Those are Jackson Jennings, Jr’s three mantras . His entire life, he’s been a trained athlete with only one end-game: the Pro’s. No girls. No parties. No alcohol.

Every Friday night, Triple J cruises the strip on campus, bored, lonely and conditioned not to party. But the night he meets Charlotte Edmonds on the side of the road, he wonders if his three mantras will ever be enough.

Charlie has no time for Jackson’s antics. Not when he’s stealing her food or teases her to no end, making her tingle in all the right places. But if she’s ever going to have a boyfriend, she’d choose one who isn’t a Neanderthal. One with manners and actual time to spend with her. Not a hulking man-child who cruises the strip at night, in his Big. Dumb. Truck.

Sara Ney has done it again!!! The newest addition to her Jock Hard Series, Jock Road, was an unputdownable reading escape! All of her books have given me a book hangover and this one was no exception. It feels so good to pick a book and realize from the very first page that this story will make you smile, swoon and cheer for these amazing characters!

In Jock Road, we follow Charlie and Jackson’s journey. Charlie is the kind of heroine I love to cheer for and Jackson is the swoony hero that will melt your heart! Jackson can’t afford any distractions. He has a clear road for his football career and he’s been doing a good job at following that road until Charlie comes along. She’s about to turn his world upside down and he just can’t get enough of her.

The connection I have with the characters is very important to me. I know right from the start if I will connect with them. It took me no time at all to fall in love with Charlie and Jackson. They complete each other perfectly and I loved their chemistry. Their journey was filled with laughs romance and swoon galore. This book was written in a dual POV and trust me when I say that you will love reading both these POV’s.

If you’re a fan of Sports Romance, don’t hesitate to escape into the Jock Hard world. Sara Ney is an incredible author that knows how to bring an unforgettable reading journey. Her writing style is captivating and fun and her characters will leave you cheering for them from beginning to end! If you are scared that you will be confused if you pick up Jock Road before any of the other books in the series, don’t be. All the books in this series can be read as a standalone. This is exactly the kind of book I needed to get out of my book funk. Jock Road was everything I expected it to be. I loved every minute of it! I highly recommend this entire series!

  1. I bought the first one because I heard great things about it but I still need to read it

  2. It is always good when an author you love continues to deliver. Great review!

  3. I do enjoy a good sports romance and nice to know I can jump right in as this is a standalone. I'll have to check this one out. Fab review! :)

  4. I love sports romances, and I have been seeing a LOT of stars for this one. A swoony hero is definitely a must, but I am glad to hear the heroine is worthy of your affection as well.

  5. This is a series that has been on my radar since the beginning. Love the way you describe how much you enjoy it, Mikki!

  6. Glad you enjoyed this one. I don't think I've ever read anything by this author, but I'll keep you posted when I do. Is this a good book to start with?
