Synopsis:

They say the only good thing about hitting rock bottom is that it can't get any worse . . . or can it?

World famous boxing champ, Felix Sanchez, had it all—the fame, the fortune, and all the women any man could ask for. When the hours of partying followed by hours spent in court and in rehab begin to outnumber the hours he spends training, losing his title comes as no surprise to everyone. The world assumes he deserved to lose it.

Only those closest to Felix know the real truth behind his sudden downward spiral. And if Felix has his way, no one else ever will. With an uncertain future ahead of him, he heads back to his roots—5th Street—the gym that started it all for him. It's where he meets the humble but mighty little Ms. Ella.

The only times Felix had ever decided to forgo the usual meaningless fling and try a real relationship he was burned badly. Now the adorable but tenacious self-defense instructor has him considering this love thing one more time.

Then just when he begins to worry that his past is letting his possessive and jaded heart get the best of him, he's blindsided in the most brutal way—he's brought to his knees—to what could be the one low in his life he may never recover from.

**********

Team ABE : Hi Ella & Felix! Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with us today. We are so happy that we got a chance to attend Ella's class today. Ella, we know that this class means a lot to you :)

Are you ready to RUMBLEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Felix:

What is it about Ella that made you turn in to a one woman type of guy?

I can't say it was any one thing. It was more of a combination of lots of things. But if I had to choose one it was my admiration for her strength. Compared to how I'd faced adversity seeing how she'd faced hers was truly inspiring, admirable and I have to admit humbling. Every time I thought I couldn't be in more awe of her she proved me wrong.

If There was a movie about your life, what actor would play you, and what actress would play Ella?

Wow. Tough one. For myself I have no idea. Someone told me once Cauã Reymond would be a good choice and I guess I can agree. *shrugs with a grin* if he buffs up a little. For Ella. I personally would likely not think anyone good enough but if I had to choose it'd have to be someone with understated beauty. No one over the top or flashy. Ella's beauty is very unique not in your face. Maybe someone like Victoria Justice?

If you could describe your 5th Street brothers with one word, which word would you use?

Noah: Determined. Don't tell that guy there's anything he can't do or anyone he can't have.

Gio: Loyal...ironic I know. But he really is. He's proven it time and time again. And I can understand now why things went down the way they did in our past. Had it been me, and Ella was the someone I was supposed to stay away from I know my heart would've won out too. I totally get it now. You can't fight love.

Hector: Just one word? But he's hot-headed, erratic, oh I know. Cocky.. but in good way. *laughs*

Abel: Obstinate. But he puts up a good front. He may be adamant about a lot of things *smiles* Nellie has that guy under control whether he wants to admit it or not!

If you were granted one minute with Jack what would you tell him?

Thank you. I'll never say it enough. I owe everything to the man!

Ella:

Describe your life with Felix in 10 words or less.

Never a dull moment! Life with Felix will always be that and I keep telling him not to worry. I can handle this life!

Ella, you've been through so many hardships. What advice would you give another woman that is going through a hard time in her life?

Don't be afraid to admit you need help or could use a shoulder to cry on. It's good to be strong but you can't hold it all in. If you need help and there are people willing to give it to you take it!

If you were granted one minute with your mom what would you tell her?

*getting choked up* The same thing Felix said to Jack. Thank you mommy for giving me my strength. It's the greatest gift you could've given me. I owe it all to you!

Ella & Feliz, if you could pick one song to represent your love story, which one would it be and why?

Ella: Funny we were just talking about this the other day when the song happened to come on. "Because You Loved Me." I told him this song made me think of him.

Felix: After listening to lyrics for a little bit I told her she was nuts. It's everything I feel about her. She's the one who saw me through it all.

Describe your first kiss in one word.

Felix: Breathtaking!

Ella: *smiles* Agreed. Breathtaking

What are you especially proud of in your lives?

Felix: That we've never and will never argue or let the petty stuff come between us. It was the one thing I was most nervous about when I fell for Ella. That my lifestyle and my past would be a hindrance. But from the very beginning Ella proved she's above all that.

Ella: We've been through so much I can't imagine anything we can't get through.

Team ABE: We had so much fun today! We are so happy to see that things are going well with you two and with the whole 5th Street family. Thank you for receiving us with open arms!

Ciaooooooooo!

Lindy's Thoughts:

The 5th Street Series is a gem. It is a rare treasure in which every single book and character is unique and memorable. These stories completely hook you, until you find yourself addicted, and craving the next one. I literally have each of these books on my bookshelves of favorite books. These characters have buried themselves so deeply in to my heart, and I love each and every one of them. Felix was outstanding. It was the most emotional story in the series, and I wasn't expecting how it would wreck havoc on my emotions. I cried throughout this story, and it resonated deeply in my bones. What a beautiful story! Ms. Reyes is a one of a kind author. She is brilliant in the stories she creates. Her characters feel so real!

