Synopsis:

I single-handedly built the hottest website for dating and relationship advice. Got a question? Scarlet Rocket can answer it for you. I was your modern day agony aunt with the solutions to all your pesky personal problems. The only issue? I was actually a man named Willis Halloran, not the female Scarlet Rocket. I thought my secret was safe. But then a sexy con artist calling herself Scarlet Rocket began showing up at society events, pretending to be me. I couldn’t let it go, so I tracked her down and confronted her. It went well … except for the part where she stole my wallet. Oh, and the part where she conned my agent into having us work together. And after that? Let’s just say she wound up stealing something much more valuable than my wallet or my [fake] name.

Review:

I loved Celia Aaron's previous work so I was excited to find out that she was releasing a romantic comedy. I love when authors switch genres. You've Got Fail was such a fun, sexy and swoony reading escape! ''Scarlet'' and Willis are two of the most fun characters I ever got the chance to read about.

In this story, we follow a dating and relationship blogger (Willis) and a con-artist ("Scarlet") that have one thing in common ... Scarlet Rocket. Willis is hiding behind this name and ''Scarlet'' is stealing it. Willis is shocked to find out that somebody has brought to life Scarlet Rocket. He's determined to find out who's behind all of this and end it once it for all. The last thing he expected was for Scarlet to steal more than his name. The journey they embark on is a hilarious reading journey that will keep readers turning the pages until the very end!

Willis was such an amazing hero. His personality completely rocked my world and this sexy nerd owns the dirty talk! Woweeee! I can't even!! *Fans Face* ''Scarlet'' is the kind of heroine I love to cheer for. She's confident, strong and there is nobody that will get in her way when it comes to the people she loves. I loved their chemistry together and the banter between them was PHENOMENAL!!!

A smile was lingering on my lips at all times during this reading journey and I loved every minute of it. I don't know if the author has any plans for the supporting cast of characters in this book, but I would love to read about their own journey. I loved them to pieces!!! I highly recommend You've Got Fail if you're looking for your next unputdownable read!

It’s over it.

And I meet the biggest bastard of them all.

Dexter Ryne. Hotter than Hell in July and a firm believer that my place is on reception, taking phone calls and looking pretty. Not getting dirty under the hood of a car.

Determined to prove each other wrong, we make a deal.

I have three weeks to prove my worth as a mechanic. If I don’t, I’m on telephone duty.

If I do, he’ll accept defeat and make my job permanent.

“Can I help you?” I asked.

He blinked and met my eyes.

“What the hell are you doing over there?” I pushed to stand up straight.

“Right now?” He capped his water bottle. “Well, honestly… I’m just thinking you’d look better over the hood of that car than under it.”

I unhooked the hood and slammed it down, spinning on the balls of my feet.

Our eyes met properly. I didn’t like what I saw in his—desire, attraction, need. Which was obviously why a shiver ran down my spine.

I cocked a hip, putting my hand on it. “The only time you will ever get me over a hood of a car is if a wiper blade needs changing. So, unless you’re a wiper blade...”

Dex pulled his phone from his pocket and started tapping the screen.
I blinked. “What are you doing?”

He peered up at me through his unfairly thick eyelashes. “Seeing if I can get a wiper blade costume for Halloween.”

“I don’t even know how to respond to that.”

“You can buy wiper blade glasses.”

“What?”

He raised his eyebrows. “And a lady here on eBay will hand-make any costume. There’s my Halloween sorted.”

I stared at him. “You’re not getting me over anything, Dex. Definitely not a car hood. No matter what you think.”

He clutched his chest dramatically. “You wound me.”
“Unfortunately not fatally,” I muttered.

“You also underestimate me.”

“There’s a lot of that going around in this garage.” I put the bottle of coolant away.

“Touché.”

“Thank you.”

“Can I ask you something?”

I sighed and turned to face him again. “What?”

Earnestly, he asked, “Can you stop wearing those tiny shorts? Or yoga pants that make me want to touch your ass every five minutes?”

I looked down at the ripped shorts of my dungarees. “Can you keep your thoughts to yourself?

Control yourself, maybe? Not look at me and see someone worth screwing?”

Review:

I got the chance to discover author Emma Hart this year. I have loved each of my reading escapes and Miss Mechanic was no different. This fun romance left me with a smile on my face and a heart full of joy. Her heroines are always strong and confident and her alpha males are swoony, sexy and simply irresistible.

When Jamie’s dad lost his garage, she was heartbroken. Cars are her life and she’s a damn good mechanic that needs to find a job that will fill the void that the loss of the family business left. Dexter Ryne is looking for a mechanic. The last thing he expected was for Jamie to show up and claim the position. She’s sassy and a firecracker that keeps pushing all his buttons. Will he give her a chance? Two stubborn mechanics are about to go head-to-head in a romantic comedy that will melt your hearts!

