Summary
Following on the heels of Illusion, indie sensation and New York Times bestselling author J.S. Cooper brings us the second novel in the Swept Away series, a trilogy of dark and sexy romances about a woman marooned on a desert island with a sexy stranger—but is he friend or foe?

When Bianca and Jakob awake on a sandy shore in the middle of nowhere, their first thoughts are of survival. But as they explore their surroundings and try to discover who stranded them on the island, they can’t deny the electricity surging between them. Soon it’s more than just a campfire keeping them warm…

But just as Bianca is starting to trust Jakob, she uncovers a clue to their abduction—and he may know more than he’s letting on. Was Jakob just as surprised as she to find himself alone with her…or could the man she’s fallen for be her captor?

Watch Out Who You Fall For is RIGHT!

Ahem give me a sec…Okay there we go, sorry I had to go find my jaw. It fell off my face and rolled under the table but it’s all good I’ve found and re-attached. Talk about what the what! Look y’all I’m here to warn you nothing and I mean NOTHING is as it seems. I’m not going to give away any spoilers but it’s mostly because even after reading(inhaling) the book I actually don’t know what in the what is going on. What in the actual *insert expletive* Okay rant over BRAVO Cooper!! Way to make it to my top fav authors in the most wicked and painful way. I am DYING right now. My insides are a mess!! I’m in a glass cage of emotion, and those are rough let me tell ya. Aw poo I said rant over!! Okay let me start again, Coop dawg! Way to kill it lady! This was one heck of an up and down and all around rollercoaster read! I could not get enough. Disillusioned picks up right where the last left of… yea it was super cliffy so I really enjoyed that the beginning had a nice little showdown. The best part is there was no lull or sophomore slump. Some of the things that happened I had figured out but a few were surprising. I recommend this series and I can’t wait to read what is next.

D-
eceived, Bianca was warned but nothing could have prepared her for the shock of knowing the extent of Jakob’s betrayal.
I-
ncessant, being back home feels different not willing to give up Bianca will seek out her past and make another mistake.
S-
ullied, the relationship Bianca and Jakob have developed teeters on the edge. There is so much doubt and mistrust on all sides, it’s impossible not to let those feelings affect their current situation.
I-
nterests, the truth has been mixed with so many lies that everything is tarnished. Bianca just wants answers but all she finds is a deeper web at every turn.
L-
iars, so lost and so confused Bianca wants so badly to be able to confide in someone but everything and everyone feels off. Brushing events off as misguided paranoia might not be the best decision Bianca has made.
L-
udicrous, throughout the book there has been a consistent theme…Trust no one. Bianca has come to terms with that but she cannot accept that her parents weren’t the people she thought  they were.
U-
lterior, up to this point everything Bianca has looked into and wanted was to find justice for the things that happened to her parents.
S-
ecrets, aligning with Jakob was not part of the original plan for Bianca but something about him pulls at her soul. Bianca knows there is more than what he has told her but she chooses to trust him more than anyone else.
I-
nnocence, one last attempt from someone she trusts to botch plans that have been set in motion will only capsize the boat of her existence.
O-
ne, of everyone in her life Bianca would have never expected this betrayal but its true what they say about friends and enemy’s it’s a shame Bianca does not listen to her gut more often.
N-
emesis, there is no love lost between Jakob and David but something feels off there are too many holes in the way they lead their lives. All Bianca wants is the truth yet every turn is full of dark revelations that may or may not be true.
E-
stranged, a new player in hiding has come out ready to strike. Bianca is the one who will suffer the most. Realizing the insurmountable deceit becomes too much and pushes her to the breaking point.
D-
eath, only once before has Bianca been this shocked…Seeing the face before makes everything spin and the world goes dark.

WHAT?!!! Cliffhanger THAT’S WHAT!!! Now you know why I had to go in search of my jaw earlier. Don’t worry too much though there is a sneak peek of the next installment. WARNING this does not sooth the Cliffhanger it intensifies it!! I loved the first novella in this series where it talked about Bianca and David so much that I’m rushing to get my hands on the novella that takes place after this book. I recommend all fans of this series do the same. I hope that will hold of this huge book hangover. Yikes I can’t wait to find out who did what and what is really going on. I have certain suspicions but I won’t voice them here I’d hate to be right and give away a major spoiler. #whyicantsleepatnight. #CoopersCruel lol I definitely recommend this series Cooper is a wonderful author that sweeps her reader into the pages and never letting go.

  1. Hmm...seems like this is the kinda book where you need the next one standing ready before you read this one. I do like books that can surprise me and it sounds like you were.

  2. Twists on twists. That would definitely keep me reading. It's like that Lost show.
