Lindy's Thoughts:

The finale of With Visions of Red was electrifying, bone chilling, and creepy goose bump inducing!  As we enter the final stretch towards the story's climax, Ms.Wolfe beautifully creates anticipation and tension filled awareness.

Agent Sadie Bonds has been hunting for a deranged sociopath who gets off on sadistic torture.  As the game of cat and mouse resumes, who will be the victor, Sadie or the Unsub?

I love how Ms. Wolfe had me guessing who the unsub was until the last minute of the story.  The ending was absolutely brilliant!  It caught me off guard, and was extremely satisfying.  Sadie and Colton's sexual relationship continues to be unconventional, extremely passionate, and spellbinding.  

Ms. Wolfe has found her niche!  She can write anything!  However,  I think her ability to get inside of a killer's head, create tension and anticipation, and keep giving her readers plot twists, and unpredictability, lends her to being an amazing writer of thrillers and crime fiction.

Visions of Red, by Trisha Wolfe, the entire series, along with the final episodic, hair raising, maniacal maze, of ever so sadistically spell binding, well planned, and executed torture, will knock you right out of your ever so comfortable world!!!  

Ms. Wolfe has combined her intellect, and well developed knowledge into the world of sadistic sociopaths.  That along with her colorful prose, which gives her reader a front row seat into the lives of the serial killer are combustable.  The reader will develop a keen sense of smell, and see the killer in every situation they face.   Pretty soon the reader finds themselves making sure they are walking with their back against the wall, because they never know who might be lurking in the dark, waiting to capture their thoughts and invade their soul.  They just might have to make a deal with the devil.  One they will never forget, just like Sadie!

Every click, thump, gasp, sigh, left me riveted to what was happening around me.  I found myself jumping with every sound.  The reader will feel their skin crawl as they are deposited into the world Ms. Wolfe has created, manipulated, and developed. With Visions of Red, the reader is taken to a final crescendo that they will not see coming!  I was left off balance, running on fumes, anticipating the next step, but never knowing what I may fall into. 

Ms. Wolfe filled me with rage like I have never felt before.  As one of my favorite suspense/crime authors of all time, she alone can manifest terrifying chills that will run throughout your spine, as the perspiration runs down your face, in anticipation of the next step.  The seductive relationship between Colton and Sadie doesn't disappoint.  Read, With Visions of Red, by Trisha Wolfe.  She is a formidable writer and creator of the artful world of illusion.  She brings her readers to their knees, and this book is another feather in her cap!  With Visions of Red, by Trisha Wolfe, the final episode, blew my socks off!!!

With Visions of Red, Part 2, continues to be an exhilarating page turner!  This is a high octane thriller, that keeps the reader on their toes every step of the way.  As criminal profiler Sadie Bonds continues to work the case of a sadistic serial killer, she painstakingly exams all of the evidence, and we as readers feel like we are right there with her looking at all of the clues.  Time is running out as the serial killer continues to commit gruesome murders, and draws closer to Sadie.  

The danger is palpable, and goosebumps crawled up my skin as the killer sent messages to Sadie, and it was obvious that he was watching her closely.  Now, he is targeting those she is close to.  The killer knows things that he shouldn't.  Is there a leak in the department, or is the killer someone from the inside?  One thing is certain, time is ticking, and the sand in the hourglass is about to run out...

With Visions of Red is one of those stories that really makes you think.  Like a complex puzzle, I was determined to put the pieces together.  However, this story is anything but predictable.  Right when you think one person is guilty, you change your mind, because really the killer could be anyone.  It could be Sadie's partner, Detective Quinn, rookie Detective Carson, the police captain, Wexler, Colton (her lover), Colton's brother, Julian, or Colton's roommate, Jefferson.  The possibilities are endless.

Trisha's writing is brilliant.  It is beautiful, and her words hypnotize the reader.  She paints a picture in the readers mind so vivid, that scene after scene unfolds like a movie reel in your head.  All of the characters have a bit of mystery to them.  Colton has his secrets, and Sadie has hers.  Yet, as we learn more about these characters, we begin to get a clearer picture of who they are, what makes them tick, and we learn about the skeleton's in their closet; which is something they all seem to have.  This makes for a very intriguing and entertaining cast of characters.

Now lets discuss the sexy, enigmatic, passionate, and nonconventional, Colton Reed.  This man is sex on a stick.  Sadie can't stay away, and as a reader I don't want her to.  When these two are in the same vicinity as one another, lust, and passion overtake all of their senses.  Sadie and Colton steam up the kindle screen, and like a match thrown on kindling with a bit of gasoline, all I could see was the blazing inferno all around them.  They continue to practice their erotic rope play, and are obsessed with one another.  However, we also begin to see trust and a deeper emotional connection develop between them as well.  They begin to confide in one another, and for better or worse, Sadie has decided to take a leap of faith where Colton is concerned.

We are left with a climatic ending, and a to be continued.  Who is the killer?  We still don't know, but all will be revealed in the third and final book.  Until then, I will be counting down the days until I get to finish this addicting page-turner!

Trisha Wolfe has done it again, as only she knows how, in With Visions of Red (Broken Bonds#2.)  I was riveted once again, and thrown into this world of seduction and intrigue.  I was completely enveloped in the minds of Sadie and Colton.  This is where my mind goes crazy and I am on the brink of figuring out this rubix cube of hypnotic terror!!!

The reader never knows what is going to hit them, as they walk a tightrope, through the crime scenes, and the killer that has all the answers. Your mind is invaded, corrupted, bedazzled, titilated, and completely off balance.  Just who is the killer?  Who knows all the secrets?  Are they voyeuristic, watching her every move?  The questions are endless.

