Review:

Where There's a Will, by Katherine Garbera, and Eve Gaddy, was a fun, sweet, romantic novella. This was my first time reading a book by these authors. I am very impressed by the number of books that they have written, and I'm happy that I discovered them through my NetGalley search.

This is a very short read. I read it in about an hour and I had a huge smile on my face by the end of it! If a book is short, the most important thing to me is the chemistry between the characters. It does not matter if the book I read has 50 pages or 500, if I can't connect to the main characters there is a big chance I won't enjoy my reading journey. These authors did a great job with this novella. Addison and Ryder are two lovable characters that caught my attention from the very beginning. Their chemistry is hot and their romantic journey was believable.

Where There's a Will introduces us to the Whiskey River Series. If I go by the information that we got in this novella, this series will have four other books. The authors wrote a novella about Addison Wells and Ryder Ford, but they also introduced us to the cast of characters that will be key players for the rest of this series.  Addison feels an attraction to her boss since the moment that they first meet. Her ''no office romance'' rule is in full effect until one stormy night gets them both locked up in a closet. Those few hours spent together makes them reveal the feelings they have towards each other. Will Addison's plan to move away to start her new career mix up Ryder's plans to win her heart?

Like I mentioned before, my connection with Addison and Ryder was instant. I really liked them both and how honest they were about their feelings. I loved Ryder's determination to make Addison stay. I don't usually like stories with insta-love, but I really liked this one. If you are a fan of office romance and are looking for a really quick read, this novella will deliver! I won't get into details about what is written in the will, but what I will tell you is that after Ryder read the will I was left wanting more!!!

Rating:

I give Where There's a Will, by Katherine Garbera, and Eve Gaddy, 3.5 sweet, romantic, enjoyable stars!

  1. I sometimes struggle with Novellas to connect with the characters. Sounds like this one works with that. I really like the getting stuck in tornado shelter together. Very interesting.
