The Seven Deadly Sins Tag

Hi everybody!

We have been tagged for the Seven Deadly Sins Tag post by our awesome friends Janhvi and Sarika from The Readdicts

Here are our answers for the Seven Deadly Sins Tag ;)

Thank you for tagging us Janhvi & Sarika! <3

1. What's your most inexpensive book?

Lindy:
The most inexpensive books I have are all my eARCS, ARCS, and finished copies for review, which don't cost me any money.  As far as books that I have purchased, I have a huge amount of free and 0.99 eBooks :)

Ria:
Hm...Books are priceless?.. As far as actual currency goes I'd say half priced books? I bought my little guy a 50$ book for 5$ so that was pretty cool. I'm a total Cover(you know what) so if a book doesn't catch my eye it also doesn't catch my purchase.

Ro:
My most inexpensive books are my free books through Kindle Amazon, Nook, Arcs, and E-Arcs, all free!

Mikki:
I have a lot of freebies on my kindle, but I think my most inexpensive book is Love's Charade by Jane Feather. I paid it fifty cents at a garage sale.

2. What author do you have a love/hate relationship with?

Lindy:
The Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout!  I love this series so much, and have been completely hooked on it.  Every time a new book in the series would come out, I would immediately buy it, drop everything, and read it in record time.  Then, when I would come to the end, I would be so sad, because I knew I would need to wait a whole year for the next book to come out.  Also, JLA would kill me with her cliffhangers!  These books each would end with such a suspenseful cliffhanger, that it was pure torture having to wait til the next book came out!  Now that I have finished the Lux series, I have started reading The Elements Series by JLA, and am going through the torture of cliffhangers and waiting all over again!

Ria:
Hm I LOVE LOVE LOVE...K.A. Linde's Avoiding Temptation Series but I'm #TeamRamsey and I DESPISE(with the passion and pain of millions of "wronged" girls by "douche bag guys")Jack. This MegaTool is the epitome of douchebaggery like he seriously invented it! I've only read book 1&2 because...yep you guessed it, Lexi "the girl" who is no innocent but GAH I can't! I just CANT take it!  So I hate that I've decided that book 3 may just have to stay on my TBR. Forrrrrrrr ehhhhhh verrrrrrrrrrr :/

Ro:
My Love/Hate relationship is with Jackie Collins!  I have been reading her books for years.  They never grow old and they never disappoint!!!  The thing I hate, is that I haven't gotten an approval to review for her...Talk about being let down, when you've been a number one fan for years!!! :(

Mikki:
I would have to say that I hate any author who leaves me with a book hangover. It's hard to come back to reality after reading an unforgettable book!! My biggest book hangover lasted 2 freakin' weeks!!!! But, I love them to pieces for making me feel all kinds of emotions.

3. What book have you devoured over and over again with no shame?

Lindy:
I do not like to reread books.  Once I read a book, and already know what is going to happen, I'd rather spend my time reading a new book.  However, I've been thinking of rereading, The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay, because I desperately love that book so much!  Other books that I love include any book from my auto-buy list: Elizabeth Reyes, Nyrae Dawn, Abbi Glines, Colleen Hoover, Kim Karr, Katy Evans, Penelope Douglas, Renee Calino, Heather Lyons, Victoria Scott, Jennifer Armentrout (J. Lynn), Katie McGarry, Wendy Higgins, Jay Crownover, Kristen Ashley, Emma Chase, Cora Carmack, Miranda Keneally, Jennifer Probst, Tammara Webber, Jamie McGuire, Joanna Wilde, Alice Clayton, Lauren Oliver, and Jessica Sorenson!

Ria:
K, so...I do not re-read books over and over and over again there are a few I've read more than once cause I loved them...but I do shamelessly read all of the time(brushing my teeth, dinner, driving, copy machine @work, during hide & seek) OH.WAIT I got one! Maybe...A Giraffe and A Half to my little? I love reading that to him over and over and over again ;)

Ro:
I would have to say that the books that I have devoured over and over again would have to be The Moreno Brother's Series, by Eli Reyes!!!  Can never get too much of those hunky Men!  Hot, Hot, Hot!!!

Mikki:
I can't only pick one!!! My choices would be series. The Line of Duty Series by Tessa Bailey, the 5th Street Series by Elizabeth Reyes, the Real Series by Katy Evans and the Fall Away Series by Penelope Douglas. I'm afraid to actually tell you how many times I have read each and everyone of these books. It's scary!!!!!

4. Which book have you regretted not reading due to laziness?

Lindy:
Personal Target by Kay Thomas!  I started the book, but was completely lost, and realized that there was a book that came before it in the series.  However, I just don't have the time to tackle book one right now :(

Ria:
Every single book thats over 800 pages...I'm on book 3 of the GoT series and I need to finish those bad boys asap!! If I pick up a book thats 750 and up # of pages I'm like...oh boy I immediately regret this decision...Then I truck on through and get over it but man it daunting ;)

Ro:
I would have to say that I absolutely regret not getting to  Diana Gabaldon's, Outlander Series.  I have been wanting to get to it, but each book in the series is so thick, that I just can't get started with all my obligations!!!  But I will soon.