Believe me readers, Ms. Wolfe is a master story teller, the way her killer is a master manipulator.  There are no easy answers to figuring out this puzzle.  The fear will invade your bones.  Your mind will be swirling in the vortex of the tumultuous countdown, with the sadistic, interwoven, finely crafted, double life of this profiler and her serial killer.

The passion and lust runs so deep that it makes the reader feel the climatic explosion from within.  Ms. Wolfe has outdone herself, which is very difficult to do in my book!  Don't miss out on this suspenseful, lust filled, erotic, balancing act of a lifetime.  You will not be disappointed, I promise. You will find yourself living and breathing through the killer's mind, trying to strategize his every move...but it won't be that easy!  The characters are so well crafted.  Ms. Wolfe's prose are once again in a league of their own.  She is one of a kind.  I am thrilled to be a part of her phenomenal journey, and you will be too!!!

When I saw the book cover for Visions of Red, I was intrigued; and when I read the synopsis, I knew this was a book that I had to read.  One thing that I'd like to mention about the author, Trisha Wolfe, is that she is not restricted to writing in one genre.  She can write anything!  Whether her stories are young adult, new adult or adult, and whether they are contemporary, paranormal, fantasy, or thriller, one thing remains consistent; and that is her talent for writing a beautiful story.

With Visions of Red, takes the reader in to the minds of behavioral analyst (criminal profiler,) Sadie Bonds, and an unknown sadistic serial killer.  We get both perspectives.  The story opens up with a traumatic life altering event that took place when she was just nineteen years old.  Like the ripples of a wave, this event has molded Sadie in to the person that she has now become at age twenty-six.  Sadie attends an underground sex club called The Lair, where a variety of sexual fetishes can be fulfilled.  She enjoys voyeurism, and while there meets the enigmatic, and sexy, Colton Reed.  He introduces Sadie to bondage, and specifically, Shibari, a type of Japanese sexual bondage.

Simultaneously, Sadie is on the hunt for a serial killer, along with her partner Detective Quinn. As gruesome murders become more frequent, and the violence against the victims escalate, Sadie is in charge of getting inside of the head of the killer.  However, she soon realizes that the killer is also getting inside of her head, and trying to send her a message.

With Visions of Red was told in Ms. Wolfe's elegant signature style.  I love the way she is able to paint a picture so perfectly with her words.  Her prose are simply beautiful, and artistic.  I got a clear picture of Sadie Bonds.  She is a complex and multi-layered character, and Ms. Wolfe did an excellent job of bringing her to life.  Colton Reed is still a huge mystery.  However, I am anxious to learn more.  He is such a sexy, controlled, and dynamic character.  I couldn't help but be drawn to him, like a moth to a flame.  This story was fast-paced, full of suspense, and intrigue!  The reader is left with a cliffhanger, to-be-continued ending, and highly anticipating the next volume in the series.

My Rating:

I give, With Visions of Red, by Trisha Wolfe, 5 Aphrodisiac, Erotic Rope Play, Suspenseful, On the Edge of Your Seat, Psychopath Serial Killer Filled Stars!  I highly recommend this story for readers that love stories about criminology, victimology, profiling, forensics, complex puzzles, suspense, intrigue, and eroticism!

Visions of Red, (Broken Bonds#1), by Trisha Wolfe, opens to a climatic scene filled with razor sharp, grizzly tension.  The reader is drawn into the world of a psychopath, and his calculated, manipulative moves, leave the hairs on your neck and arms raising with a bone chilling effect.

Sadie Bonds was very young when she was abducted by a serial killer, coerced into a dungeon, and was exposed to the unthinkable.  Sadie thought she was going to die there, but she didn't.  Years later, after surviving, she becomes a criminal profiler.

Sadie relies on her past to catch Killers.  The thing is, no one knows that Sadie leads a double life.  She fights criminals during the day, and lives a deviant life at night, among those who enjoy the erotic and sadistic.  It is in her blood.  She has many secrets, and lives on the edge of two worlds in order to keep her sanity. The killer still lives in her head, and there is no escape. 

The fragility in the fine line of those two worlds is enough to keep her sated for a while, until she is almost undone by someone who learns of her secrets.  Who can she trust?  She doesn't know anymore, but she does know that Colton Reed, a bartender at the Lair Club, has drawn her into a spider web that she can't escape.  Colton teaches her to trust him in order to help her leave her demons behind, but is there an ulterior motive?

Ms. Wolfe's descriptions are palpable to the point that the scenes permeate the walls of your mind.  I felt, saw, inhaled, heard every single sound, movement, stench, poignant scene, in this magnificently sculpted novel of intrigue, terror, invasion, and hell. I was riveted as Ms. Wolfe brought both of Sadie's worlds to a ground breaking halt.

The demons in the very soul of Sadie are more than anyone could possibly realize.  Her multi-dimensional character seems unfathomable.  Ms. Wolfe draws her readers into every synapse of this twisted, torturous, double sided window into the darkest world they will ever fear to inhabit.  

This novel will swallow you whole.  Sadie finds the ultimate signature of her serial killer, and the reader becomes part of this twisted, crazed world, as they participate, the same as the onlooking voyeur, in this crazy world as it spirals out of control. 

Ms. Wolfe's poetic prose come to life on every page.  You will be astounded.  The only thing that was almost my undoing was the Cliffhanger!!!  AGH!  I need to know what happens next...
