GR's Summary:

First in the new Silver Valley series from the New York Times bestselling author of the Reapers Motorcycle Club Novels Fourteen months.

For fourteen months, Puck Redhouse sat in a cell and kept his mouth shut, protecting the Silver Bastards MC from their enemies. Then he was free and it was time for his reward—full membership in the club, along with a party to celebrate. That’s when he saw Becca Jones for the first time and set everything in motion. Before the night ended he’d violated his parole and stolen her away from everything she knew.

Five years. It was five years ago that Puck destroyed Becca and saved her all in one night. She’s been terrified of him ever since, but she’s even more terrified of the monsters he still protects her from... But Becca refuses to let fear control her. She’s living her life and moving forward, until she gets a phone call from the past she can't ignore. She has to go back, and there’s only one man she can trust to go with her—the ex-con biker who rescued her once before.

Puck will help her again, but this time it’ll be on his terms. No more lies, no more tears, and no more holding back what he really wants...

My Thoughts:

I love Joanna Wylde's, motorcycle men!  Nothing gets my motor revving like these powerful, protective, and sexual alpha males!  Ms. Wylde is my top choice when it comes to choosing a motorcycle romance!  No one writes these kind of stories better (in my opinion).  Her stories are always full of passion, seduction, raw desires, suspense, danger, and an amazing cast of characters.  Her plot lines always have me riveted to the pages, and excitedly anticipating each and every part of the story.

In Silver Bastard, we get the first story in the brand new, Silver Valley Series.  This is a spin-off of the Reapers MC Series, my all-time favorite Motorcycle Club Series!  Our main characters are the sexy, manly, rough around the edges, Puck Redhouse, and the resilient, beautiful, and brave, Becca Jones.  Puck and Painter (a Reaper) just got out after serving fourteen months  in a correctional facility on a weapons charge.  Puck went in as a Prospect for the club, and after he showed his allegiance and loyalty, the club honored him as a member of the Silver Bastard's MC.

At Puck and Painter's Welcome Home Party, Puck see's a beautiful woman, and she is everything that he's every dreamed of.  She has a look of innocence about her, a beautiful face, gorgeous body, and a clean and fresh look that he's been looking for in his ideal woman.  Puck shares a night to remember with Becca, and from this point on, she will always be the one that he wants.  However, there are serious complications that occur when Puck discovers disturbing information.  He takes her away from her home in California, and moves her to Callup, Idaho.

For five years Puck stays away from Becca, but when he see's her again he wants her more than ever.  He decides that she will be his "Old Lady."  Now, he just needs to convince Becca.  As the passion between Puck and Becca heats up, she begins to rely on him more, and feelings grow.  Puck is very protective of Becca, and determined for her to turn to him whenever she needs help.  When a significant problem arises, Puck will prove that he will do anything for her, but will Becca give up some of the control?

Silver Bastard was one crazy adrenaline rush after another!  Puck and Becca had insane chemistry which lead to such raw, savage, and explosive passion.  I could not put this book down!  We get some of my favorite characters from the Reapers MC Series including Painter, Mel, Picnic, and London.  We also have Boonie and Darcy, who is the Club President of the Silver Bastard MC and his "Old Lady".  We are introduced to Miner, Deep, and Demon, who are Silver Bastards, and I am looking forward to each of their stories.  Ms. Wylde creates amazing and memorable characters full of personality and authenticity.  What makes her a master storyteller is that her stories have well crafted characters, primal and passionate romance, and plot lines that are exciting, entertaining, and addicting!

My Rating:

Bravo Ms. Wylde on giving romance lovers another exhilarating and thrilling new story!  You know how to please your readers and give us exactly what we want!  I am looking forward to continuing the Silver Valley Series, as well as the Reapers MC Series!  As a matter of fact, give me any book written by Ms Wylde, and I will happily devour it!  I give, Silver Bastard, by Joanna Wylde, 4.5 Mega Sexy Motorcycle Man, Provocative Panty-Melting Plot, and Puck's "Old Lady" Filled Stars!
