Summary
It’s Dangerous to Go Alone!

Mia Strong never expected to be deciding the rest of her life at age twenty-two. Is she willing to become a human lab rat? Does she need to write a will? Does she ever want a family--and if so, with whom? She can't dodge the tough questions--not if she plans to live to see twenty-three. With her life hanging in the balance, Mia wants nothing more than to rely on Adam Drake, but he’s hurt her before.

You Must Gather Your Party Before Venturing Forth…

Adam Drake knows that he's made mistakes, but when he discovers what Mia's facing, he realizes how much those mistakes could cost him. Now he has to choose between being the man who can save Mia's life or the man she can love. No matter how much it tears him apart, Adam knows he has to put Mia first...even if it means he's out of the picture entirely.

Will their love survive this epic battle or is it game over?

This novel is the third and final book in Adam and Mia's trilogy, but they will be featured in future Gaming the System novels.

Facing Your Fears With Loved Ones by Your Side Makes Things Less Scary
So the last we left the bat cave…Things did not look good for our two fav nerd pair, WAIT I’m putting things mildly. To better get my point across I’ll say SH&# looked bleak. Like WTF is going to happen now? I was scared for Mia because I knew she had some extremely hard choices to make. This wasn’t ponies and rainbows y’all this was Mia’s journey of fighting her demons and the huge sh%#-storm life threw her way. When I picked up this installment my jaw was still on the floor from the last one. I am happy to report there is an HEA! Not with out the fair share of battle wounds though. This was the last book focusing on Adam and Mia but I hope to see more of them in the future. Much more!

A-lone, Mia is stubborn but the truth is out and Adam will stop at nothing to make her understand the situation.
T-ruth, an intervention of sorts is whats needed next being face to face with her mother Mia comes to understand and realize what she must do next.

A-gony, being away from Adam has been torture for Mia but she is broken so she is still hiding herself from him.
N-ear, Adam has made his share of mistakes but wanting to take care of Mia is akin to breathing so he will do what it takes to be her foundation.
Y-earning, the physical is there for both Mia and Adam but knowing that their bodies are ready is one thing…being emotionally ready on the other hand…thats an entirely different game.

M-istakes, through peppered conversations skirting around the issues of their relationship Adam and Mia must work through what happened in the past in order to truly overcome the threat looming near.
O-bstacles, so many things have happened to Mia and Adam there is nothing these two would not do for each other even walk away if thats what it takes.
M-issing, like two puzzle pieces one without the other just doesn’t make sense. The time apart will have to be enough for these two to mend fixing whats broken has to start with the individual before the mending can move on to the couple.
E-scape, Mia’s guilt was a steel trap but through the love of her friends and some very smart counsel she was able to break free of the bonds that kept her shackled.
N-ightmare, seeing each other for the first time in a long time will end calm their hearts but the reunion is only the beginning of mending what has been broken.
T-rust, knowing the love they share is absolute opening themselves is the next logical step. Making some life decisions this pair is ready to face what happens next. Fighting through life’s battles has strengthened these two beyond measure.

So I balled yea sad tears, happy tears, moved tears, and even proud tears, At Any Moment was gritty and real. As I mentioned before the ending was HEA but it did not come easily. Being by Mia’s side through the biggest fight of her life was difficult and moving. I admire her character so much because through the agonizing pain she remained a brilliant beam of light in every room. Once she was able to overcome her own stubbornness we were allowed to see in her heart and nothing has changed. Her love for Adam is amazing as is his for her. Ms. Aubrey has written something truly special with these two! I’ve loved every step of the way. Even through the sacrifices everyone made the emotions I felt ran high. Bravo! Oh! Did can someone say dual pov’s? Nailed it!! I def recommend this series if you have even a teensy bit of nerd in you!

My Wish
Well according to the way At Any Moment ended Jordan has some splainin to do! Lol I’ve always liked him so I’m glad he's next…My wish is…I’ve kind of fallen in love with Katya so maybe Jordan and Katya?

My Rating
4.0 Diagnosies, Intervention, 85%, Sacrifice, Guilt, Scarves, Room, Work, Early End, Scan, Paris, Bucket List, New Bucket List, Compass, Blog, Ring, Cabin, Comic Con, Cosplay, Tattoo, Viral, Pet Project, Two pieces of a puzzle coming together and sharing an epic love unlike anything they’ve ever experienced filled stars!!!

Mikki's Review

The Gaming the System series, by Brenna Aubrey, has been a unique and interesting series. It's not every day that I read about two gamers falling in love. When I got the chance to review At Any Price, which is the first installment of this series, I was pleasantly surprised by how fast I connected with Mia and Adam's love for the game. I'm not a gamer and I was under the impression that the background of the story was going to slow the story down for me. Oh, boy! Was I wrong! This is one aspect of the story that I loved! It was fun and entertaining!

At the beginning of At Any Moment you can feel the tension between Mia and Adam. Their relationship was put to the test one too many times and the trust that they had for one another has been broken by lies and mistakes that they have both made. This journey wasn't always easy, but that's the way life is! Mia and Adam learned from their mistakes and they took two steps back in their relationship before finally taking that final step that would change their life. The last few chapters were crazy intense! It's interesting how the author intertwined their love for the game into their personal healing journey. Mia was such a wonderful character to follow. It was inspiring to see her transformation.

The conclusion to Mia and Adam's journey was an emotional rollercoaster ride! I screamed, laughed and cried with them! They had to work on themselves individually to finally find a way back into each other's arms. It broke my heart to see Mia and Adam go through all those difficult moments. Sometimes I could not understand their reactions, but the more I read about their journey, the more everything made sense to me. Mia's journey is eye-opening. I loved how the author included some blogger posts of Girl Geek. That made me think of how this series all started and it was great to see such an important part of Mia's life. It made me think about us bloggers and how these posts that we create are a reflection of our love for books.

The secondary characters in this story were once again AMAZING! I really liked how they all came together for Mia and Adam. Friends and family are very important when your life spins out of control. When I read the ending I was happy to see that Jordan was getting his own story in the next installment of the Gaming the System series. I'm really excited to read his story!

Rating:

I give, At Any Moment, by Brenna Aubrey 4+ emotional, healing, FallenOne and Eloisa finally get their HEA stars!
