GR's Summary:

When it comes to passion this hot, it’s all or nothing.
Olivia Townsend’s wealthy cousin Marissa had everything a girl could ask for—a great job, a privileged life, and all the friends she wanted. Or, at least, all the friends money could buy. But one case of mistaken identity has turned her privileged world upside down.

An abduction gone wrong lands her right in the lap of the sexiest, most dangerous man she’s ever met. To Marissa, he’s an enigma, but one to whom she’s irresistibly, inexplicably drawn.

With him comes a new world of freedom and passion, of dark shadows and dangerous secrets, a world where nothing is what it seems—except for the blind passion that Marissa can’t escape—or maybe even survive.

 My Thoughts:

We get double the trouble, double the pleasure, and double the fun with both Cash and Nash in Everything for Us.  The Bad Boys series has been abundant in entertainment, excitement, suspense, and steamy sexiness.  I loved Down to You, and really enjoyed Up to Me as well.  So I was really excited to read, Everything for Us.  I loved getting the dual perspectives of Marissa and Nash.  Both of them had huge character growth, and went through a lot of sorrow, pain, and angst, from which they became stronger, wiser, and learned how to take charge of their own happiness, and lives.  They both learned a lot about what was really important in life, and were huge catalysts for change in each others lives.

In this story, Cash, Nash, Olivia, and Marissa are in constant danger.  The suspense and peril felt very real as the Bravata (Russian Mafia) were after them.  Cash and Olivia stayed together at Cash's apartment, and Nash offered to stay with Marissa at her condo in order to protect her from the continued threat.  There was no denying the chemistry between Nash and Marissa.  Nash was the ultimate "bad boy," who wanted sex as a distraction, and offered a "no strings" proposition to Marissa.  She accepted, and welcomed the distraction.  The passion between these two characters was intense, and explosive.  These Davenport brothers are alpha males through and through!  They like to take charge, and when they fall for a woman, they fall hard!

There were so many elements that made Everything For Us, a great story.  First off, there were high stakes threats, suspense, and danger.  I loved the realistic and phenomenal main and secondary characters.  I grew very attached to Nash and Marissa.  Nash was so broken inside.  Anger and the need for revenge controlled his life, and had been his main reason for survival in the dangerous world he had once lived in.  He had trouble transitioning in to a "normal life," didn't trust anyone, and resented the fact that his brother had happiness, success, and a woman that he loved, while Nash had nothing.  Marissa realized that she had lived a superficial existence her whole life, had no real friends, and even her father had been using her for his own selfish purposes.  She was alone, ashamed of who she had once been, and didn't know if she was strong enough to turn her life around, stand up to her father, and lose everything that she had once deemed important.  Together, Marissa and Nash accepted one another unconditionally.  They understood one another, and saw something deeper in each other that was good.  They supported one another, and what started out as sexual attraction, lust, and passion, grew to be so much more.

My Rating:

I give Everything for Us 4 Suspense-Filled, Passionate, Healing, and Explosive Stars!  The Bad Boys Series has been dynamic.  It's filled with twists and turns, and constant surprises.  You will fall in love with Cash and Nash, and the women that they love, Olivia, and Marissa.  The passion, and chemistry between the main characters was intense.  The fast pacing of this series will have you devouring these books in record time.  Now, I'm waiting for the Australian hottie, Gavin to get his own story.  I can't wait to see this bad boy fall in love, and I think Olivia's best friend, Ginger is just the girl to bring him to his knees!  I can't wait to continue this series, and don't want it to end!

My Favorite Quotes:

"Nash is hard, rougher around the edges than probably anyone I know.  And profoundly broken, I think.  But then again, so am I."  (eARC, Loc. 1700)

~Marissa

"Tonight is about leaving her with the other piece of my soul, the small part she hasn't already taken."  (eARC, Loc. 5704)

~Nash

"I've sailed all over the world trying to get away from you, trying to get away from what you make me feel.  All I've found is that there's no ocean big enough to drown out thoughts of you, no place far enough to escape your pull. You find me.  You always find me.  When I was lost in life, you found me.  You found me and you saved me.  And I know there's nowhere I can go that will make me happy as long as I'm sailing away from you.  The best part of me is you.  The only part that matters is the one you have, the one you hold in the palm of your hand."  (eARC, Loc. 5760)

~Nash

About the Author:

I was born and raised in the United States, and I’ve lived in several of the fabulous fifty. Though I currently live in the deep South, I spent much of my childhood up North and hope to return there one day. A few other things about me: I believe that sometimes you have to look really, REALLY hard to find the good in people, but it's there. I believe that I'm shrinking (I swear five years ago I was two inches taller). I believe my husband is quite possibly one of the most amazing men in the entire world (I can't be sure because I haven't met all of them). I believe coffee and chocolate, when combined, could be the basis for world peace. I believe that Jesus rocks and communism doesn’t. I believe that white makes me look fat and black collects lint. I believe summer's too hot, winter's too cold and fall was made for football. I like dogs better than cats and the first movie in a trilogy is invariably the best. But most of all, I believe that love conquers all.

  4. One thing I am very curious about is if there will be awkwardness among Cash, Nash and Marissa. She's been with Cash for the longest time. The fact that he's been pretending as Nash during that time makes things even more awkward..! That's just me though, so I wonder how M. Leighton wrote this book and the interactions between the three of them. :)

  5. This is such a heartbreaking story what has happened to separate Nash and Cash. I am anxious to see how they (if at all) renew their relationship. Also since Marissa has not been easy to care about, it will be interesting to read her story. Thanks for the post and the giveaway!
