Book Synopsis:

My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods…or monsters. I still can’t decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me.

Then there’s Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn’t felt anything for a hundred years. But there’s something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what’s broken in me.

Which could spell death for us all.

Because Jaxon walled himself off for a reason. And now someone wants to wake a sleeping monster, and I’m wondering if I was brought here intentionally—as the bait.

My Thoughts:

Crave was a book that immediately pulled me in.  In a challenging time where reading, watching tv, or focusing on any other enjoyable activity feels impossible, this story was the escape that I desperately needed.

Grace has been forced to leave San Diego, after her parents were killed in a car accident.  Now she's moved to Alaska to attend Katmere Academy, where her Uncle Finn is the headmaster.  Things don't go so well when Grace arrives.  While she's impressed by the architecture of her boarding school, which resembles  an elaborate gothic castle, she gets severely ill with altitude sickness, isn't received well by most of the other students, and finds her life in danger too many times to count!

Her cousin Macy, also her new roommate, goes out of her way to try to make Grace feel welcome, but the rude, brooding, and gorgeous Jaxon Vega, comes off as cold, as he warns her that she needs to leave, because she isn't safe at Katmere. Then there's Flint, who is Jackson's opposite in every way, from his warmth, to his flirty and teasing manner.  He makes Macy comfortable, but doesn't make her heart beat or her stomach flutter the way Jackson does.  One thing is for certain, the students at Katmere Academy are very different from Grace...

Fans of the Twilight franchise, as well as the Lux franchise, are going to love this story.  We have Grace and Jaxon, two characters full of combustible chemistry, that will leave you giddy and spellbound at their every interaction. Crave is told exclusively through Grace's eyes, and I enjoyed her viewpoint.  We see Jaxon start off as a bit cold, but he still goes out of his way to protect Grace right from the very beginning of this story, and it was an Edward and Bella type of Twilight dynamic.

Ms. Wolff did a great job of entertaining me throughout the entire story.  The pacing was perfect!  For being a 592 page book, this story flew by!  The characters were fascinating, and I enjoyed the air of mystery that surrounded them all, as well as trying to guess at what kind of paranormal being they were. There was such a fun and eclectic variety too; with vampires, witches, and dragon and wolf shifters!

Crave was such a high energy read!  Bookworms are going to love the book and movie quote references, the romance, magic, danger, and lure of a book full of exciting magical paranormal creatures. If you are looking for light, entertaining, and exciting, then look no further for the perfect reading escape!

Crave reminds me of why I got in to young adult paranormal.  It makes me think of The Vampire Academy Series, and Bloodlines Series which are two of my favorite young adult paranormal series.' Extreme Risk Series

Shredded (Extreme Risk, #1)

Shattered (Extreme Risk, #2)

Review

Shattered, by Tracy Wolff was a beautiful and heartwarming reading escape! When I read the first installment in the Extreme Risk Series, which is Ophelia and Z's story, I got to know and love all the characters that Tracy Wolff created. I knew that Ash was going to get his book next, but what I never expected was how heartbroken I was going to be by the end of Shredded. Yes, it was a ''take the virtual dustpan out'' moment. My heart was in a million pieces and I wanted to reach out and give Ash a hug! I knew that Shattered was going to be an emotional ride. Tracy Wolff exceeded all of my expectations for Tansy and Ash's story.

After tragedy strikes and leaves him feeling numb, snowboarder Ash Lewis' life spirals out of control. He puts his dreams on hold to take care of his little brother. When Tansy Hampton walks into his life she's like a soothing balm. Her sweetness, her support and the way she sees life makes him feel again. As the days go by, they start to get closer and neither of them can deny the attraction between them. Will Tansy find a way into Ash's heart? Will Ash be able to let go of the past and move forward with Tansy?

Tracy Wolff's writing style captivated me from the first moment I read Drive Me Crazy (Shaken Dirty Series) The chemistry between the main characters is electrifying, the secondary characters are all involved in the storyline, which brings an extra touch of awesomeness to the story and her writing style is fantastic! I am so happy that I discovered her amazing talent and her awesome books!

