GR's Summary:

In the irresistibly sexy series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout, two free spirits find their lives changed by a one-night stand…

Some things you just believe in, even if you've never experienced them. For Stephanie, that list includes love. It's out there. Somewhere. Eventually. Meanwhile she's got her job at the mixed martial arts training center and hot flings with gorgeous, temporary guys like Nick. Then a secret brings them closer, opening Steph's eyes to a future she never knew she wanted—until tragedy rips it away.

Nick's self-assured surface shields a past no one needs to know about. His mind-blowing connection with Steph changes all that. As fast as he's knocking down the walls that have kept him commitment-free, she's building them up again, determined to keep the hurt—and Nick—out. But he can't walk away. Not when she's the only one who's ever made him wish for forever...

My Thoughts:
Forever With You continues the Wait For You Series, but it can definitely be read as a standalone novel.  The books in this series are companion novels, meaning they involve many of the same characters, but give the reader a whole new storyline.  What can I say?  Ms. Armentrout's books are my favorite.  She never fails to draw me in, and completely hook me to her stories.  My favorite aspect of all of her books, is how she miraculously brings her characters to life, and makes me feel so deeply for these characters and whatever they are growing through.

Stephanie and Nick's story shocked me.  For one, I came in to the story not liking Stephanie.  I'd met her in previous installments, and the fact that she had hooked up with both Cam and Jase (their was no cheating) bothered me.  I had an image in my mind of her being a party girl, who hooked up with numerous guys. I also didn't know much about Nick, aside from the fact that he was a bartender at Mona's, didn't do relationships, and was a good friend to Roxy.

I loved how Ms. Armentrout gave these two characters so much depth.  She peeled back the layers of who they were, and they became real.  I sympathized, and empathized with them as I learned about losses, struggles, and tragedies that had befallen them.  My heart literally ached as they revealed their souls to one another, and opened themselves up.

Nick and Stephanie end up having a wild, carnal, frenzy-filled one night stand.  Nick thinks that Stephanie is aware of his "rules."  When Stephanie returns to Mona's to hang out with Roxy, and hopefully see Nick, he treats her horribly.  Stephanie is new in town, and just wants to make friends.  However, Nick acts like she is not welcomed at Mona's, and he doesn't want to see her again.  He's use to his one night stands conveniently disappearing.

Needless to say, Stephanie puts Nick in his place, and I was cheering her on!  She wasn't going to let anyone treat her disrespectfully!  Nick becomes both surprised and turned on by Stephanie's behavior.  He's never had a woman stand up to him.  This spurs Nick on to apologize profusely, and initiate a platonic friendship with a woman for the first time.  As Nick and Stephanie become closer, things get complicated.  They share a scorching hot mutual attraction, and life delivers the unexpected.  As these two fall in love, their newfound relationship is put to the ultimate test.

My emotions were all over the place with this story.  I felt happiness for Nick and Stephanie, and then heartbreak and devastation.  Ms. Armentrout's stories always turn me in to a leaky faucet of tears, and intense feelings.  Forever With You, was a gorgeous story.  It was realistic.  It was heart breaking.  It was inspiring, and it was relevant to what challenges, tragedies, and joys, real couples encounter in their lives.

My Rating:

I give, Forever With You, by Jennifer L. Armentrout, 5 New Love, Heart Break, Butterflies in the Stomach, Healing, and Soulmate Filled Stars!
