Synopsis:

For Olivia Bentley, Lucky Harbor is more than the town where she runs her new vintage shop. It's the place where folks are friendly to strangers-and nobody knows her real name. Olivia does a good job of keeping her past buried, not getting too cozy with anyone . . . until she sees a man drowning. Suddenly she's rushing into the surf, getting up close and personal with the hottest guy she's ever laid hands on.

Charter boat captain Cole Donovan has no problem with a gorgeous woman throwing her arms around his neck in an effort to "save" him. In fact, he'd like to spend a lot more time skin-to-skin with Olivia. He's just not expecting that real trouble is about to come her way. Will it bring her deeper into Cole's heart, or will it be the end of Olivia's days in little Lucky Harbor?

Top 5 Couple's Costumes by Jill Shalvis

Nothing shouts “We are a couple!” more than wearing matching Halloween costumes. In He’s So Fine, my heroine Olivia isn’t sure about being in a couple with Cole. She is even more unsure about meeting his family…while wearing a costume. But she decides that if she is going to do it, she might as well go all in. Knowing that Cole is dressing as Captain Jack Sparrow, Olivia surprises him with a very sexy Ariel costume—because sitting down is an overrated skill when you can make a man drool.

In honor of this very sexy pirate and his mermaid I have gathered a list of the top 5 couples costumes.

#1 Mario and Princess Peach

#2 Lady and the Tramp (you can go either as dogs, or as a grand lady and ragged tramp)

#3 Dr. Who and his Tardis

#4 A deer and the famous “John” of your choice (you can say you are either “Dear John” or John Deere)

#5 Bird and a Bee

"You agreed to give me six months," he reminds me.

"I also agreed to give you my virginity," I add.

"But I didn’t take that."

"No, you didn’t," I agree. A fact that I’m painfully aware of.

"Are you still intact?" he asks, his tone raspy and deep. A warm current zips through me, flushing my cheeks and soaking my panties.

"Of c-course." My voice is hoarse and Colton’s dark eyes roaming on mine make it impossible to speak clearly.

I see the vein throb at the base of his throat. "Good girl," he admonishes.

Synopsis:

A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint...

Her mind rejects his world. But her body knows its master. Journalist Caroline Preston arrives at Serve, New York City’s hottest BDSM club, with one goal—to hate it. If her brother wasn’t trying to turn the family’s respectable financial magazine into a publication that features “lifestyle” pieces for the wealthy and adventurous, she wouldn’t even be there, trying to write an article about a world she doesn’t understand. But then she sees him.

Jonah Briggs doesn’t leave his post for just anyone. As the owner of the club, his sole purpose is to ensure that his clientele get everything they need, but when he sees Caroline, his only thought is what he wants—to dominate the sexy little reporter and give the most exquisite pleasure she’s ever experienced.

Caroline has no intention of entering that particular lion’s den—not with her family’s reputation at stake—no matter how dark, sexy, and complex the lion in question may be. But with every encounter, she craves more, and with every slide of his lips, she realizes Jonah might just be the man to break down all her defenses…if she’ll let him.

Review

When I start reading a new Tessa Bailey book I always have the same reactions ...

Reaction #1 ----> I find out that a new Tessa Bailey book is coming out ...

Reaction #2 ----> I meet Tessa's new heroine and she becomes my new fictional best friend ... lol!!

Reaction #3 ----> I meet Tessa's new dirty talker .... Gahhhhhhh!!!!! *Panties melting*

Reaction #4 ----> Tessa's writing style is deliciously hot and unforgettable! A lot of this is going on while I read her books ...

Reaction #5 ----> When I read one of her books, my reading escape always ends like this ...

Tessa Bailey's naughty vault has once again opened. Sweet Pickles!!! What comes out of that naughty vault is always sexy, torrid and memorable!

Owned by Fate, by Tessa Bailey, exceeded of all my expectations! No matter how many times I read her books, I always feel the same emotions every single time! And, I'm not joking around if I tell you that I have read her previous book an embarrassing amount of times. I'm sure the characters are probably whispering '' Her again?!?!'' lol!!! I can't help it!!! I love them to pieces!!!

What do you get when a determined journalist and a sexy dirty talking BDSM club owner meet? An intense and passionate journey where opposites attract, personal boundaries are broken, and sensual cravings are satisfied. When Caroline Preston walks into Serve, the last thing she expected was to meet Jonah Briggs. Every word that comes out of his mouth sets her body on fire and every sensual touch makes her crave more. Will she be able to walk away of club Serve without looking back or will Jonah's promises to fulfill all her fantasies will leave her coming back for more?