My connection with Tansy and Ash was instant. I crave that connection with the characters! For me when you establish that connection from the start you just don't read the story, you feel it! And, that's exactly what happened with Shattered. I not only read the story, I felt it! In many moments my heart was breaking for both these characters who have stolen a piece of my heart. Ash was so broken and lost when Tansy found him. She was like a breath of fresh air to him. Tansy was exactly what Ash needed to come out of that dark place where he was hiding since his world came crashing down.

Tansy was remarkable! Her strength is out of this world! The continuous support she has given Ash since the first moment she met him was inspiring! With everything that has happened to her, she was looking for who the real Tansy was, and by meeting Ash, and helping him out with his struggles she found herself. It was all about fun with Ash, until he literally swept her off her feet and made her feel all kinds of different emotions. It was beautiful, sweet, heartwarming, and might I add that these two have some extremely sexy moments together! Holy Moly! My kindle was on FIRE!

Ash was exactly who I expected him to be. He had such a tender heart! I loved how he took care of his little brother, his friendship with Z, Ophelia, Luc and Cam. The way he slowly, but deeply feel in love with Tansy. He was an incredible character to follow and I loved to see him grow has an individual. He was stubborn at times, but with the support of his friends and Tansy he understood that life has many twists and turns. No matter what it throws your way, you have to stand up strong and fight!

I had so much fun reconnecting with the whole gang from the Extreme Risk Series. They are awesome characters that I would see myself hanging out with! I love how I learned so much about snowboarding! Tracy Wolff makes it fun and interesting! I can't wait to read the next installment in this series! I haven't seen anything about Cam and Luc's story yet, but I'm crossing my fingers we will get a blurb and a release date pretty soon! :)

Synopsis:

In this intense and exhilarating New Adult series debut, a hotshot snowboarder and a vulnerable rebel with a cause try to let go of the past—and find a future in each other.

Twenty-one-year-old professional snowboarder Z Michaels is the bad boy of Park City, Utah. He’s always had his pick of any girl in town—and on the competition circuit. But underneath his cool exterior is a young man in turmoil, trying to take the edge off tragedy by overindulging in sex and shredding the slopes. In fact, Z’s reckless behavior is a thinly veiled attempt to blunt his emotional suffering with physical pain.

Ophelia Richardson isn’t like any girl Z has ever met. Though she’s from New Orleans high society, she’s no Southern belle—and she’s not shy about being miserable in frozen, godforsaken Park City. But laying low is her only option after her ex, a rich boy who couldn’t take no for an answer, nearly killed her in a jealous rage. Following that terrifying encounter, the last thing Ophelia needs is a boyfriend—especially one as rich and arrogant as Z. But Ophelia soon discovers that he isn’t what he seems. If anything, Z may be even more damaged than she is.

Tormented by their pasts and feeling alone in the world, Z and Ophelia find a connection unlike any they’ve ever known. But with Ophelia hiding the details of her life in Louisiana and Z’s death wish reaching terrifying new heights, their relationship seems to be going downhill before it even begins—unless they can find the strength in each other to trust, grow, and love again.

Review

A few weeks ago I read my first book by author Tracy Wolff, which was Drive Me Crazyand I absolutely loved it! I was anxious to start reading the Extreme Risk Series. I loved the blurbs for both books and did you see those covers?!?!?! Hot!!

Two broken souls. One emotional ride. In Shredded we meet Ophelia and Z. The bad boy of the snowboarding circuit meets his match!

This was such a great read! I really did not know what to expect of this series. A few things happened when I started reading Shredded. I think it's actually the first book that I did not connect with both main characters from the start. Z was a big jerk and Ophelia got on my nerves with her attitude at the beginning. Even if my connection with Ophelia and Z was slow, my connection with Cam, Luc and Ash was instant! I just wanted to jump in the book and hang out with them! With that being said ... I did end up connecting with Z and Ophelia. I know exactly the moment that I did. I don't want to give anything away, but from that moment I really started to see the layers of pain that both characters were hiding.