After reading Gio's story, Felix was my least favorite character. The way he cheated on Bianca and lacked respect for woman was a real turn-off. In the beginning of his story, we see him leading a life of excess. He is wealthy, sleeps with a variety of women, makes bad decisions, and doesn't seem to appreciate all that he has. When he meets the dynamic "Little Miss Ella," everything changes!

Ella has had her share of tragedies. She lost a sister to gang violence, a mother to Cancer, and has fought to bring self defense classes to her neighborhood, after her brother's girlfriend, Sonia, was raped. She is a woman full of integrity, grit, loyalty, and strong will. Ella has been working at fifth Street teaching her classes alongside Sonia and her best friend Carmen. She has become close with Nellie, Charlie, and Drew. She has avoided meeting Felix, because of the rumors that she has heard about him. However, Felix is set to be working at 5th street for an extended period of time. When Nellie introduces the two of them, sparks fly! Felix has never met any woman like Ella, and the more he learns about her, the more she intrigues him. Ella gets to know the real Felix, and loves who he is. These two have a lot of challenges to overcome. Can they get through it all?

My heart broke for both Felix and Ella. We learn about a secret tragedy that Felix had to endure. This tragedy was soul crushing, and after it was revealed, I understood Felix more. I realized that while had made some mistakes, he grew up, and we all know how tragedy can change a person's life forever. I respected Ella, and admired her character. She was unbelievably strong and resilient. Together, Felix and Ella were a perfect match. I loved how sweet and gentle Felix was with Ella. He cherished the person she was and every moment that they spent together. I loved how beautifully Felix and Ella fit together!

It was awesome getting to see Noah, Roni, Gio, Bianca, Hector, Charlie, Abel, Nellie, and all of the babies! The 5th Street Family is very special to me, and I enjoyed how Ms. Reyes wrote the Epilogue by alternating the guys perspectives! Ms. Reyes always writes the best endings!

Rating:

Felix was a story with depth, humor, romance, sex appeal, chemistry, and friendship! Felix and Ella's characters were extremely likable. This is a story that everyone will be able to relate to. It was beautiful and memorable! I give Felix, by Elizabeth Reyes, 5 Extraordinary, Emotional, Empathetic, and Erotic Stars! 5th Street Fans, you're in for one very special and memorable story! If you haven't read anything by Elizabeth Reyes, what are you waiting for? She's one of the best storytellers and is at the top of my favorite authors list!!!

Favorite Quote:

"When they truly love you, they love hard. You'll feel it and there will be no question about it. True love at its purest is something that cannot be faked, not even by the best cons out there." (ARC Pg. 329)

Ro's Take On This Journey:

Felix, By Elizabeth Reyes, is part of the 5th Street Episodic Saga, that will resonate to the deepest depths of your soul. You will sob, you will laugh, you will sigh, and you will cry out with pleasure!!!

Yes Ladies, Eli, The Queen of Romance, has once again set the reader in a tail spin, and you will land out of orbit!!! I read Felix in one sitting. It was authentic, dynamic, inspiring, and tragic. It will hit you hard and knock you out! Only Elizabeth Reyes could write a saga like this, make each character so intriguing that you can't put it down, then go on to the next episode and do the exact same thing with a new character, all over again! She is amazing!!!

Felix is known all over the world. He is a womanizer. He see's a skirt, gets an opportunity, and says, "Why Not?!" He loses one agent after another because of his volatile personality, womanizing, and trouble following him at every turn. His agent keeps telling him to slow down and stop jeopardizing his career. Felix is obstinate and does things his own way. What the reader doesn't realize is that his pain runs so deep, that he doesn't care what happens to himself or his career, because avoidance is better than having to feel. Felix has a lot of hidden heartache that only his immediate and 5th street family know about. The reader learns about the real heart and soul of the man that is carefully hidden behind the ever present facade.

Ella is a wonderful character. She is well rounded, has a huge heart, a genuine personality, full of love for everyone, and is a dignified, honest, beautiful young woman. This character is the kind of person everyone wants in their lives. She lives with so much pain, and spends most of her time talking to her deceased mother to help her make the right decisions in her life. Ella had a sister that was murdered when she was young, her mother died of breast cancer, her brother's girlfriend Sonja, got raped, and a father that can't deal with any of it who has become a hoarder. Ella starts a self defense class for women and Nellie brings it to 5th Street. Ella has big ideas that include a breast cancer awareness walk at 5th street that will be highly publicized because of Felix, Abel, Hector, Gio, and Noah.

After 2 years of avoiding the likes of Felix, Ella comes face to face with the boxer, and things change for both of them in a big way. Neither one of them look back once their torrid romance gets going. Ella is determined not to become another notch on Felix's big listed belt, and Felix is determined to do whatever it takes to win over the beautiful Ella and prove that he isn't the man she thinks he is. These two fascinating characters and their families have a lot in common. The more Felix learns about Ella, the more he knows he has to have her, because she is different from any other woman he has ever known. There are a lot of ups and downs, but there is always the calm front Ella portrays in order to be grace under pressure. She is resilient, calming, nurturing, loving and kind. She is authentic and that is what gets under Felix's skin.

