Summary
It's been six weeks since angels of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. Street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night. When warrior angels fly away with a helpless little girl, her seventeen-year-old sister Penryn will do anything to get her back.

Anything, including making a deal with an enemy angel.

Raffe is a warrior who lies broken and wingless on the street. After eons of fighting his own battles, he finds himself being rescued from a desperate situation by a half-starved teenage girl.

Traveling through a dark and twisted Northern California, they have only each other to rely on for survival. Together, they journey toward the angels' stronghold in San Francisco where she'll risk everything to rescue her sister and he'll put himself at the mercy of his greatest enemies for the chance to be made whole again.

Oh my word. Did someone say horrific post apocalypse doom?

Throw in a bunch lost angels and some terribly wicked ones who don’t deserve the grace of their position, and you’ve got yourself Angelfall. Poignant and powerful are the first two words that pop into my head. If you haven’t read this series you are CRAZY!!! Pick it up now! I could not put this one down…from the first page until the last I was completely enthralled!!
YA…Yes
World Building…I felt like I was there
Lead Characters…Love them(mostly Penryn)
Side Characters…Love them too even the crazies
Bonus…Action, determination, perseverance, love, honor, loyalties, strength…

The Story, So on and so on and so on! There are so many reasons why I want to give this book a 5star rating but there are a couple of things that are holding me back. Honestly this is probably my own fault…The thing is that the author did such an amazing world building job that I felt like holy moly this could totes happen?..Scary right? Yea I think so too…but the mom being comps off her rocker Cray and conveniently “there” all of the time seemed paranormally book convenient. That’s when I’d be like trying to calm my heart and saying see Ria just a book this could not and would not ever happen. If you’ve ever read any review of mine or bio you know…I LOVE ANGELS!!! In every way!! Angelfall is a hauntingly scary amazing I’m running to my bookshelf for the next asap!

The Characters, Penryn!!! Eeeeps fangirling big time here! This girl kicks serious butt!! Not in an extreme buffy vamp slayer crazy power way but…In an I’ve been taking self defense of every sort since a young age, but I’m still just a 17 year old girl so don’t expect me to go all Shera on a crazy legion of demons. Not only does she kick butt in the physical sense she is also a mental powerhouse of strength. Everything she stands for makes me 100% her supporter through and through. Raffe I'm liking him okay because I see the potential but as it stands my heart mostly belongs to Pen. I’ve seen bits and pieces of him caring about her but he is very guarded so I haven’t been able to fully look into his persona non grata. I’m not worried in the least…I’m actually pretty sure as the series progress I will fall hard and deep for him. As for the side characters Mom I thought I wouldn’t care for her in the least but there is a mystery there and I love the crap she pulls. I can’t wait to see if she’s as crazy as everyone thinks or if there is something else going on. Paige WOW…not what I was expecting but the situation is dire peeps fo realz. DIRE. Obi…reminds me of Abraham from tWD I love him and the spymasters don’t get me started on all those feels.

The End, JAW on FLOOR… Holla canolla y’all I was CRYING!! An awful omg that is the most brutal thing that could ever happen to another living creature. Shock, despair, agony, NOW WHAT?!! Not good people not good…Thank HEAVENS the final book is out cause I feel like I’m going to ZIP through this whole series and have a wonderfully bittersweet book hangover…I can easily see this becoming one of my faves. Bravo Susan Ee BRAVO!! Tre Magnifique!!!

My Rating
4.5 Apocalypse, Rotten Eggs, Wheelchair, Wings, Cloth, Office, Cottage, Noodles, Cat Food, Resistance, Cat Fight, Cow Prodder, Party, Kiss, Betrayal, Scorpions, Bodies, Children, Twins, Wings, Fire, Truck, A broken but “together we will figure it out family” love filled stars!!!