It only took me one chapter to fall in love with Caroline and Jonah. I loved how Caroline reacted to her attraction to Jonah. I don't think that it would have been the same story if she did not fight the attraction that was growing between them. Only somebody like Jonah could make her feel all these different kinds of emotions. These two complete each other to perfection! Jonah knew exactly how to get under her skin and make her step out of her comfort zone. Not only did he awaken her body with unforgettable kisses and his electrifying touch, he also found a way to her heart. He's a dirty talker with a tender and sweet side. Just the way I like them! ;) At at one point of the story my heart twisted and I went into *Swoon attack* mode! God!!! This man would do anything for the woman he loves.

I have to admit that I haven't read many BDSM related books. The ones that I did read, I really enjoyed. Tessa Bailey did a fantastic job at making me fall in love with Jonah's world. It was intriguing, sexy and eye-opening. He's the perfect Dom in my eyes! He knew that Caroline was hesitant about crossing that line and exploring his world. He gave her quite the first experience! He made her feel things that she had never felt before and it took only one night in his arms to have her coming back for more. He never took things to the extreme and that's what I loved about him.

Overall, Owned by Fate was everything I wanted it to be and more! The next installment will be Oliver (Caroline's brother) and Eliza's (Caroline's BFF) story. These already have a place in my heart. They had me falling for them in Owned by Fate. I can't freakin' wait to read their story!!! Tessa Bailey's books are the reason I love reading so much! The best way I can explain my love for her books is to compare it to my love for Nutella ... Yup! Let me explain ... If there is one thing that leaves me with a smile on my face and happy every single time it's my slice of bread with Nutella ... lol!! It does not matter what kind of bread I use, the glue to this happy sandwich is Nutella. And, Tessa Bailey is like Nutella. She can change the location and characters in her story, but at the end her incredible talent for making me get lost in the story leaves me happy every single time! So ... yeah ... Two things that make me happy in life ... Nutella & Tessa Bailey! lol!!! I highly recommend Owned by Fate and all of her other books. They are PHENOMENAL!!!

Rating

I give, Owned by Fate, by Tessa Bailey 5 scorching, sensual, naughty, all-consuming, red vines stars!

About the Author

Thank you for your interest in my books! I'm Tessa and I live in the crazy, loud, overcrowded borough of Brooklyn, New York. I love it here. This city is a constant source of inspiration, which is why I've decided to set my most recent books in the Line of Duty Series here.

I moved to New York when I was eighteen, the day after I graduated high school. Threw my suitcase in the back of a Chevrolet Cavalier and drove across the country to find my adventure. I'm still finding it, little by little.

Coldcreek Series on Goodreads

Forget You is the fourth novel in the Coldcreek Companion Series. While this novel can be read as a standalone, you will gain more story wise if you read them each in order of release.

My Take on this Journey

Forget You, by Jennifer Snyder, is the 4th novel in the Coldcreek Companion Series.  Once again, Ms. Snyder weaves her magic, as she pulls on her readers heart strings.  In this 4th segment, Forget You, we get the story of Eva Bennett, a twenty-four year old, head strong, opinionated, quick witted, sarcastic girl.  She cuts through all the crap, knows all the lines before the ladies men can lay them on her, but still yearns to find the right man.  She is the only girl who seems to be single and doesn't want to go stag to anymore parties.

Sawyer Keeton, is one of the cousins of the ever arrogant, Wes, who loves them and leaves them.  Sawyer has been living in hell, since the death of his beloved brother, Ryder. He doesn't connect with anyone, but still goes to the Frat party his cousin invites him to, where he meets the fiery, Eva.

There is a definite attraction between the two of them, though Eva fights it every step of the way.  That is, to Sawyer's face. Though behind the scenes, she is thinking about how easy it would be for Sawyer to melt her panties off.  The second that Eva realizes that Wes, the player, is his cousin, all bets are off. Sawyer needs to win her over.  What starts out as a juvenile date between them, turns into an ever mounting connection that neither will ever forget.

These two characters are made for each other.  The sex appeal that draws them together is undeniable.  The sarcasm oozes from every pore, like the sun melts chocolate.  Each memorizes every little nuance that the other possesses.  Forget You, will envelope you from the first page to the last.  The characters are unforgettable.  I couldn't put this book down.  It shouldn't surprise me, cause no one can write, draw you in to each circumstance, makes the hairs on your arms stand straight up, and make your heart ache like Ms. Snyder can.

My Rating

Forget You, Earns 5  Devastatingly Haunting, Realistic, Sexy, Fiery, Fate Filled Stars!!!

