GR's Summary:

College drop-out, Roxy Cumberland, moved to New York with dreams of becoming an actress, but her dwindling bank account is quickly putting the kibosh on that fantasy. To make some quick cash, she signs up to perform singing telegrams. Her first customer is a gorgeous, cocky Manhattan trust-funder if she ever laid eyes on one. And what could be more humiliating than singing an ode to his junk, courtesy of his last one night stand? Maybe the fact that she’s dressed in a giant, pink bunny costume...

After a night out to celebrate winning his last case, lawyer Louis McNally II isn’t prepared for the pounding in his head or the rabbit serenading him from the front door. But the sassy wit and sexy voice of the girl behind the mask intrigues him, and one look at her stunning face—followed by a mind-blowing kiss against his doorjamb—leaves Louis wanting more.

Roxy doesn’t need a spoiled rich boy who’s had everything in life handed to him on a Tiffany platter. But there’s more to Louis than his sexy surface and he’s determined to make Roxy see it...even if it means chasing her all over NYC.

Lindy's Thoughts:

Ms. Bailey always delivers sexy in her romances!  I love all of the books that I have read of hers.  She creates dirty-talkin', sexy take charge male leads, and love scenes that give my stomach butterflies, and make my toes curl.  I am so happy that I got the opportunity to read Chase Me, the first book in Ms. Bailey's new, Broke and Beautiful series.  One thing is for certain, Ms. Bailey never disappoints her readers!

In Chase Me, we meet Roxy Cumberland and Louis McNally II.  Roxy has moved to New York to pursue her dream of acting.  However, getting her big break has been difficult.  In order to try to make ends meet, (after her room mate kicks her out of their apartment;) Roxy gets a job singing telegrams.  One day she is hired to sing in a pink bunny costume an ode to Louis McNally's penis, by his latest one night stand.  When she see's Louis' lavish apartment, and he's hungover at 11:00 AM on a weekday, she comes to the conclusion that he's a spoiled rich boy use to getting whatever he wants.

Louis doesn't know what it is about Roxy, but he is drawn to her.  They exchange witty banter, a steamy kiss, and he gets her to remove her bunny mask so that he can see her face.  She is beautiful.  After Roxy leaves, Louis can't get her out of his head.  He goes to great lengths to track her down, but Roxy is reluctant to trust Louis' intentions beyond wanting to sleep with her.   He begins to pursue her, and is determined to prove that he is worth her time.

Chase Me was such a fun story.  Roxy was a great character.  Her personality really stuck out to me.  I loved her spunky, confident, and colorful personality.  Louis was a very sexy, sweet, and caring leading man.  I loved that there was a lot more to him than met the eye.  When Roxy and Louis were on the page together, fireworks exploded, passions ignited, and seduction ensued!  This was the perfect fun, light-hearted, and entertaining read.   It brought me huge smiles, laughter, goosebumps, and was a feel-good reading escape.

My Rating:

I give, Chase Me, by Tessa Bailey 4 Witty Banter, Dirty Talkin', Passionate, Feel-Good Stars!  This is another great read by Tessa Bailey, and romance readers will be delighted to meet Roxy and Louis!  I can't wait to read the next book in the series, Need Me, which will be about one of Roxy's room mates, Honey, and Louis' good friend, Ben.  Roxy's room mates were hilarious, and Louis' friends will make excellent leading men.  I can't wait to get to know Abby's room mates, Honey, and Abby, as well as Louis' best friends, Ben, and Russell better!

Mikki's Review:

New Adult is my favorite genre to read. I discovered this genre about two years ago. I was more of a paranormal reader before I was introduced to so many amazing authors in the NA genre. So when my favorite genre and my favorite author are having a party, I'm the first one to attend! :)

Chase Me, by Tessa Bailey, was freakin' fantabulous!!! If you have read Tessa's previous books you probably know that the characters that are fighting for her attention in her writing cave (Oh, what would I give to spend a day there!!!) are IRRESISTIBLE! The first installment of Tessa Bailey's new series will give you all the feels. It's sweet, sexy, romantic, funny and panty-melting hot!

Chase Me is the story of Roxy Cumberland and Louis Mc Nally II. Roxy's dreams of becoming an actress in New York, but the lack of interest of the people in the show business world is really making her road to success a bumpy one. When she gets kicked out of her apartment because it's one too many times she can't pay the rent, Roxy turns to a job offer that is not was she had hoped for, but that will at least help her put food in her mouth. When she knocks on a door wearing a pink bunny costume the last thing she expect is to come face-to-face with a hot-as-hell guy.

Louis has no clue who the girl behind the pink bunny costume is. After an awkward singing telegram, and an even more awkward conversation, he’s intrigued. When she's about to leave he has one request for her: he wants to see her face. What he sees leaves him breathless and the unforgettable kiss she gives him leaves him speechless. Louis will do whatever it takes to find her. When theirs path’s cross again, Louis is determined to show her that there is more to him. Chasing a pink bunny all over New York City is far from easy, but Louis is ready to get in all kinds of trouble to get Roxy.

I freakin' loved Chase Me!!! I was cheering for Team Loxy from beginning to end! It's so easy to fall in love with them! When I read one of Tessa's books I feel like two of my good friends are on this incredible journey to finding love. I stick by their side through ups and downs, and I cheer for them in their moments of happiness.

The connection that I feel towards these characters is indescribable! Their chemistry is undeniable and out of this world HOT! Their banter between them is crazy addictive and it left me LOL in so many occasions. I loved how both these characters grew together on this journey. They learned a lot from each other and ended up finding love when they least expected it.

It shows that Tessa Bailey had a blast writing Chase Me. It was fun, flirty and fantastic! Each time she starts a new series she does a fantastic job at introducing us to the characters that will make us get lost in their worlds. The supporting cast of characters for Chase Me is sublime! They all fit perfectly in the story. I can't wait to read more about all of them. Need Me is the next installment in the Broke and Beautiful series. This will be Honey and Ben's book. Honey is Roxy's roommate and Ben is Louis' good friend. This will be a forbidden student/teacher romance. Eeeeep! So excited to read about these two!!!!

My Rating:

I give, Chase Me, by Tessa Bailey, 5 entertaining, sexy, fantastic, page-turning, pink bunny stars!

  1. Glad you guys liked this book. I'm not really a judge-a-book-by-it's-cover kinda girl, but this cover just doesn't do it for me. However, based on your review, I'd read it.
