Dante’s dreams are any indication of the horrors she has had to face? This girl is super hard core!! Emphasis on the HARD cause terror she has witnessed would cause anyone to break but not my Soldier girl! POW everything she contributed was instrumental even in the depths she fought. Dante and Charlie couldn’t have done it without Aspens ferocity!  This triumphant trio will remain in my heart for eva eva. Eva eva!

My Wish
Okay here we go I’ve got ALL appendages crossed here… eyes shut…wait better keep them open as I am typing and all…Kraven…and a little someone pretty special at the forefront of amazing things to happen…maybe? Some deets? A few pages mayhaps? Okay okay I won’t beg anymore ooh a special Easter egg for her too? Gah!! Okay okay I’ll stop! This was an amazing escape I loved everything about this series and these wonderful characters!!

My Rating
5.0 Hell, Hive, Blue, Vodka, Training, Traitor, Heff, Savior, Soldier, Warrior, Wings, Valery, Paine, Neco, Two Hearts, Secret Sacrifice, Yellow, Easter Egg, Full circle absolute redemption purest LOVE filled stars!!!
