GR's Summary:

Natalie Bourne thinks she has the perfect night planned for her twenty-first birthday. But when her car breaks down and her boyfriend bails on her, she’s left stranded in an auto shop dealing with a way too cocky, way too hot mechanic, who seems to be intent on pushing every button she has.

Monroe Hawkins knows he shouldn’t be messing with a girl from the uppity private college. Especially when he can tell she sees him as the help. But he’s having trouble resisting the redhead with the smart mouth and the killer legs. So when Natalie’s night goes from bad to worse, there’s no way he’s letting her spend her birthday alone. He makes her a deal—he’ll take her home but not until the sun comes up.

Ten hours, one motorcycle, and the city of Austin at their fingertips…things are about to take a major detour. And soon, there may be no U-turn in sight.

My Thoughts:

Nice Gils Don't Ride by Roni Loren was an adventurous, fun, and very sexy whirlwind romance!  Natalie Bourne is all dressed up and ready to go out for her 21st birthday, when her car breaks down.  She keeps calling and texting her boyfriend to pick her up, and he doesn't respond to any of her messages.  As Natalie waits for Autoland to come and tow her car, a different tow truck appears, and out walks a sexy looking bad boy biker, Monroe Hawkins.  Monroe tows Natalie to his brother's shop, so he can attempt to fix it.

Unfortunately, things go from bad to worse on poor Natalie's birthday, so when Monroe offers to show her a good time, she takes him up on his offer.  What does she have to lose?  Natalie is in for a night to remember, and the beginning of a new adventure in her life.

I loved this novella.  It was extremely fast-paced, and I was so excited when I saw that the story was told in Natalie and Monroe's dual perspectives.  I enjoyed the fact that there was a lot more to Monroe than his appearance suggested.  Monroe's character was full of great surprises, and I adored learning about him.  I also enjoyed Natalie's character.  While at the beginning of the story, she seemed quiet, passive, and a people pleaser, she was able to show another side of herself with Monroe.  I thought her feisty, confident, and adventurous side was very appealing.

My Rating:

If you are looking for a quick, feel good, adventurous read, Nice Girls Don't Ride is perfect!  The main characters are both really likable, the romance is steamy, and the storyline is very light-hearted, and hopeful.  I give, Nice Girls Don't Ride, by Roni Loren, 4 Sexy and Sweet Bad Boy Filled Stars!

About Roni Loren:
Roni wrote her first romance novel at age fifteen when she discovered writing about boys was way easier than actually talking to them. Since then, her flirting skills haven’t improved, but she likes to think her storytelling ability has. After earning a master’s degree in social work from LSU, she worked in a mental hospital, counseled birthmothers as an adoption coordinator, and did management recruiting in her PJs. But she always returned to writing.

Though she’ll forever be a New Orleans girl at heart, she now lives in Dallas with her husband and son. If she’s not working on her latest sexy story, you can find her reading, watching reality television, or indulging in her unhealthy addiction to rockstars concerts. She is the New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of The Loving on the Edge series.
