GR's Summary
An orphaned, small-town, southern girl, held hostage by responsibility and self-doubt.

A Hollywood A-list mega-star, on the run from his latest scandal and with everything to lose.

A chance encounter that leads to an unlikely arrangement and epic love affair that will change them both forever.

When his co-star and real-life girlfriend is caught cheating on him with her married and much older director, A-list hottie, Jack Eversea, finds himself in sleepy Butler Cove, South Carolina.  Jack hopes the sultry southern heat in this tiny coastal Lowcountry town will hide him not only from the tabloids and his cheating girlfriend, but his increasingly vapid life and the people who run it.  He doesn’t count on meeting Keri Ann Butler.

Keri Ann has relied on herself so long, dealing with her family’s death and the responsibilities of keeping up her family's historic mansion, that boys and certainly the meager offering of eligible boys in Butler Cove, have never figured into her equation. But fate has other plans. Suddenly face to face with the man who played the movie role of her favorite fictional character, Jack has Keri Ann yearning for everything she has previously avoided ... and Jack must decide whether this funny, sassy girl is worth changing his life for, before his mistakes catch up to him.

Eversea, a love story, is a Winter Rose Contest FINALIST 2013. Emilia Pisani of Simon & Schuster (judge) says "Great southern flavor!" and "Jack is an alluring leading man!"

The way I see it

OH MY HOLY MOTHER OF CUTE BABY TURTLES EVERYWHERE!!!  What just happened?!  Magic people, freaking fantastical magic!!!  Wow, as you all know, my TBR is like this endless vortex viper of a black hole!!  It’s sooo INSANE, because I just keep adding to it and skipping along. Yep!  SKIPPING along.  I love IT!  I love getting to pick up a precious JEWEL such as EVER-MOTHER-EFFIN-EVERSEA!!!  My heart is racing right now...GAh!!!!  Okay, let me take some calming breaths and wrap up my rant...

Breath in.

Breath out.

Okay, I’ve dried my eyes, and I’m composed.  To say Eversea is UnPutADownAble, would be an understatement!  From the moment I cracked the book open, I fell in “LOVE” of the Instant variety ;)  Seriously!  Ms. Boyd is SO CLEVER.  There is a spell embedded in the first few pages that hypnotize you.  You will find yourself reading at; red traffic lights, standing by the copy machine, in a meeting, at your little ones soccer practice, and during dinner.  Later in the evening, excusing yourself at the earliest possible opening, to continue reading through the night, dozing off and waking at 3:30 am with the first thought being “OMG, Where's my kindle?  Where's my kindle...?”

Okay, Darn it!  I keep ranting!

Sorry, Let's try this again....

The way I See Eversea

Eversea is a beautiful love story with an amazing supporting cast.  Everyone's role was perfectly amazing, and they all FIT. Eversea is not over in the end!!  Actually, the ending is a little cliffy, which you know I hate, but it wasn’t all “someone's dying, someones dead, or some crazy question is left looming in the air.”  Oh, and no one comes back from the dead.  H
owever, You will be like, “WHAT?!"  This CANNOT be the LAST PAGE!”  It hit me like a train, upon actually accepting that it was indeed the last page... One million fluttering little pterodactyls manifested in my tummy anticipating what's to come...

E-scape, a bike, and thousands of miles puts distance.  The shame is in the past, but only time can alleviate his heartbreak.
V-ulnerable, lost, alone, blissfully unaware of her fears.  Life, and pain becomes a reality for Keri Ann.
E-nsnared, unable to avoid each others warnings or warnings of their hearts these two “dipoles” fall hard.
R-evelation, scorned but refusing to lose, a past that should stay past, comes crashing in.  Fighting for what she wants, she will claim Jack's future.
S-eparation is torturous, and agonizing.  There is nothing anyone can do to change what happens.  As painful as the madness is, there is only one road to travel.
E-nraged, betrayals, truths, second chances, broken hearts, what was once known, will shatter in a moment of blurred chaos and rage.
A-ssumptions, his friends in search, her friends protecting, what type of cacophony awaits?

Speaking of assumptions, I’m assuming y’all read the synopsis movie star guy, virginal girl...Yea, you’ve read it before, so have I  .DO.NOT.FRET. it’s DIFFERENT...How can this be RIA? I don’t know it just IS. Maybe it's the magical spell embedded in the beginning? I want to SHOUT from the rooftops!  So yea, if you like “Love” you’ll LOVE Eversea.  READ IT!

My Fav’s

Keri Ann
INSTA-Love, she was riding in her truck, and I immediately fell in love! It's her personality!  Lol, her inner dialogue is great!  She is innocent, but not whinny.  Of all of the things she is, most of all she is believable!  There was never a dull moment.  Everyone in the town loved Keri Ann. She is funny, honest, enjoyable and beautiful!  She shines off of the pages.  I love her :) I wholeheartedly agree with everyone from Butler Cove! Keri Ann is a treasure.

Jack
Is HOT, honorable, sweet, funny, alluring, and a little broken. He doesn’t do a single thing wrong in this book, but he isn’t flawless and everyone knows it to a certain degree;) WARNING: Jack will make you swoon! I don’t know about you, but there is NO such thing as to many hot guys with tattoos that have a bike. The tattoo’s MEAN something and the Ducati... aside from only being a means of transportation, well it's the Catalina Wine Mixer of Motorcycles.  (POW!)

My Rating

4.75 Red Truck, Baby Turtles, Drunk Pastor, Dead Puppies, Red Sea Glass, White Bikini, Spiteful ex, Right Hook, Crushed Dreams, New Dreams, Embracing Life filled Stars! I really REALLY wanted to give this 5 stars but a BIG 5 star factor is the HEA... This story isn’t over shhh... Fingers crossed on things to come... Stop what your doing and Go GET.Lost.In.Love!