Book Review: Unrequited by Emily Shaffer

Unrequited

ARC for Review

Summary
In the town of Belle Ridge there are doctors, lawyers and teachers... but there is only one vampire. Will Leighton has become an expert in making a life for himself amongst the unsuspecting small-town inhabitants, as the high school history teacher. He has spent hundreds of years crafting an identity and routine that make him feel almost human, but he is always missing that important final element, love.

Ashton Wallace is beautiful, smart, and angry. She was forced into an eternal existence, and now her family has moved her away from everything and everyone she knows. In Belle Ridge she is supposed to finish high school and start her life again, but how do you make plans for the next several centuries?

Will has never met another of his kind, and is immediately intrigued by Ashton. He longs to show her that the perceived vampire lifestyle, so popular in storybooks, is far from reality...but will she let him be a friend and guide in this new existence? Can Ashton accept Will into her life, or will she be led astray by a dark stranger with whom she shares an unknown connection?

Not Just Any Maker Will Do
I can absolutely say my heart is torn in two. Unrequited is right boy oh boy this was a super quick and super interesting read I look forward to seeing where the story will go from here. I’m typically a traditional Vamp fan I gave all of the twilight books 3 stars. I’m used to them being creatures of the night and very sexual beings I guess twilight was the first time I was introduced to a different type of vamp, so I had a hard time with it. Ever since I’ve been more open to different breed of Vampire other than Dracula & Anne Rice V’s. The way Will is described isn’t too crazy…Basically, the V’s you’ll find in Shaffer’s story are humans that live forever. There aren’t many and the most of the traditional traits aren’t true. Like I said human that can “potentially” live forever. I just hope the next book doesn’t take forever to come out. ;)

U-nsuspecting, Will has committed his life to being alone. Being a teacher in a quaint town suites him just fine.
N-aive, going out with her friends isn’t something Ashton wants to do but a recent breakup gives her the push.
R-egrets, looking back at the past Ashton wishes she had never made the choices that took her down the path to her present life.
E-qual, Will wants to help Ashton and her family because he knows he can. Having never met someone like him he begins to give his heart away.
Q-uest, Ashton will do what is needed to keep a semblance of normalcy in her life a big part of that is not allowing Will near her heart.
U-nrelenting, Will has made an undeniable connection to Ashton’s family and unknowingly in her heart.
I-ndecision, having met someone else that makes Ashton’s pulse quicken she forgets to listen to what her heart is truly saying.
T-rust, Griffin has never willingly opened up to anyone before but something about Ashton calls to him and he will take care of her no matter the cost to his heart.
E-ntangled, Ashton never thought things could become more complicated two incredible men vying for her affections now faced with death she is more lost than ever before.
D-estined, the future is shrouded in mystery the only certainty is nothing is certain. Rescued by the two men who brought all of this confusion upon her Ashton must figure out a way to decipher the truth within her heart.

GAH!
Yep y'all guessed it it’s a MOTHER-EFFIN Cliffhanger!!

gun animated GIF

I seriously had no clue there was going to be another one. I’m glad there is because Ashton has some splainin to do! Lol not only are there two totally different guys vying for her. At this point I honestly believe she doesn’t deserve either of them. One things for sure this girl has a lot of room for improvement. I know her personality stemmed from this sudden change altering her existence For-e-ver and the guys have had centuries to come to terms with it…ANNNNND thats why I havent lit the torches or pulled out the pitch forks…BUUUUUUT I truly hope she comes to grips with at least whats in her heart soon and stick with it. I’m looking forward to what the next book will hold and what the title will be hm…

My Fav’s
Will
Yea if I had to pick a team it would be this guy. I’m sure y'all know by now the love triangle is thick…It didn’t present itself till a little past the half way mark, so you can see why by that time I was all in on Will. I’m not a huge fan of Ashton but I hope she gets her crap together and redeems herself a bit in the next. All the while from beginning to end Will is amazing perfect everything that Ashton needs. I hope she comes along soon!!

My Wish
If wishes were fishes we’d all cast a _____

Well here’s my net, Ashton to figure out what the heck she wants and asap.

Whomever gets left in the dust to find someone because believe it or not I too have fallen for both Will and Griffin.

Last but def not least We need to turn up the heat a notch(or twenty) This is the first Swoon Romance I’ve read that didn’t have an *ahem *cough *wink scene but I get it Ashton’s a smart girl and doesn’t want to rush into anything. I on the other hand want her to...
 CHOOSE CHOOSE CHOOSE! :)

My Rating
3.5 Party, Solo Cup, Roofie, Woods, Year, History Teacher, Parent meeting, Dance, Promise, Blip, Griffin, Carnival, Confession, Discovery, Gwen, Quarry, Realization. For a different type of Vampire pick up this interesting read!