Felix and Ella make a dynamic partnership that will leave the reader reeling. Don't miss out on the wonderful saga filled with will passion, love, secrets, heartache, and soul mates. You won't regret it! I guarantee all of Eli's followers that they will devour every mouth watering morsel of this book, as if it was being spoon fed to them, one delectable secret at a time...

I give Felix, By Elizabeth Reyes, 5 Boundless, Passionate, Soaring, Life Changing Stars!!!

Mikki's Review:

It's with tears in my eyes that I write this review. This story was an emotional roller coaster ride of emotions, and it made me cry more than once. But that is not the reason I have tears rolling down my face. It's because this is the final installment of a series that has owned my heart since the first time I read the first installment. Elizabeth Reyes' 5th Street series has completely stolen my heart and I feel like Noah, Gio, Hector, Abel, Felix and the whole crew are more than fictional characters. They are a part of my life. They are my family. They have made me live so many beautiful emotions. I have suffered of many books hangover and I was caught many times rereading these books. When people ask me what makes me read a book more than once, I always answer the same way. I reread it because I want to feel every single emotion just like I did the very first time I read it. And, that is exactly the feeling that I get when I go back and read these books. My stomach is full of butterflies, my blood is on fire and I'm an emotional mess every.single.time. Elizabeth Reyes' writing style is captivating and unforgettable! I have been waiting for this book for a very long time! I knew that this last installment was going to be big! It's freakin' EPIC!!!! I had high expectations for Felix. Elizabeth Reyes' delivers every.single.time.

Prepare to meet the Pride of East Los Angeles and Mighty Little Miss Ella. When these two are introduced at the 5th Street gym, the last thing they expected was to fall for each other. Felix has been burned in the past, but Ella makes him want more. As the days go by, their relationship grows into an intense and passionate love story. When unexpected obstacles come knocking on the door, will the world famous boxing champ recover from the punch that life decided to deliver?

I have to admit that I was not a fan of Felix. He was introduced in Gio, which is the second installment of the 5th Street Series. I felt weird not liking him because I knew that eventually he was going to get his own book. The fans of this series wanted his story, and I am so glad he decided to show up in the writing cave. The more the series was advancing, the more I wanted his book! I can't imagine him not having is own story now. Do you know why? Because it's my all-time favorite book from Elizabeth Reyes. When I read Abel's book it left me breathless. Nellie and Abel have been sitting nice and comfy at the top of my favorite couple list, but guess what? It's time to add two extra seats at the top of that list. Ella and Felix are moving in! They ROCK!!! These two have some SERIOUS hot chemistry!! *Fan Self*

I loved every single minute of my reading escape! I read it in one sitting because I simply could not put it down! Ella and Felix have been through so much! I was a complete mess when secrets of the past were revealed and when life changing obstacles were heading their way. These are two individuals that fell hard for one another and never looked back. Their love is intense, passionate, romantic and breathtakingly beautiful! Their connection is so strong and their love is inspiring.

When the new covers for the 5th Street Series were revealed I was ecstatic! I find that each of the covers represent these Alphas perfectly. When the cover for Felix was revealed I knew that that cover was speaking loud and clear. It showed me the REAL Felix. Strong, determined and he has a heart of gold! Ella was the perfect woman for Felix. She trusted him with her heart and even if they had to overcome some obstacles, he was always by her side. This story made me feel it all. I was even angry!!! Ella's ex-boyfriend, Grayson, completely made me lose it! I was ready to jump in my reading device and deliver two or three or ten virtual slaps! He made me so freakin' mad!!! You know who had a few memorable scenes? Hector!!!!!! Sweet Jesus! I love him to pieces!!! He made this story so much fun!

This was the best way to close the 5th Street series. The epilogue left me with a happy smile and, happy tears as well! It was such a beautiful gift for the readers that have been following these couples since the very beginning. The 5th Street Family will forever and always have a place in my heart. I see many rereads in the near future and I am crossing my fingers that all the 5th Street kids will get their own HEA. I'm especially crossing my fingers for a Jack and Reina book. These two could get in all kinds of good trouble! Gahhhhhhh!!!! Por favor!!! Please!!! Try to make an appearance in the writing cave?!?!?!

Rating:

I give, Felix, by Elizabeth Reyes 5 emotionally charged, exciting, romantic, passionate, all-consuming stars!

The Way We See Felix & Ella:

Teaser:

For a moment, he forgot where he was. No one else existed but the two of them. He kissed her long, unable to get enough until she pulled away wide-eyed but smiling.

"Felix," she whispered, licking her lips, then looked around casually--nervously.

All right, so there were a lot more eyes on them now. He didn't give a shit, but he didn't want her to feel uncomfortable. So he settled for a hug instead of kissing her again like he wanted to, squeezing her tightly. "You have no idea what you do to me," he whispered in her ear.
