Surrender is Freedom

Hot. Hot. Hot. Uncivilized was an off the charts sexy read and so, so, so much more. This is my first book by Sawyer Bennett and I loved it! Definitely for 18+ as it contains detailed sexual scenes. Bennett’s writing style is truly addictive I could not and would not put this down. The steam factor was enticing and extremely well written. Not just anyone can write a steamy scene but it’s clear Bennett sure can. I’m still fanning myself! After reading the blurb I was beyond intrigued I could just kick myself for not reading this sooner. Bravo all around the raw energy and chemistry between Moira and Zach will stay with me for a very long time. This is a standalone and the ending was perfect. This was a wonderful read that I recommend to anyone over 18.

U-nderstanding, Zach has been with his tribe for many years now an accomplished and revered warrior there is nothing more he could want.
N-egotiations, unbeknownst to Zach his adoptive father has agreed to let Zach go. There is family in the States that wishes his safe and prompt return.
C-rushing, leaving the Amazon is the last thing Zach wants to do. He has found a new family that he loves fiercely he blames Moira and Randall for seeking him out and uprooting his wonderful new existence.
I-ntelligent, Moira has spent her life in Anthropology and has been presented with a wonderful opportunity to further her carrier. Knowing what a terrible adjustment everything must be for Zach she will treat him with great care.
V-acant, though Zach recalls many details from his childhood everything in this new place seems empty. In his heart and his mind there is only one place he belongs regardless of the fierce attraction he feels towards Moira.
I-deals, Moira knows she should not let Zach affect her body and mind the way he does but she cannot help the pull towards his raw magnetism.
L-ost, trying in vain to deny what Zach makes Moira feel she will succumb to his will but she won’t lose sight of who she is to the core. Strong and assertive these two commence a powerful and passionate romance.
I-nnocent, finally meeting the man Zach has come to detest will shatter his resolve. Zach remembers how deeply attached to his godfather he was as a child. After several conversations the anger leaves but now he feels as though he doesn’t have a true home.
Z-ach, leaving Moira’s side isn’t something he can imagine ever doing. Sacrificing his pride Zach will strive to contribute in some way and remain by his accomplished and independent woman.
E-cho, devastated by surprising news Zach’s life crumbles and the guilt of leaving those that need him most is all encompassing. Life has taught Zach about loss and despair but nothing could have prepared him for the moment when he realizes where he belongs.
D-esign, so many things have taken place that were unlikely coincidences or miracles but through pain and learning Moira and Zach are each where they belong.

The ending was a whirlwind! Seriously I had no idea it just sucker punches the reader. I loved it through and through and I think there was a wonderful sense of closure. I wasn’t sure how Bennett would pull it off leaving my heart unscathed but she did a wonderful job! Uncivilized was so much more than rolling around in the sheets. This was a story of being truly lost in a world full of so many differences and similarities, it’s absolutely shocking. Self discovery and finding a true path were also wonderful themes. Zach was not only breathtaking but incredibly wise and wild at the same time. Moira and Zach’s relationship was such a delight to see because they both had to learn about each other from their basic core. Once you strip away all of the fluff the simplicities of human nature are the most beautiful. Moira and Zach discoveries were magical because the only magic that existed is what these two created. Zach’s godfather Randall was a wonderful addition and I enjoyed his character along with Zach’s adoptive father thoroughly. Like I mentioned before un-put-a-down-able! Seriously sooooooo good!!!
