GR's Summary:

There was a time when Nick loved the fear he instilled in his enemies. His tattoos alone promised danger, but it was the look in his eyes that delivered on it. A contract killer since he was just a boy, Nick has now forged a new life and a new identity with the woman who followed him, captured him, and changed him.

He terrified Daisy. Once. But she couldn't resist, and she ignored every warning. It paid off. Now she's part of a new beginning, a fresh start in America helping him to leave behind a reckless and violent past as a professional killer. But the past is never easy to outrun, especially when so much of it thrives on revenge.

A new threat has emerged from the shadows, and now Nick and Daisy have no choice but to rely on Nick's killer skills to protect them from everything they've tried so hard to escape.

My Thoughts:

The Hitman Series has been a thrill ride a minute, and is perfect for fans of dark fiction, erotica, and high octane suspense!  I loved Last Hit, and Last Breath.  All of the books in this series have a way of taking you into the story, where you feel as much a part of all of the action, as the main characters are.

Last Hit: Reloaded is a novella that focuses on Nikolai and Daisy, the main characters from the first book in the series, Last Hit.  You definitely need to read Last Hit, and should read Last Breath, before you read this novella, because there are references that are made to the two previous stories in the series.  In this novella, Nikolai and Daisy are trying to adjust to "normal" life.  They are both going to college.  Nikolai is pursuing art studies, while Daisy is taking business courses to learn how to invest their money wisely.

Nikolai doesn't need anyone in his life, other than Daisy.  She brings him happiness and unconditional love.  Daisy loves Nikolai with all of her heart, but she is lonely, and longs for friendships, which proves to be a larger challenge than she had anticipated.  As Nikolai and Daisy navigate their lives, they are dealing with a gunman on the loose, a nosy police officer, and a classmate's abusive boyfriend.  Will they survive all of the threats to their safety and happiness?

I love "My Nick!"  He has to be the sweetest fictional ex-assassin ever!  I adore the way he dotes on Daisy, cherishes her, and treats her like a queen.  Not to mention that he is a sexy and protective alpha male, who seduces more than Daisy's body (although he does an excellent job of that!)  Daisy has a heart of gold.  I could easily relate to her compassion, and admired her selfless nature.  This novella was a calmer addition to the series.  It wasn't as suspenseful, but instead focused more and Nikolai and Daisy's blossoming relationship.

My Rating:

I give, Last Hit: Reloaded by Jessica Clare and Jen Frederick, 4 Unbridled Passion Filled Stars!  I can't wait to continue this series!
