Summary
When journalist Iris Ellis visits a sleepy seaside town to interview recluse screenwriter Paul Archer, he offers her insights into never acted upon fantasies of dominance and submission. Too curious to deny herself a taste of them, Iris gives herself up to Paul's gentle guidance, but when she realizes that a taste can never be enough, she must find the courage to ask for what she needs or risk losing it all.

The way I see it

WARNING… this is intended for ADULTS! Mature…Adults, I have to be honest with y’all, I’m not very experienced when it comes to erotic novellas. This quick read was very well written. There was a lot of imagery… *hey hey, head-out-of-the-gutter* lol but ya “that” was there too A.LOT. It’s no secret though, this is EROTICA. ;) Driftwood Deeds was a daring adventure. Iris, a young journalist meets a mysterious screenwriter. Cue the experienced mature enigma that is “Paul Archer.” Together these two discover unexpected parts of each other and how there are no limits when two lovers sync.

There is an introduction to BDSM<-Hope thats right?.. Man! No worries though, it wasn’t anything awful and we receive a lot of insight. At first I was hesitant but the connection these two have is unmistakable. The tender adoration combined with the uninhibited *ahem ahem* s-e-x is beyond words. I felt like Paul knew how to please Iris because she called out to him. Her body was singing and Paul truly heard every lyric. Ms. Blake’s writing pulled me into the story and I was transformed right along with Iris.

Typically I’m like, WAIT! I don’t know anything about these two?.. So usually I want more. With Driftwood Deeds I understood what Paul and Iris felt because the emotion jumped off the pages. There were moments of doubt but through verbal and physical communication Paul puts everyone at ease. I was curious to see how this would end because its no secret that this is a novella. WOW, I loved it! The ending had the perfect blend of reality and HEA. S-e-x is a heavy veil but Iris knows what she wants and is deserving of it. Paul is an honest man. I really felt the end was perfect for these two and I believe they are where they're supposed to be.

My Rating

4.0 Train, B&B, Seaside, DriftWood, SeaGlass, Recorder, Wine, BreadCrumbs, Pancakes, Shower, Note, Promise, Reality, Tender Kiss Filled Stars. For a short, steamy with some BDSM pick up this little gem!

About The Author

I was born in 1985 into a family of artists, hippies and individualists in Cologne/Germany, creativity was fostered from an early age. Where my family focussed mainly on visual art (painters, sculptors, my mother was a brilliant puppet player!), I soon started to discover my love for the written word and have been writing and reading ever since. Getting side-tracked by school and getting a serious and reputable degree (an MA in Applied Linguistics/Specialized Translating), I only truly and honestly allowed myself to give writing a real shot in my mid-twenties. I grew up not only bi-lingual and interested in the creative professions, I also learned how dangerous it can be to place one’s trust on talent alone. Now that I have a somewhat stable job, I have been writing in every free minute, trying to put together a good body of work.
