Reviews on The Edge of Never HERE

Ro's Take on this Journey:

If in deed, you believe in fate, then you will believe in Ms. Redmerski's love story of these two soul mates, that met on a bus heading for nowhere.  The Greek mythology, and the undying love of Eurydice & Orpheus, and their perfect fit, is the shared premise associated with Andrew and Camryn. They each have one half of the whole of these two allusive, poetic lovers tattooed to their bodies.  The semblance being that one is not whole without their other half, and so goes the continuing love story of Andrew Parrish and Camryn Bennett.

The edge of Always is the sequel to the unforgettable novel, Edge of Never.  Let me begin by saying that Ms. Redmerski is a very talented and skilled writer.  She pulls you in so deep that you are under water and waiting for the riptide to pass.  Her prose are flawless, and her descriptions original and all consuming.  She puts it all on the table for you.  Every i is dotted and every t is crossed.  These books are a treasure filled with unforgettable characters that are multi-dimensional, and the reader gets both perspectives of the two main characters.

I loved how this second novel began with Andrew's perspective of him waking in the hospital.  It began where Edge of Never left off.  Camryn finds out she is pregnant, and she is quite frantic worrying about how the baby will affect their "free spirited," "by the seat of your pants," life style. Andrew doesn't seem to think that anything will change and reassures Camryn over and over again.  Camryn and Andrew are in Houston playing some gigs together, and Camryn is home sick.  They decide to go back to Raleigh to be back by her mom and her only friend, Natalie.  Andrew will do anything to make Camryn happy no matter what it takes.

This story reveals the loving, tender, sensitive, and intuitive side of Andrew.  He can read Camryn without her saying a word.  Once in Raleigh, fate steps in and hits Camryn and Andrew with another tragedy.  Camryn shuts down, and she her all consuming pain is so overwhelming that she cuts her self off from feeling.  Her past losses and disappointments catch up with her, doors she has never been able to close are suffocating her.  Camryn curses the God responsible for taking her happiness that always gets stolen from her.  She falls short and gets involved in a dangerous lifestyle.  Once Andrew realizes what is going on, he is desperate to find the answer to his dilemma.  Being the one of a kind guy that any girl would love to have worship them, Andrew takes Camryn away on one of their road trips, filled with free spirited, non-conforming lifestyle to reach her once again. They backpack to where it all really began for them, New Orleans.  They realize that you can't go back and recreate what was already a perfect moment in time.

This novel takes us on a trip of a lifetime.  There are obstacles, mistakes, wonders, and a trip of a lifetime.  There are so many walls that Andrew fights to tear down to get back the glimmer in his girls eyes, and will stop at nothing short of a miracle.  He will save her from the depths of her despair, because she is the other half of his soul.  Camryn is Andrew's one and only, his everything, his soul mate, and Camryn feels the same about Andrew. She loves him with all her heart and soul, and learns to live in the moment, instead of always living in fear and doubt.  Neither can live without the other, each needs the other in order to take their next breath. This novel is multi-generational, full of good, bad, and tragic occurrences.  You won't want to miss this prolific love story, filled with beautiful, romantic, erotic, tender sequences.  Ms. Redmerski creates watercolor sketches that will be imprinted in your memory.  The epilogue leaves the reader in a good place, ready and waiting for the next segment in this dynamic series.

I give, The Edge of Always, by J. A. Redmerski, 5-Prolificly Poetic, All Consuming Fated Soul Mates, Endless Love-Filled Stars!!!

Quotes:

"In that second of tragedy I was reminded about death all over again and how fast it sneaks up on a person."  "We can't control death," I say.  "There's nothing either of us can do to avoid it or to hold it off.  All we can control is how we live out lives before it comes for us.  So, let's promise each other things that we can hold true to no matter what."  (Kindle Loc-1814)

"Our tattoos touching.  Orpheus and Eurydice becoming whole again as we become one with each other."  (Kindle Loc-2105)

"Andrew has always amazed me. He amazed me with the way his mind worked.  The way he could look at me without saying anything and make me feel like the most important person in the world.  I've learned in my time with Andrew that it can also be a wonderful thing, and that usually when something happens that seems unfair, it's just Life's way of making room for better things to come."  (Kindle Loc-3649)

"A lot of people take fate for granted.  Some have everything they've ever wanted or needed right at their fingertips, but they abuse it.  Others walk right past their only opportunity because they never open their eyes long enough to see that it's there." (Kindle Loc-3822)

"You're everything to me, and I want you to stay strong and not let your fear of the past taint the path to our future."  (Kindle Loc-3831)

Mikki's Review:

The Edge of Always by J.A. Redmerski was PHENOMENAL! How many times do we wonder what happens after we turn the last page of a book? This is exactly what The Edge of Always is all about. When I read The Edge of Never I had a first class seat on that Greyhound bus with Camryn and Andrew. I was extremely happy when I found out that we were getting a second book in this series. I cried so much with Camryn. I wanted to hold her and tell her that everything would be fine. Everything ended for the better, but we find out in The Edge of Always that LOVE conquers any fear or obstacle that we may find along the way.

The Edge of Always takes place a few months after where The Edge of Never ended. I do suggest you read TEON before you read this one. You NEED to feel that incredible love story that Camryn and Andrew share. It's one of the most beautiful, powerful, heart-warming story that I have ever read. In this book, Andrew and Camryn's love is put to the test many times. Many difficult events come an interfere with their HEA. They have to chose where to live and the only place they can actually call home is the ROAD. On the road they LIVE in the moment. Each stop teaches them a lesson. After a tragic event, Camryn lives in a state of numbness. Andrew works hard to bring back the girl he fell in love with.

This book makes me want to get in my car with my husband and go discover the world. There are so many things to learn. I learned a lot with Camryn and Andrew's road trip. They made it fun, exciting and most of all they lived their life to the max! I am so glad that J.A. Redmerski decided to continue their story. We can identify easily to Camryn and Andrew. They are such a fun couple to follow and fall in love with. Andrew's love for Camryn is incredible! Sweet Jesus! The way he loves his girl ... Awwww!!! Holy Swoon! He's such an amazing man! My expectations were exceeded with this book. J.A. Redmerski wrote a perfect sequel to TEON. Camryn and Andrew hold a piece of my heart and I will never forget their fantastic love story.

I give The Edge of Always by J.A. Redmerski 5 powerful, sensational, sexy, emotional stars! You need to put this series on your TBR list ASAP! ;)

  1. The Edge of Never is an amazing book! I love road trips, and I love music. Combine those two things with a seriously awesome romance, and the book becomes pretty darn good. I'll definitely read this book sometime. :)