Mikki:
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. I read Hunger Games and I loved it!!! I watched the movie and decided to read Catching Fire after. I started reading it, but then life got busy and I ended up watching the movie instead of reading the book. After I watched Catching Fire, I wanted to continue reading it, but I could not get into it. Always read the book before watching the movie ..... Lesson learned!

5. What book do you talk about in order to sound like an intellectual reader?

Lindy:
I feel most intellectual when I'm speaking about my favorite reads in the multi-cultural literature genre.  My favorites include: Amy Tan, Lisa See, Laura Esquival, and Isabel Allende :)

Ria:
I got nothin.

Ro:
The book I talk about in order to sound intellectual is Mark Nepo's, The book of Awakening:  Having the life you want by being present.  Mr. Nepo is phenomenal, and enlightening.  Every word touches my heart, and I can't say enough about any of his work! I was lucky enough to meet him this year, when I needed spiritual healing the most.

Mikki:
Pffft! My kindle is full of smut and romance. I tell them I read the newspaper ... lol!!! Does that count? :P

6. What attributes do you find attractive in male or female characters?

Lindy:
What a fun question!!!!  My favorite attributes in females include having self-confidence, not letting people walk all over her, sassiness, yet at the same time, sweet, caring, and compassionate.  I like when a female can be funny, and keep her male counterpart/love interest on his toes!  That's always fun to watch!

For men, I love a man that is brave, courageous, strong, treats his woman with tenderness at times, and like she is the most valuable treasure in his world.  I love the sexy, flirty, assertive, self-confident kind of man that knows what he wants, and goes after it!  I love a dirty talkin' bad boy, as well as a gallant, protective, and heroic hottie!!!

Ria:
Easy peasy!! <-see not intellectual...
Ladies-KickA$$!!! physical, mental, or in your face world...I'll take it anyway I can get it. If my girl kicks arse then I'm all about it! I never get enough of it!
Guys-Aces in their places...I'm not too picky I like the bad boys, the underdogs, and the sweet caring I'll always be there to catch you...I just roll with it when it comes to the guys. I guess I'll take them anyway I can get them.Period. ;)

Ro:
I look forward to characters that come alive on the pages.  They need to be real, touch my heart, and make me feel things.  If the author can bring it all across for me, I'm in 100%.

Mikki:

Male:
Alpha Male
Dirty Talker
Panty melter
Oh wait .... What was the question again? lol!!!

I love a leading male character that leaves me in a state of mush by the way he takes care and respects his woman. A man who is not afraid to show love. He needs to be honest, with a fantastic sense of humour, confident with a dash of cockyness. I also love a hero that has a strong connection with his family and friends.

Female:
I love a kick a** heroine that knows exactly what she wants. She has to be confident, strong and easy to relate to. I have found a few leading ladies who I would totally be friends with and those are the ones I cheer for!

7. What book would you most like to receive as a gift?

Lindy:
Oh my gosh!!!  That is the hardest question ever!!!  I'd have to say anything and everything new coming out from Elizabeth Reyes, Jennifer Armentrout, Katy Evans, Victoria Scott and Colleen Hoover!  I know, I picked too many, but my list is a mile long, so I cut a lot out!!!

Ria:
I would LOVE to receive the never before released...Ive come to my censes So I've decided to Re-Write Mockingjay(especially the ending) by S. Collins. Lol I'm holding my breath ;)

Ro:
The book I would like to receive the most would be a signed copy of Anne Rice's book, (series) The Witching Hour.  Ms. Rice made me feel so many things when I read this book.  She is on the top of my list!!!

Mikki:
Easy answer! The 5th Street Series by Elizabeth Reyes. This series just got a cover makeover and HOT DAMN! Those are some blazing hot covers! I own the paperbacks with the original covers, but I need these new ones on my top shelf ASAP! I added them on my birthday wishlist :)

  1. Lovely post; I think this Seven Deadly Sins tag is an intriguing idea :)
Lots of interesting answers all around. I have to say that I probably have thousands of freebie kindle books---my parents and I share a kindle account and my mom grabs freebies daily. It's an addiction, but I don't intend to break her of ...

  3. Hahaha, Mikki! You are hilarous, my friend! I absolutely loved reading all your responses, but I must admit that I loved reading Ria's and Mikki's the most. Having said that, I agree with Lindy and Ro on most points and you ladies have done such a great job with this post. I can see y'all took a lot of effort and it has turned out to be simply super! Much love to you all, and thank you so much for doing this. ♥
