My eyes flicked to Cooper, who was looking way too self-satisfied. 
“You did that on purpose,” I snarled. 
“I have no idea what you’re talking about. I was merely being helpful.” 
My eyes narrowed. I wasn’t buying it. “You had his car towed, didn’t you?” 
“And why would I want to do something as sophomoric as that?” 
“You said you didn’t want me to date Travis. That’s why.” 
“A mere suggestion. You think much too much of yourself.” “Why you—you—”

I spun on my heel way too fast. The heat, pounding music, and flashing lights made me dizzy. I took a step forward and down I went.

She nodded as she trembled from the trace of his finger. “I did feel it.”

“You already are. So tell me something else that’s true. “Am I wrong?” he asked, arching an eyebrow. “If I’m wrong, tell me and I’ll walk away.” 

She shook her head. “Are you going to take it off? Tie me up?” she asked in a voice that hardly sounded like hers. It belonged to the part of her that had been untended for years. 

He grinned wickedly. “No. I have other ways to tie you up,” he said, and in a flash, he gripped her wrists in his big strong hands, wrapping his fingers around her, binding her as he yanked her hands behind her back. My Thoughts:

Sinful Desire was a succulent and decadent dessert for the senses.  Sensual, and sinfully seductive, fans of erotic romance will want to add this story to their book shelves.

Ryan Sloane is a man that has trouble trusting others.  His mother was found guilty of having his father killed.  The only people that he lets close to him are his siblings Michael, Shannon, and Colin.  When Ryan is called in for questioning due to his father's murder case being reopened, he see's a beautiful woman outside the building.  As Sophie Winston see's the gorgeous man staring at her, they share a mutual case of "Lust at first sight."  

Sophie is a wealthy philanthropist.  She has brains, beauty, and a vivacious personality.  Sophie made the mistake of marrying her best friend.  Even though she loved him with all of her heart, they were not sexually compatible.  She wants to find the kind of epic love that her parents shared.  

When she see's Ryan, the chemistry between them is palpable, and he makes her want to take a chance on a sexual adventure.  She drops the information of where she'll be later that night if he is interested in getting to know her.  Needless to say, one very high octane meeting leads to Ryan and Sophie having the most amazing sexual and emotional love affair that either of them have ever experienced.  However, Ryan isn't being forthcoming about the connection he has to Sophie's brother.  When this information comes to light, will he lose the only woman who has ever stolen his heart?

Sinful Desire was full of unadulterated lust, the fulfillment of naughty fantasies, mysteries and suspense concerning Ryan's father's murder case, and the emotional connection that comes when a person decides to let their walls down and open up.  The story was pretty lengthy, but oh so worth the read! 

My Rating:

I give, Sinful Desire, by Lauren Blakely, 4 Wickedly Enticing, Captivating Tryst, Falling in Love" Filled Stars.  I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, Sinful Longing, which will be younger brother, Colin Sloane's story.  We get a glimpse of the crazy attraction that he shares with his future leading lady, and I can't wait to see how everything plays out between the two of them.  Also, I want to go back and read, Sweet Sinful Nights, which is younger sister Shannon Sloane's story.  I love the Sloane siblings, and hope we get all of the answers to their father's murder by the end of the series!

Everything Begins With a Thought…But The Greatest Deeds are Accomplished By Action

Not going to lie folks I’m really pumped I decided to keep reading this series! Lots and lots of dialogue! Action! and DARE.I.SAY!!!! LOVE?! What?! Yep! Its there!! I physically did not want to put this one down! When I was away from the book(stupid life) all I could do was think about what would happen next. Wheeler doesn’t hold back I hearted this installment pretty hard. The world building was great just enough detail to keep me in the right scene with the right surroundings but not too much to where we are told about a tree and its branches for 5 pages. The cover still not my fave but eh it could be worse. OMG I can’t wait to hop into the next book!

The Story, Maia is at Muirwood and everyone knows what she must do. After the type of ordeal she has gone through she is unsure of herself. She faced evil and with the help of the high seer was able to overcome it. Very strategically Maia and her order are all about to face their greatest enemies and they come from every side. Maia longs for Collier because he is the one she gave her heart to. She can never kiss anyone she loves and she doesn’t understand why but her main focus is saving her people and everyone in the realm. Reunited with her father is only the beginning of the troubles Maia has to face. She will be challenged at ever corner but she knows how she must react and she does a magnificent job of it.

The Characters, Maia is splendid!! I love her personality and I admire her example there are so many times I would not have had the same restraint! We got to see more of Maia with Collier and my puppy tail wagged with glee at every word. Still not a a lot of romance. Okay okay, there was but it was all proper and such but still there. We are introduced to another dashing fellow so immediately I thought there would be a love triangle because those are totally the rave right now but…for those of you that hate them rest assured there is not. Not even a blip of a blip. The fellow introduced has given his heart to the girl that is Maia’s companion. It is hard to tell where everyones loyalties lie but near the end everything seems pretty clear. OH MAN…Don’t get me started on her father! That guy is BAD NEWS!! UGH!!!

Its not like crazy cliffhanger but its enough that you'll want to hop right into the third. Maia finds herself but I just want her to have more confidence. Though I will say she is pretty stinking amazing! More Collier I want MORE COLLIER!! Oh and that thing? Can’t she burn it off?

“This is a great place,” I murmur, and turn in a complete circle, taking everything in. The forest is thick here, but with a clearing by a wide pool of water,which is being fed by a creek that empties into it via a beautiful waterfall about twenty yards away. Slabs of rock frame the pond, making a natural ledge to sit on and enjoy nature. 

“This is where I’ve always come whenever I’m happy or mad or just need to think.” Josh wraps his arms around me from behind and kisses the top of my head.

He cups my cheeks in the palm of his hand and pulls me closer, sinking into the kiss, but then he abruptly pulls back, his brows pulled into a frown. 

“You really are warm,” he mutters, and feels my neck and forehead. 

 I laugh at him as I rub my hand up and down his firm chest. “It’s hot outside, Josh.” 

“Let’s cool off.” He smiles down at me wickedly and begins to peel me out of my clothes. 

“We might give the wildlife quite a show,” I warn him mildly, excitement coursing through me. 

“That’s the plan.” He winks at me and quickly strips out of his own clothes. He pulls me up onto my feet and peels my jeans and panties down my legs. 

 “Now what?” I ask with a wide smile. 

 “Now we cool off.”
