ARC for Review

Summary
When Katrina Hale's brother dies in a house fire, she's determined to prove she's stronger than everyone thinks she is. But grief can do strange things to a person and Katrina knows all too well how the death of a loved one can change a person. As the romance in her current relationship fizzles, she focuses on her work and fights the undeniable attraction she has for Greyson Neal.

Firefighter Greyson Neal is the type of guy girls dream about. But Greyson isn't interested in other girls. He wants the one woman he can never have: Katrina. As the two struggle with their feelings, Kat must choose between her career and her heart, and fight to keep them both when an arsonist threatens to take it all away

The Way I See It
Burn Me was a thrilling game of who’d done it? The charisma and the characters jumped off the pages, unfortunately the story left me wanting a little more…Don’t get me wrong the writing was excellent I was pulled in and on the edge of my seat for the most part. Kat and Greyson are great characters, plenty of redeeming qualities. Perhaps it was the execution at the end? I’m not sure…Maybe some tweaking here and there? Maybe this is a simple case of “it’s not you it’s me”? I like Ms.Watters' style the steamy scenes were off the charts and the firemen woo hoo *fans self* Can we get more books with firemen please? Let’s start a petition…I would love to see another book perhaps about Jake or Kevin something to get into their psyche…The ending was pretty sad and it opened up a few holes that I felt needed some more patch work…Sigh I enjoyed the ride I just didn’t really get the feels ya know?

B-
urden, Kat wants so much from the world she is constantly fighting to be the best. She wants to atone for the life that was ripped from her, she will fight death with every breath she takes on every call her fire station gets.
U-
nion, Kat’s heart is ripped in two when she realizes she committed it to the wrong person. Now she fears the person she chose is the person she should have stayed away from since the very beginning.
R-
eality, Greyson is faced with the fact that he can no longer fight his feelings. His reasons are just and the truth is on his side but he is still pained by what has to be done. Running is no longer an option Greyson will fight for the love he knows he can offer and the love they deserve to share.
N-
ear Death, Kat keeps facing situations that put her in harms way faced with a dangerous job is nothing compared to the calculating threat that plans to end her life.

M-
isery, torn apart by circumstances Kat and Greyson know nothing is solved and even though they can be together life keeps getting in the way. Soon the catalyst will endanger their lives and certain truths will be revealed. A terrible price will be paid but a sacrifice is made out of love will hold the key to their happiness.
E-
motions, through a dark veil of sadness Kat and Greyson accept the precious gift given to them. Through their love they will honor the memories of those they loved and lost.

I wanted this story to be so much more. I enjoyed it, but there were just a few things I would have done differently, and I felt like certain things were left open or unanswered. Nothing pertinent to the story but I’m a meticulous little bird and like to know everything about everything. I felt like so many things could have been avoided with just a little bit of communication but well isn’t that the foundation of so many tragedies. I recommend this for anyone looking to delve into the minds of steamy fire fighters and doesn’t mind a few un-dotted i’s or crossed t’s!

My Fav's

Greyson

Be still my heart! He did everything right! There was a point where he could've been week and fallen a few notches in my book BUT NOPE!! He sure as heck got it together and hightailed it out of there! *sigh* I wanted him to be happy and at the end I think he really was. Greyson was an exemplary character and he stole a little piece of my heart!

Kat

There were a couple of times I yelled at her(seriously I yelled) but she had her reasons for not being forthright immediately. To be quite honest her awesome personality overshadowed her mistakes. Its really hard to tell the future when your not psychic and hindsight is always 20/20. Talk about a messed up situation Kat’s life became, my heart went out to her and I quickly became cheer captain of Kat’s team! ;0)

My Rating
3.0 Firefighter, Twin Brother, baby Brother, Drunk Night, Diesel, Naked Embrace, Shower Scene, Cockroach Scream, Revealing Photographs, Mystery Civic, DC arson, Hardware Store, Engulfing Flames, Red Dress, Passionate Surrender Love filled Stars! For some schmexy firemen check out this book!

  2. Great review Ria! Even though you didn't enjoy this one as much as you hoped, I love how passionate you seemed to be over the characters. Wanting to yell at them. Glad I'm not the only one who does that!

  3. At first I thought the character's name was Karina Hale, like the author. lol - the guy on the cover looks afraid of the chick, like he's trying to get away from her.
