R. Scarlett is still a new author to me. A few months ago a I read When Sinners Kneel and it left me wanting more! I was excited to learn that she was writing a New Adult Contemporary Romance. This is the genre I read the most so I was looking for something new to catch my attention. Filthy Gods was an excellent introduction to the American Gods Series and I can't wait to follow all of these American Gods and the ladies who will make them fall hard.
Juliette Monroe is about to make a deal with the enemy. Nathaniel Radcliffe is her most fierce competition at Yale. They both will stop at nothing to achieve their personal goals. They are rivals, but one deal is about to make them become something more. Nathaniel is on a mission to conquer Juliette and his captivating ways are about to create a havoc in her life. Will she get burned by the enemy?
I really enjoyed Juliette and Nathaniel's journey. Even if their story was fast-paced, I really connected with them as characters. Sometimes it's really difficult for me to connect with the main characters in a novella, but it was not the case with Filthy Gods. R. Scarlett's writing style is captivating and her characters grab your attention from the moment you meet them!
Juliette was a fierce and confident heroine that I loved to cheer for. Nathaniel is a dirty-talking, sexy and intense hero that will make you melt! Their chemistry was super hot and the steamy stolen moments that they shared left me fanning myself more than once!
The supporting cast of characters was intriguing and I can't wait to read their story. We got a little glimpse of James, Gabe and Arsen. OMG!! I'm so intrigued by Arsen!!! I'm really excited to read what will happen next! Excellent debut to the American Gods Series!