Ophelia and Z had instant chemistry, but their romance was slow building. I actually liked that. You could actually see them fall for each other. They learned to let go of their past by trusting each other. Even if I did not connect with them at the beginning, I can't deny that their chemistry was HOT! Eeeep!!! The sexual tension at the beginning of the book was CRAZY!!!!

Z, Cam, Luc and Ash's love for snowboarding was contagious! I don't know much about the sport, but my heart was beating fast when I was reading the scenes about it. The only thing I would have to say is that all those snowboarding terms left me confused. I'm totally Team Ophelia and will say that Z ''Spins around a bunch of times.'' LOL!!!

Overall, I really enjoyed reading about Ophelia and Z's journey. The ending of this book is not an actual cliffhanger for this couple, but it leaves you hanging for the next book. My heart broke with the last words of the Epilogue :( I can't wait to start reading Ash's story and off course about Cam and Luc's story as well :)

Review

Drive Me Crazy by Tracy Wolff was absolutely AMAZING!!! I'm a huge fan of the Brazen collection from Entangled. I have lost count of how many titles I bought from that collection. No matter the author these books leave me every single time with a huge smile on my face. This was my first time reading a book written by Tracy Wolff and Oh.my.God it won't be my last! I love her writing style and the fantastic rockstar world she has created!

When I read the synopsis for Drive Me Crazy I was not sure what to expect. It's easier to me to connect with a couple who have just met than a couple who have had a relationship in the past. I love to see the relationship slowly building. But, I have to admit that with this book it was different! Let me explain ...

Quinn and Elise are rivals from the past. Their passion for music has brought them together, but after they share one night of passion Quinn walks out of Elise's life without explanations and he leaves her heartbroken. Ten years later, Quinn is the keyboardist for Shaken Dirty, a rock band that is on top of the music charts, and Elise is a successful concert pianist. When tragedy strikes and Elise is left with a broken hand and alone to pick up the pieces of her shattered life, Quinn comes back from nowhere to help her with her recovery. As days go by, Elise and Quinn fall back into their routine from the past. Pranks, laughs, music and their undeniable attraction for each other. Will Elise be able to give her heart to Quinn once again? Will Quinn face the music and stick around when the person he loves the most in his life needs him?

I am absolutely in love with Elise and Quinn!!!! Sweet baby Jesus! These two have such an amazing chemistry! And, I'm not just talking about their chemistry between the sheets. Don't get me wrong .... The sexual chemistry was blazing hot! There is a certain piano scene *Ahem* that I'm still thinking about. Hot Damn!!! *Fans Self* Yup! Sexual chemistry ... Check! But, the way they feel about each other?!?!?! It's BEAUTIFUL!!! Quinn came back into Elise's life and puts back the pieces of her broken heart and life together. Their conversations, the tender moments that they shared, every touch, every kiss, each were unforgettable! My heart was bursting with happiness for them! That first kiss that they shared after 10 long years of separation ... Wow!!!! It's all I can say! I was at the edge of my seat! It was all kinds of AMAZING!!! Oh, and their pranks?!?! Freakin' hysterical!!!! I laughed so much while reading this book. My girl Elise wins the battle of the pranks no questions asked! She Rocks!!!! I've got two words for you .... Twinkies and Sparkles. Tehehehe!!! I'm going to agree with Jared and Ryder and admit that I don't want to be on the receiving end of one of her pranks ;)

What I also loved about this book is that all the supporting characters in this story were amazing!!! I want to learn more about the other members of Shaken Dirty and I am definitely going to purchase Crash Into Me. Ryder and Jamison stole my heart as well in this book and I want to read about how they found each other :) I'm not sure who will be next in line to get their own book, but I'm going to be the first in line to get my virtual reading ticket for the next amazing journey that author Tracy Wolff will bring us.
