The Weekday Brides Series:

My Take on this Series:

Single by Saturday, by Catherine Bybee was a wonderful, light, fast-paced, feel good novel.  The story opens at the one year anniversary party of Michael and Karen Wolfe. Michael is a famous actor, and the whose who of Hollywood is attending their big celebration.  Michael is very tender and attentive to his arranged marriage and wife, Karen.  Together their relationship works.  Michael is gay, though a handful of people know.  His brother, Zach, walks into the party to put his brother on blast for not introducing the family to his wife, but holds out when he see's it isn't the right time.

Within a couple of weeks the arranged marriage will be over, and Karen will be coming in to some big money.  Karen (Jones) works for an agency that helps cover up in these kind of situations, and Karen has to uphold the contract of secrecy at all costs.  Only problem is that she and Zach have an immediate attraction to one another, and their blindsided by the feelings.  Michael agrees to go home for a visit and introduce the family to his wife, Karen.  There is all kinds of chaos that ensues during this visit, and a lot of feelings come to the surface.  Karen has to keep the truth about her husband's sexuality and the arrangement they have from his family.

Karen is full of angst over her loyalty to her now best friend, and fake husband, Michael, and the love she realizes she feels for his brother, Zach.  She has to lie to his family and the man she loves, Zach, for the sake of her husband.  Zach is completely off kilter, not realizing what the relationship is really about between his brother Michael and his wife. He is falling fast for Karen too, and their chemistry is combustible.  Paparazzi cannot get wind of the marriage in name only or Michael's career will be over.

This book was full of surprises, family, love, angst, loyalty, companionship, and dedication between Michael and Karen.  They were so believable that the reader starts to believe they are a couple.  I loved the storyline, the characters, and their growth.  I loved the way that both brother's were so sexy, sweet, lovable, and attentive.  Ms. Bybee caught my attention from the beginning of the story and I loved every minute of it straight through.  I give, Single by Saturday, by Catherine Bybee, 4 Fun, Exciting, Chaotic, Frenzied, Love Filled Stars!!!

Excerpt:

This man was gorgeous, and if she were one to believe in instant attraction, her body responded to him with a fierceness she didn’t think possible. Maybe this was what the women gazing at Michael experienced that she did not. This wild thrill of discovery that led to possibilities only the big screen could fulfill.

Instead of letting her imagination get the best of her, Karen flattened a hand over her stomach and attempted to act unaffected. “Do I know you?”

The sex personified blue-eyed man stepped toward her. It took effort for her to hold her ground.

Sensing her unease, he held still, looked around the both of them as if noticing the caterers running about and guests arriving behind him, and said simply, “Zach Gardner.”

The smile on her face stayed. The name tickled at the edges of her consciousness. Memories flashed behind the veil of her mind until she narrowed her focus. “Michael’s brother?” she whispered.

Zach gave a small nod and swept his eyes down her frame. When his eyes met hers again, he masked whatever he’d been thinking, then he smiled and said, “And you’re the wife none of us have met.”

Not a lot shook Karen. She’d managed the role of Michael’s wife under the ever-present scrutiny of paparazzi, producers, actors, and fans . . . but the man standing in front of her did what no one else could. He made her question her decision to marry.
