Sara Ney has done it again!!! The newest addition to her Jock Hard Series, Jock Road, was an unputdownable reading escape! All of her books have given me a book hangover and this one was no exception. It feels so good to pick a book and realize from the very first page that this story will make you smile, swoon and cheer for these amazing characters! 

In Jock Road, we follow Charlie and Jackson’s journey. Charlie is the kind of heroine I love to cheer for and Jackson is the swoony hero that will melt your heart! Jackson can’t afford any distractions. He has a clear road for his football career and he’s been doing a good job at following that road until Charlie comes along. She’s about to turn his world upside down and he just can’t get enough of her. 

The connection I have with the characters is very important to me. I know right from the start if I will connect with them. It took me no time at all to fall in love with Charlie and Jackson. They complete each other perfectly and I loved their chemistry. Their journey was filled with laughs romance and swoon galore. This book was written in a dual POV and trust me when I say that you will love reading both these POV’s. 

If you’re a fan of Sports Romance, don’t hesitate to escape into the Jock Hard world. Sara Ney is an incredible author that knows how to bring an unforgettable reading journey. Her writing style is captivating and fun and her characters will leave you cheering for them from beginning to end! If you are scared that you will be confused if you pick up Jock Road before any of the other books in the series, don’t be. All the books in this series can be read as a standalone. This is exactly the kind of book I needed to get out of my book funk. Jock Road was everything I expected it to be. I loved every minute of it! I highly recommend this entire series!

Review:

If you have never read anything by Sara Ney, Switch Bidder is the perfect novella to give you a little peek at how phenomenal this author is. Novellas in my opinion are great to discover new authors and Sara Ney is an author that you ABSOLUTELY need on your TBR list! Her writing style is captivating and her stories linger with you for days after you turned the last page.

Piper Davenport is about to step out of her comfort zone. She has been crushing on Ryder Williams for four awkward years. Things get interesting between Piper and Ryder because of an auction that her best friend won for her. Piper's world is about to be turned upside down and Ryder is right by her side for this rollercoaster ride. 

Switch Bidder is the second novella in the Jock Hard Series and it can be read as a standalone. This was a super quick read that left a smile on my lips.  Piper and Ryder are a fantastic duo and I had fun following their little journey. Even if this was a quick novella, I loved how I connected immediately with both of these characters. I really enjoyed my reading escape and I highly recommend this book and the entire Jock Hard Series by Sara Ney. You will not be disappointed!

My Thoughts:

Switch Hitter was a fun, sexy, and fast-paced short little novella.  I've never read anything by Sara Ney before, and my co-blogger/book twin, Mikki, loves all of her books.  I liked the book cover, and when I read the book summary, I thought to myself, "This sounds like a good read!"  I was looking for something short to read, and a book I could get lost in...Well, Switch Hitter proved to be a really good reading escape!

Amelia and Lucy are identical twins, but they couldn't be more different!  Amelia is introverted, down to earth, responsible, and has substance.  Her twin Lucy is outgoing, only dates the most gorgeous guys (usually jocks,) that have a good chance at going pro one day, and heavily depends on Amelia to bail her out of the constant trouble she gets herself into from her irresponsible actions.  

On one such instance, Lucy has accidentally booked herself two dates on the same night, and begs Amelia to pretend to be her for one of these dates.  Even though Amelia really doesn't want to, she bails Lucy out as usual.  However, what happens when Amelia starts to fall for Dante?

Switch Hitter was a good time!  The pages flew by, and the chemistry between Amelia and Dante was palpable.  I enjoyed seeing Amelia let her hair down, relaxing, and slipping up with Dante by being herself.  It was sexy and sensual when they connected with one another, spoke Spanish to each other, flirted, laughed, talked, and danced.  I loved watching these two fall for one another, and wanted Amelia to tell Dante who she really was!  

This story is a nice little intro into the Jock Hard Series, and I really want to read, Jock Row, the first full length story.  If you're looking for a light, fluffy romance, where you just want to relax, sip your wine or tea, and get your mind off of the stresses off life, I recommend reading, The Switch Hitter!

In Jock Row, we are introduced to Scarlett and Rowdy. The captain of the baseball team is about to meet his match! The last thing he wants to do on a Friday night is to babysit Scarlett. She's trying to keep her friends away from the Jock Row men and they are not having it. As days go by, Scarlett and Rowdy share their Friday's together. Rowdy is falling hard and there is no way that he's letting her in the house to party with his teammates and the rest of crowd. He's keeping her all to himself.

I absolutely loved Scarlett and Rowdy from the very beginning. Finding a fast connection to both main characters is always a struggle for me. Rare are the times that two characters make me go gaga over them with just a few scenes. Sara Ney's characters always do that to me. They captivate me from beginning to end! They have a je-ne-sais-quoi that makes me want to jump in the book and hang out with them. 

Scarlett and Rowdy's chemistry was blazing hot!!! Their banter was absolutely amazing and their love story will linger with me for a long time. I liked how they fell into this cute routine that gave them the chance to get to know each other. Fun, flirty and sexy moments are guaranteed when these two play Never have I ever, text or simply spend time together.

What I absolutely love about Sara Ney is that her supporting cast of characters is as unforgettable as her main ones. Rowdy's mom completely stole my heart in this book. She was such a fun characters and the scenes that she shared with Scarlett and Rowdy brought a smile to my face. If you have not read anything by Sara Ney yet, you are seriously missing out on some amazing reading escapes!
