The past will always find you.

Jos Archer was the girl with the perfect life; until the night it all came crashing down around her. Now, nine months later, she still hasn't begun to pick up the pieces. Even transferring to a new college and living under the watchful eye of her older sister, Renee, isn't enough to help her feel normal again.

And then she meets Dusty Sharp. For reasons Jos can't begin to fathom, the newly reformed campus bad boy seems determined to draw her out of her shell. And if she's not careful, his knowing green eyes and wicked smile will make her feel things she's no longer sure she deserves.

But even as Dusty coaxes Jos to open up about the past, he's hiding secrets of his own. Secrets about the night her old life fell apart. When the truth is finally revealed, will it bring them closer together;or tear them apart for good?

The Way I See It

Okay WOW!! This one was quite the emotional ride! Ms Cameron KILLED IT! I thought I loved My Favorite Mistake and it would be tough to beat but NOPE. My Sweetest Escape was just as alluring and captivating as I've come to expect from Cameron! I was beyond thrilled to see all of my favorite characters from the first book all thriving and living well. Jos which is short for Joscelyn, that is the name of my un-conceived daughter btw. Anyway, as I was saying Jos goes to live with her sister Renee I was curious about the family dynamic. NAILED IT! All of the interactions between everyone in the household were honest and felt very real. It reminded me of my friends everyone has there roll and together we make an awesome force to be reckoned with. I could not put this down and I devoured it in one sitting. There wasn't a single moment where I didn't feel a desperate need to know what was going to happen next. Let me tell you things don't get hot and heavy till nearly the end but Dusty and Jos' feelings for each other are palpable.

M-usic, has become her only reprieve from the pain that haunts her daily.
Y-oungest, Jos goes to live with her sister and feels surrounded by mothers and fathers.

S-urly, Renee cannot understand what happened to the girl she grew up with so perfect and sure of herself.
W-ithdrawn, Dusty tries to reach Jos but she has pulled away from everyone.
E-ngulfed, surrounded by new people in a whirlwind of change Jos will embrace the new challenge but remain guarded.
E-scape, Jos keeps a happy secret to herself she is afraid to open up for fear of not being accepted.
T-emptation, Dusty is attracted to Jos but he cannot allow himself to go there.
E-vade, Jos knows she has feelings for Dusty but her past is keeping her from embracing that happiness.
S-ecrets, both Jos and Dusty have a heavy heart, with dark pasts it continues to haunt them.
T-orn, between what is "right" and what his heart tells him Dusty cannot seem to get a moments rest.

E-nglish, a class she was sure she would hate, Jos will shine as soon as she lets go.
S-urprise, Jos' friend Hannah will be the one to save her from herself. More than once, she has integrated herself and become essential to Jos.
C-harm, Napoleon(cutest kitten ever) will become Dusty's greatest weapon.
A-ccept, the truth is out it is more haunting than anyone could have imagined. Two souls were destined to collide.
P-arty, the time has come for pasts and presents to meet. Love is the greatest gift of all and all we can do is embrace it and live it.
E-scape, the nightmares of the past have morphed into an acceptance of what life can be. No one knows the future but capturing the present builds the moments that will make it happier.

OKAY is it asking to much to want more? Maybe, call me selfish or whatevs but I'm not ready. This was another broken boy meets broken girl but just like chocolate and ice cream...I love it every time! What can I say I a sucker for fun love. Cameron keeps the steam toned down but the tension is heavy. Over all I enjoyed this story a great deal. I'm looking forward to more. I've got the fever baby and the only cure is more Chelsea M. Cameron books. ;)
