Stacking the Shelves & Sunday Post (35)

This week I was busy getting ready for Easter.  I got goodies and gift cards to fill baskets for my husband, daughter, and parents.  I got things ready for my daughter's Egg Hunt and class party, as well as a bunch of things to cook and bake to go over to my In-Laws Home, as well as my parents home for Easter.  I got some pampering in; hair and nails, so that was fun!

I am in to learning about natural ways we can make our bodies healthier.  This became a quest for me, due to the fact that my daughter has a lot of health and sensory issues due to her autism, and I have health problems as well.

It's been so much fun learning about essential oils, the healing power of herbs, and how drinking herbal teas, making my own smoothies, juicing, and eating as many raw fruits and vegetables can naturally heal the body.

I bought a mini binder kit from Barnes and Noble that has dividers, note paper and adhesive notes that I am going to use to put herbal recipes, essential oil recipes etc. and organize by ailment.  For example, I will have sections for Naturally Boosting Immunity, Healthy Gut, Acid Reflux/Heartburn, Flu, Arthritis, etc. along with all of the natural recipes and remedies that I have learned about.  I am really excited for this project!

Last Week on the Blog:

*American Royals by Katharine McGee (WOW)
*Did I Mention I Miss You? by Estelle Maskame (Review)
*3 Books to Wish For (Discussion Post)

  1. Cute Easter baskets! Have a super holiday!

I think natural remedies and just natural ways of being healthier, and essential oils and all that, are fascinating.

  2. I love all your Easter goodies. I like that Fancy Nancy doll...I have one that sits atop a stack of books.

    Enjoy your week!

  3. I love your Easter baskets, Lindy, they look absolutely yummy :)
And I'd be interested in your natural remedies, too. Healthy gut, acid reflux and arthritis are things I have to take care of naturally, as I can't take any anti-inflammatory medications...
    Happy Easter :)

  4. It's so great you're trying to eat healthy. It's so hard to change habits, most of which stem from childhood.

  5. Nice to get some pampering done after all that work. I hope the natural oils and eating healthy improves things.

The cover on Five Feet Apart is very pretty! Hope the story is good, too. :)

  6. The baskets look fun and I know your family will love them. We just have potluck at the in laws and the egg hunt there with all the grandkids.

I like your natural health ideas and the way to store what you find. I have a few Natural Healing books with lists of herbal remedies and foods for each ailment which have been helpful to me.

    Enjoy your Easter, Lindy!

  7. I love your Easter prep. I hope you had a great Easter celebration with your family. Happy Easter.

  8. Wow! Those Easter baskets look amazing, Lindy. I hope you had one yourself! ;-)

  9. You've got some great Easter baskets- yummy! We have used essential oils for a few years. We also try to limit processed food and sugar so no Easter baskets for us. I got my daughter some new scented facial masks. We got our nails done and I got some flavored waters. Have a great week and enjoy your project!

  10. Happy Easter! Your baskets came out well! I put together baskets for my daughter, husband and me. I spent Friday morning filling eggs while my daughter was in school for her traditional egg hunt. It sounds like you had a very fun filled and busy Easter weekend! It is just the three of us, and so we didn't do too much. Just enjoyed the day together as a family. Plus the Easter egg hunt, which my daughter always loves doing.

A friend of mine sells essential oils. They are so expensive that I haven't completely bought into them, but I do like natural remedies when I can use them.

I love the cover of Five Feet Apart. I hope you love it.

    Have a great week!

  11. Sounds like Easter will be exciting at your house!
    Good luck with your project.

    Have a great reading week

  12. Good luck with the project!
I'm embarking on a health mission myself so I wish you lots of luck.

  13. Those Easter baskets are so adorable. *.* I hope you had a lovely Easter with your family.

Wishes of a great week! ;)

  14. Such cute Easter baskets. We fill eggs for the Royals and they came over for an egg hunt. It was fun. We got a sandbox for our house and they played it the entire time. Well except dinner, but boy were they tired when they left. Have a fun week!

  15. Seriously but baskets!! I love them. I hope you like Five Feet Apart, I thought it was soo good and I can't wait to see the movie!

  16. My nephew is autistic so I know exactly what you're going through Lindy. Good luck! And it sounds like your family has a marvelous Easter!! ❤️

  17. I hope you had a good Easter. Glad you got some goodies. I'm glad you've been keeping healthy and found a productive way to do that! Hope it goes well for you and your daughter.
