There is need. And then there is Fate...

Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her. When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon... and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude... or killing her.

When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

The Way I See It

This book rocked! Ms. Armentrout knows how to weave a rock solid story. The pages kept turning of their own volition. Before I knew it, it was the end of the book. I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes love and angst.

P-ower, together Seth and Alex will have unmatched power, but is it what Alex wants?
U-rgent, called to an interrogation, Alex’s life will be turned upside down.
R-emorse, after an evening that elates Seth, rather than being on a cloud, he feels like he’s made a grave mistake.
E-vade, an all out battle ensues. It will take everyone on all sides to survive this threat. Seth does what it takes to save his other half and he will risk himself to ensure Alex’s safety.

Not a crazy cliffhanger.. But Kinda!! I wish I could put my life on pause and finish this series right now!  I’m so torn. This is one of those Love triangles where I just know my heart is going to be shattered into a million pieces!

TEAM SETH!!

When did I become “That Girl?” You know, the one that always falls for the wrong guy? Is it because in real life I FINALLY picked the right guy? Who the heck knows? Oh, and when in the H. E. double hockey sticks will the girl pick the guy that she’s supposed to fall in love with?

My Favs

Seth
He might be narcissistic, but he has true and deep feelings for Alex. I’ll be a monkeys uncle, if he doesn’t! I love him.  I want them to get married and have little Apollyon babies together! I know he’s keeping something from her, but by gosh, I don’t know what it is. I need to find out!! I just hope he doesn’t break my heart in the process.

My Rating

4.0 Cliffhanger, New York, Swimming Pool, Training, Kiss, Sleepover filled stars! There are so many storylines left unanswered, and I cant wait to see what happens to them.  Like i said before... Pick up this series and find out for yourself why this is so awesome.

  4. I'm just starting this novel! Right now, I'm leaning toward Aiden, but haven't fallen deeply in love. So we'll see where the second book takes me. :)
