Wait For You Series:

My Review on Wait For You HERE
My Review on Trust In Me HERE

My Thoughts:

I LOVE anything and everything written by Jennifer Armentrout (J. Lynn).  I don't care if it's paranormal or Contemporary, Adult, New Adult, or Young Adult!  Everything that she write's is AMAZING!  That being said, Ms. Armentrout is in my top 10 Favorite Author's list/Autobuy Author's list!  The Wait for You Series is such an enjoyable Series!  After reading, Wait For You, Cam, and Avery's story, I really got attached to the secondary characters, and I love when a series write's companion novel's about the various characters introduced in the first story, and subsequent novels.

Be With Me is the story of Teresa (Jase calls her Tess), Cam's younger sister, and Jase, Cam's best friend.  Teresa has had a crush on Jase for many years, but he has always looked at her as just his best friend's kid sister.  When Teresa turned 16, he started becoming attracted to her, but knew that he was too old for her, and that he would be breaking the friendship code.  In Teresa's senior year of high school, she ends up sharing a passionate and unforgettable kiss when her brother and Jase come to visit on the holidays.  From that point on, Teresa becomes even more enamored with Jase, but notices that he is avoiding her.  So she decide's to put him out of her mind, and move on with her life.  Teresa is a gifted and talented dancer who has been accepted in to a prestigious dance school for college.  However, after her ACL is torn, she is forced to change her plans.  She will be attending college as a freshman with her brother Cam, and his best friend Jase, until her injury heals, and she can transfer to the dance academy.  Teresa plans on avoiding Jase.  However, these two ending up in the same music appreciation class, and are thrown together consistently.  It was obvious from the start that Jase had feelings for Teresa, was attracted to her, and really respected her.  He constantly fought his feelings for her, and Teresa didn't have eyes for anyone other that Jase.

Ms. Armentrout really developed a friendship of depth and substance between Teresa and Jase.  These two shared their dreams, thoughts, secrets, and fears with one another.  They leaned on each other for support, and had a special and unique relationship with each other that they didn't share with anyone else.  Their emotional attachment was so real and meaningful, that it made me anticipate the physical aspect of their relationship even more.  When things heated up with these two, it was beautiful, believable, and felt completely right.  I felt like I got to know who Teresa and Jase were on a much deeper level.  I learned the most about Jase, including why he was adamant about not being in a relationship.  Ms. Armentrout also addresses a very important issue in this story; physical abuse.  As Teresa grows closer to her roommate, Debbie, she notices the signs of abuse, and wants to help her friend.  I'm glad that Ms. Armentrout brought abuse to the forefront of this story.  She did a great job of showing the signs, and dangers of abuse.  As well as the fact that often times people may notice what's going on, but chose to ignore it.  Be With Me was a great addition to the Wait For You Series.  I loved the fact that we got a whole lot of Cam and Avery, and a little bit of Jacob, and Brittany.  We also got to meet Jase's parents and little brother Jack.  Jack was adorable, and stole the show in every scene that he was in.  I loved this little guy, and it was so heartwarming seeing how close Jase and Jack were, as well as how much Jack looked up to his big brother.  There were a lot of moments in the story were I felt deep emotion, and heartbreak.  As well as surprise, excitement, and hope for Teresa and Jase.

My Rating:

I give, Be With Me, by Jennifer Armentrout 4.5 Outstanding, Suspenseful, Passionate & Painful Stars!  This story will get under your skin.  You will love Teresa and Jase, and see that they are perfect for each other.  You will feel excitement, anticipation, anger, pain, happiness, and hope as you become a part of these character's journey.  You will care about them, relate to them, and want the best for them!  Read the Wait For You Series if you are looking for a great New Adult, Contemporary Series that will pull on your heartstrings and make you experience a wide range of emotion.

My Favorite Quotes:

" 'Do you know how beautiful you are?  How it affects me?'  A pleasant haze invaded my system as my body and heart responded to his words.  He slowly shook his head.  'I don't think you really understand, because if you did, I don't think you could just stand there.  God, Tess, there isn't a part of you that's not perfect in my eyes.' "  (eARC, Loc. 4607)

~Jace

"There was a seduction in the act of love, a quality missing when the heart wasn't involved.  Every shift of his hips, every kiss he bestowed, and every brush of his hands and fingers meant something infinite."  (eARC, Loc. 5832)

~Teresa

"And Jase, well, he simply didn't just kiss.  He tasted.  He devoured.  He promised pleasure with his lips and teased of more to come with his tongue.  The boy could offer a class on kissing.  He made it an art form when he drew a soft moan from the depths of my core."  (eARC, Loc. 6052)

Be With Me sounds like an awesome read and I like how the characters had an early attraction then went separate ways for a while. Awesome review girl!

  4. I love the witty banter that J.Lynn infuses in her characters. Avery is a fire cracker with a tainted past and Cam is the reformed player. As their mutual attraction becomes known Avery has to come to terms with her past and what kind of future she wants. Great love scenes as well, but not too over done.
