GR's Summary:

Billionaire playboy? Check.
Ruthless businessman? Check.
Absolutely sinful? Check.

Malcolm Saint was an assignment. A story. A beautiful, difficult man I was supposed to uncover for a racy exposé.

I intended to reveal him, his secrets, his lifestyle—not let him reveal me. But my head was overtaken by my heart and suddenly nothing could stop me from falling. I fell for him, and I fell hard.

Malcolm Saint is absolute Sin, and I've become a hopeless Sinner.

Now that the assignment is over, Saint wants something from me--something unexpected--and I want this wicked playboy's heart. But how can I prove to the man who trusts no one that I’m worthy of becoming his plus one?

Lindy's Thoughts:

Katy Evans writes some of the sexiest books that I have ever read.  Her love scenes are so erotic, that if there was a such thing as written foreplay, she would be the master.  I don't know how she does it, but it's as if she is weaving a magical spell on me and the rest of her readers.  Each time I read one of her books, I find myself so immersed in her stories, that it is like I am living each scene right alongside her characters.

Manwhore+1 picks up right were the first book in the series ended.  Rachel is madly in love with Malcolm.  It happened suddenly, intensely, and surprisingly; for a woman that has never cared about her love life, and instead has focused all of her energy on her career as a magazine writer.

Malcolm has refused to see Rachel for four weeks, due to a major falling out that they had.  When he agrees to see her, she is ecstatic, and thinks this is her opportunity to work things out with the man that she loves.  However, Malcolm wants to see her for an entirely different reason.  He has a business proposition for her.  Will Rachel be able to win the man of her dreams back, or has she destroyed all chances of a reconciliation?

Manwhore+1 was delectable.  It was scorching hot!  The chemistry between Rachel and Malcolm was a living breathing entity.  I felt Rachel's angst and pain concerning losing the man she loved.  She messed up, but was willing to apologize and work hard to prove to him that he could trust her again.

Malcolm was an enigma to most people.  However, he showed himself to Rachel.  He was very generous, kind, fun-loving, and had trouble letting his guard down.  He could get any woman he wanted.  Yet, all of these women wanted something from him.  After all, he was a powerful millionaire.  Rachel was different.  She cared about Malcolm for the person he was, and saw past his power and money.  She loved him because he was special.

This series is very character driven.  However, there were a couple of plot twists, and great secondary characters as well.  I'm hoping that down the road, we will get stories on Malcolm's best friends, Tahoe and Callan, as well as Rachel's best friends, Gina and Wynn.

My Review:

I give, Manwhore+1, by Katy Evans, 4.5 Dibs on the Sinful Saint, Erotic Foreplay, Deep Emotional Connection, Adoring and Loving Stars!

The Leap Isn't So Scary If Someone Is There To Catch You

Eeeeeep Manwhore +1 was an exhilarating and super fun read. Ms. Evans has a way of taking stories and making them scorching while sweet. She takes her characters and makes the reader swoon and swoon time after time all the while keeping them real. Last we left off the tension was high Rachel made a colossal mistake and we find her wallowing in pain. I could not wait to pick up the story and see what would happen next. Ms. Evans does not disappoint from poignant moments to intense and real emotions the pages just flew by. If you are a fan of love and passion this is the series for you.

The Story, Rachel messed up big time but she is determined to make things right. Having lost Saint has been the hardest thing she’s ever experienced but she has to find a way to move on. Soon. But not yet. Right now she wants to think about how things could’ve been different. Regardless every moment with Saint has been worth it for her. Malcolm is so angry but there is something more powerful at work and these two collide in a wonderfully passionate way. Facing another foe is easy for Malcolm but Rachel wants to protect him these two act for each other’s happiness intuitively and instinctually. Figuring out life is hard but these two finding their way back together is as natural as a rainbow after the rain.

The Characters, everyone is back with just as much zeal and passion as the last novel. In M+1 Rachel loses herself for a bit and it was heartbreaking being inside of her head during the self doubt and anger for her loss and heartache. Malcolm had a different way of dealing with the pain he felt but the reader doesn’t feel the gravity of said pain because we do not get his pov. Though we don’t hear his thoughts his actions show the despair he felt at Rachel’s betrayal. Pursuing her is more than a challenge, its something he will never stop doing. Their connection is unlike any other and he knows how precious they can be together. Get ready to watch this hot tamale of a ruthless man take what is his, in a most delicious way. The besties and co-workers were great I wonder if more will come of them in the future…

The Ending, double sigh talk about a man who knows what he wants without surrender.  He is able to protect his love while loving and cherishing her at the same time. I was smiling ear to ear with the way things ended. I loved the giddy feels the ending gave me. This was a wonderful love story that I recommend as a great steamy afternoon read.

Mikki's Review:

When I finished reading the first book of this new sexy series, I was left at the edge of my seat! Yup! Major cliffhanger that had my stomach in knots. I was anxiously waiting for the continuation of Rachel and Malcolm's steamy, intense and passionate love story. If you have read the first book you know exactly what little Miss Rachel did to Mr. Saint. I won't spoil it for those of you who did not read it, but I will tell you this ... My heart broke when a secret was exposed and it turned Rachel and Malcolm's world upside down.

Manwhore+1 is the continuation of Rachel and Malcolm's journey. In this book, our beloved couple will need to trust each other if they want to give their love a chance. Rachel is determined to conquer the heart of the man that she loves. Malcolm is still torn about what happened with Rachel. He's mad at her on one side, but on the other side, he loves her fiercely. Will they be able to forgive and forget and give their love a chance?

When I started reading this book, I was crossing my fingers that we would get a few chapters from Malcolm's POV. He's such a mysterious man. I wanted to know EVERYTHING about him. Even if this book is told in Rachel's POV, I have to admit that Malcolm's personality shines in this book. I really got to know who the real Malcolm Saint is. Katy Evans did a fantastic job at making us feel the love between this couple. Malcolm and Rachel have a great chemistry. You can feel the sexual tension between them when they are in the same room. It's deliciously electrifying! Katy Evans wrote some pretty steamy scenes. Prepare your fan because you are going to need it!

Rachel had to make important decisions in this book. I loved her determination to fight for what she wanted. Nothing or nobody was going to stop her from having the man that she loves in her life and the career that she's always wanted. I loved how Malcolm showed his support. Rachel might not have been 100% in agreement with his business decisions, but when it came to their love they both wanted the same thing.

Manwhore+1 was a great book that I enjoyed. I'm happy how Rachel and Malcolm's HEA was written. Katy Evans always delivers a page-turning reading journey that gives you all the feels. I loved every scene with Rachel and Malcolm's friends. They are great characters that add a touch of awesomeness to this story. I hope they each get their own book.

My Rating:

I give Manwhore+1, by Katy Evans, 4.5 passionate, sexy, intense, wickedly hot stars!

  6. I love Katy Evans too! I really want to read this series. I did receive the second book from the publisher, and started reading it, but decided I must read Manwhore first. I am feeling for Rachel though, being lost. But I want... no NEED to meet Malcolm!!
