Summary

The gods of chaos cannot be trusted.

Since battling her best friend, Darlena’s grip on Red Magic has been shaky. She heads to Scotland after the Winter Solstice in search of another Red Witch.

On a sightseeing excursion with girls from her hostel, Darlena arrives at The Vaults, a mysterious underground city beneath Edinburgh. But there is something there that make Darlena’s instincts go haywire, as she lets loose a defensive burst of Red Magic, putting everyone around her in danger.

If there was ever a time when Darlena needed the help of another Red witch, it was now. But beware the witch who wields Red Magic.

A Broken Mirror Hardly Makes a Blip
I certainly was not expecting things to go the way they did. This is the second installment of the Red Magic series and McConnel holds nothing back. Gods of Chaos brings back all of the Gods from the first and then some. This was a very enjoyable read that answered some questions but opened up a whole set of trouble for Lena.

G-ift, Lena is powerful and now she will use her talents to seek out help in order to achieve her goal.
O-bstacle, with only a vision to go by Lena is taken to a strange land in search of something she's not sure she will ever find.
D-reams, still the target of some God's Lena is torn between what is true and what the deception may be.
S-udden, death brings Lena face to face with the one she sought so fiercely.

O-pposite, Marcus and Lena are day and night but something special sparks between the two of them.
F-ury, losing a dear friend will set Lena on a whirlwind chase to get her back.

C-hance, bargaining with the king of liars can not have a positive outcome but Lena has no choice.
H-elp, turning to Marcus' family was a bad idea but every stone needed to be turned.
A-lone, Lena finds comfort with Marcus with their shaky union she will stop at nothing to get her friend back.
O-pportunity, a kiss seems to come too late. Life has other plans for these two Red Witches.
S-ituation, Lena's true enemy comes back and is ready to destroy.

As I mentioned before McConnel doesn't hold back. Get ready for some hum zingers  There were a lot of twists and turns. I'm still waiting for that a ha moment from Lena but I'm sure its right around the corner. I was really shocked at the way her budding romance came to a screeching no can do buckaroo. Fast forward to the end and watch me pick up my jaw from the ground! LOL seriously I'm hooked now I can not wait to see her character development. Plus call me a sap but I want some romance!!

My Rating
3.5 Betrayal, Plane, Boulder, Green Eyes, Brown Eyes, Trap, Sister, 6, 3, So Many Gods I can Barely Keep Track, Blood, Battle, Truth filled stars!
