Synopsis:

From NEW YORK TIMES & USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton, known for her “deliciously addictive” (The Book Vixen) novels, this Cocktail series novella reunites readers with Caroline and Simon from the wildly successful Wallbanger.

Simon and Caroline are back for another round of baking, banging, and big life changes. Settling in, but never settling down, Caroline has finally struck a balance between the professional and the personal. As one of the top interior designers in San Francisco, she travels all over Northern California between nook time with Simon.

Perpetual globetrotter Simon has cut his frequent flyer miles in half over the last year, preferring to balance his professional and personal life, as well.

The next step in their lives seems preordained—toasts, veils, and the aisle of rose petals. But when an accident on a photo shoot in Southeast Asia brings Caroline the most terrifying phone call she could ever imagine, she has to ask whether “till death do us part” is a more realistic prospect than faces most couples.

It’s been a grand adventure, and Caroline and Simon wouldn’t go out without the best surprise ending ever. One part sexy, one part laughter, a dash of exotic locales, and one pink nightie, mixed with passion, and you’ve got Last Call. Served with a side of Clive.

My Thoughts:

Ms. Clayton has ended the Cocktail Series with a B-A-N-G!!! I will never ever forget this series, and can say with absolute certainty that it is my all-time favorite adult romantic saga, only tied with Emma Chase's Tangled Series!  This all-star cast of characters are back to share their life changing moments, hilarious commentary, beautiful friendships, and the ultimate perfect ending to Caroline "Pink Nightie Girl," and Simon "Wallbanger's" epic journey.

As life continue's on, Mimi and Ryan are getting ready to tie the knot, and Sophia and Neil and preparing for their bundle of joy to arrive.  It seems like everyone around Caroline and Simon are getting married or having children.  This leaves Caroline contemplating what's in store for her future with the love of her life, "The Wallbanger," himself!  After Caroline and Simon get engaged, chaos ensues, and everything begins to revolve around the wedding.  However, when a scary and unexpected accident occurs, it make's Caroline realize what is really important to her.

I will treasure the unforgettable moments that I got to catch up with Simon and Caroline, Mimi and Ryan, Sophia and Neil, Jillian and Benjamin, Viv and Clark, and Chloe and Lucas.  Caroline and Simon are as hot for each other as ever, and can never keep their hands off of each other for long!  The passion and lovemaking between these two continues to sizzle, and never get dull!

The Last Call Series is the perfect pick-me-up.  I find that it is the perfect prescription for me when I am feeling a little sad.  These stories instantly make me feel better.  They bring me huge smiles and a ton of laughter.  I will miss these characters, especially Simon and Caroline, and will always remember them.

My Rating:

I give, Last Call, by Alice Clayton, 5 Wallbanging, Sentimental, Swoon Inducing, Sweet and Spicy Moments Filled Stars!  What an epic ending to an amazing series!!!  If you haven't read any of the books in the Cocktail Series, you are seriously missing out!

My Favorite Quote:

"I just wanted to say the same words to this man that people had been saying for generations.  I wanted to stand up with this man and make sure that he knew he was mine and I was his for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, as long as we both shall live.  And the rest?  Bull to the shit." (Pg. 98)

About Alice Clayton:

Novelist Alice Clayton makes her home in St. Louis where she enjoys gardening but not weeding, baking but not cleaning up after, and is trying desperately to get her long-time boyfriend to make her an honest woman–and please buy her a Bernese Mountain dog.

After working for years in the cosmetics industry as a makeup artist, esthetician, and educator, Alice picked up a pen (read laptop) for the first time at 33 to begin a new career: author. Having never written anything longer than a grocery list, she soon found writing to be the creative outlet she’d been missing since walking away from the theater 10 years before.

She has a great time combining her love of storytelling with a sense of silly, and she was shocked and awed to be nominated for a Goodreads Author award in 2010 for her debut novels, the first two installments of The Redhead Series–The Unidentified Redhead and The Redhead Revealed. Her latest novel Wallbanger is a return to her trademark comedic erotica, or funny smut, that Alice has become known for.

Additionally, Alice loves spending time with her besties on Not Your Mother’s Podcast (check them out on iTunes) and has recently partnered with actor Greg Grunberg, blogger Brittany Gibbons, and actress Keili Lefkovitz on a new travel show that will begin filming in January.

Alice enjoys pickles, Bloody Marys, eight hours of sleep and a good pounding.
