Synopsis:

When Grace Sheridan returns to Los Angeles to become a working actress, it’s a second shot at a life-long dream. With some help from her best-friend agent, will that dream become a reality—or at thirty-three, has Grace missed her chance at the big time? And when an unexpected sizzling romance with Jack Hamilton, the entertainment industry's newest “it” boy, threatens to shine an uncomfortable spotlight on her life, how will that affect her career…and his?

Funny, borderline neurotic Grace is perfect in her imperfections, and the sexual chemistry between her and charming yet blissfully unaware Jack is off the charts. With laugh-out-loud dialogue and a super-steamy romance that will get your heart racing, sneaking around in L.A. and dodging the paparazzi has never been so fun.

My Review:

The Unidentified Redhead by Alice Clayton was hilarious, sexy and romantic. I have heard many great things about this series and I'm extremely happy I got the chance to read it after having it for such a long time on my TBR list.

In TUR we follow Grace who is a thirty-three-year-old aspiring actress. After spending eighteen months in Los Angeles on her first attempt at stardom, she goes back home with shattered dreams. Ten years pass, she decides to give another shot at this dream of hers. She's in it to win it! The extra weight is off, her confidence is back, and she's ready to take Hollywood by storm. Her best friend Holly knows all about the business. When Holly throws a party to celebrate the launch of her new management company an unexpected guest sweeps Grace off her feet. Twenty-four years old, Super-Sexy Jack Hamilton is the next big thing in Hollywood. When Grace and Jack meet they connect immediately. Every time they see each other they fall even more for one another. In just a few weeks he turns her world upside down and makes her feel things she hasn't felt in years. Like in any relationship they get a few bumps down the road. When a chance to accomplish her biggest dream comes along, she's left with mixed emotions.

OMG! Where do I start with this book?!?! TUR is the kind of book that you read with a permanent smile on your lips. The banter between Grace and Jack is outstanding, their chemistry will have your panties melting and Grace's inner monologue will have you LOL more than once. Not only these two are hot together, they are adorable too! While reading this book I never felt like there was an age difference between them. Jack is mature, sweet, understanding and his love from Grace is beautiful. Oh, I forgot to mention ...he's a real dirty talker. Prepare your fan, this book is steamy! ;) Grace had a few fears about their relationship, but with the awesome communication that they have they make their relationship work. This is a feel good book, let me explain... Does it ever happen to you that you read a book that leaves you so happy that you want to hug it? Well, that's what I wanted to do after I finished TUR. I loved this story! It was nice to see their relationship grow. I became a fan of Alice Clayton when I read Wallbanger. I actually got cramps from laughing so much ... lol! I love her writing style and her characters are so easy to relate to. My bookworm heart is happy, happy, happy! I can't wait to read the rest of this series and follow these two nuts ... lol!!!

My Rating:

I give, The Unidentified Redhead, by Alice Clayton 5 funny, amazing, witty, romantic, flirtatious stars! Make your heart happy, add this book to your TBR list ... You won't be disappointed ;)

About the Author

Alice Clayton is a new novelist with an unholy love for her Kitchenaid mixer. Making her home in St Louis, she enjoys gardening but not weeding, baking but not cleaning up afterwards, and is trying desperately to get her long time boyfriend to make her an honest woman. Hi sweetie!!

After working for years in the cosmetics industry as a makeup artist, esthetician, and national educator for a major cosmetics company, Alice picked up a pen (read laptop) for the first time at 33 to begin a new career, writer. Having never written a thing before, she found writing was the creative outlet she had been missing since walking away from the theater 10 years ago. Combining her love of storytelling with a sense of silly, she was shocked and awed to be nominated for a Goodreads Author award in 2010 for her debut novels, The Redhead Series.
Alice has penned two novels, The Unidentified Redhead and The Redhead Revealed, and thinks you should purchase them immediately. She’s not kidding, not even a little bit. Everyone needs some comedic erotica in their lives. She is hard at work on the third book in The Redhead Series which will be out Spring of 2013 which will continue the saucy and sexual escapades of everyone’s favorite couple, Jack and Grace. She has another new release coming up soon in November of 2012, all new characters, all new story, but same brand of smutty hilarity.
Additionally, Alice loves spending time with her besties on notyourmotherspodcast.com, make sure you check them out on iTunes. 3 women rushing towards their forties still acting like teenagers. A saucy little mix of sex, love, relationships, pop cultural, celebrity gossip and All Things Jake Ryan.
Alice enjoys pickles, Bloody Mary’s, 8 hours of sleep, and a good pounding.
Finally Alice would also like all her readers and listeners to help her convince her long time boyfriend that the only other thing that would make her truly happy is finally bringing home a Bernese Mountain Dog. She is totally serious. And done talking about herself in the third person…