Jamie and Dex are two characters you NEED to meet! Their chemistry is insanely hot and these mechanics will set your world on fire! With each chapter that you read, you will irrevocably fall in love with them. I loved how confident Jamie was. She was determined to show Dex that she belonged in his garage. Dex was very stubborn at the beginning, but the more Jamie worked with him the more he realized that she’s exactly where she belongs.

What I love about Emma Hart is that not only does she give us unforgettable main characters, but her support cast of characters are pretty addictive as well. Both people who are close to Jamie and Dex all played a fun and memorable role in their story. I really love when I can connect with all the characters. This book can be read as a complete standalone. I’m pretty positive every reader will want more after reading Miss Mechanic so I highly recommend Miss Fix-It, which features a single dad and a handy woman that steals his heart.

Rating:

I give, Miss Mechanic, by Emma Hart, 4 fun, flirty, sexy stars!

Review:

I have been anticipating my Ruthless King reading escape since the moment I saw the cover and read the blurb for this book. Ruthless King is the first book in the Mount Trilogy and it does not disappoint. It will have your heart racing and the cliffhanger at the end will leave you at the edge of your seat!

Keira Kilgore is fighting to keep her family legacy alive. One unexpected visit from Lachlan Mount turns her world upside down. Word on the street is that you don't mess with Lachlan Mount. He always gets what he wants. Keira is about to come face-to-face with a dangerous enemy. An enemy that sets her body on fire with his dirty words and his electrifying touch. The Ruthless King is looking for a challenge. He's about to get one he will never forget ... A fiery redhead is about to test all his limits.

The attraction between Keira and Lachlan was undeniable. You can feel the intoxicating chemistry between them from the very beginning. Meghan March writes some pretty steamy scenes that will leave you fanning yourself. These two stubborn and confident characters will have you cheering for them in no time.

I really loved this introduction to Keira and Lachlan's story. It was fascinating to follow their journey. These two characters are not afraid to go head-to-head. When they are in the same room sparks fly. I don't want to give any details away about what brings these two together. This is a trilogy that each reader will need to discover on their own without having too many details about the storyline. I am extremely curious to see what will happen next.  Meghan March always delivers a sexy, page-turning reading journey!

Excerpt:

Rabbit turned off the country road we were on and pulled onto a dirt path. Bushy tree branches curled above us to create a tunnel. I leaned my head back and caught the last rays of sun slicing through the leaves. When I lifted my head I saw a building up ahead.

A house made from wood stood before us.

Rabbit pulled the car to a halt. There were no sounds coming from this house. No screams or crying. Everything was just . . . silent.

Rabbit’s hands slid from the wheel, and without looking at me, he said, “This is where we’ll be staying for the next several days.”

I leaned forward and looked out of the window. “Your home?”

He shook his head. “The first stop on our adventure.” I looked at him and found his silver eyes were already on me. “We have many stops to go.”

My heart fluttered in nervous excitement. “And this is number one . . .” I whispered, more to myself than Rabbit.

Rabbit opened his door. I was still staring at the woods surrounding this place when my car door opened too. Rabbit stood, rabbit-headed cane in hand, waiting for me to leave the car. I swallowed back the nerves that were creeping up my throat and stepped out. The ground crunched beneath my shoes.

“This way.” Rabbit held his arm out toward the house. I fell into step beside him. I glanced all around us, searching for any sign of people. As if reading my mind, Rabbit said, “There is just you and I here for now. We will meet more people when our journey truly begins.”

“It has not begun?”

Rabbit led us to a wooden door and paused. Gripping the head of his cane tighter, he faced me and said, “Soon, darlin’. Before we go, we must prepare.” He opened the door. “But first . . . tea.”

My breath caught in my throat. Beyond the threshold lay the most perfect tea-party spread one ever did see. “Rabbit!” I gasped. My hands flew to my mouth. I took a step forward into the house and onward into the magical room just beyond. As I passed Rabbit I looked up to see him watching me. I moved swiftly to the long table in the center of the wooden-paneled room, and my eyes widened as I beheld the spread. A white tablecloth lay over the table. Tall seats were positioned around it—eight to be exact—and at each seat was set a plate, a teacup and a saucer. I ran my hand over the cloth and smiled at the silver-domed dishes in the center of the table. I looked behind me to find Rabbit, but he was nowhere in sight. Turning back to the table, I lifted the first silver dome to peek at what was underneath. My mouth watered when I saw strawberry tarts. Smiling in excitement, I skipped to the next. Victoria sponge. Desperate to see them all, I removed each cover—cucumber sandwiches, Bakewell tarts, Battenberg cake, carrot cake . . . so much cake! All of England’s finest delicacies.

My favorites.

A floorboard creaked behind me, and I turned to see Rabbit walking back into the room. I opened my mouth to ask him where everything came from, but then I spotted what he held in his hands.

“Tea?” I asked as Rabbit placed the silver tray, which held a teapot, a jug of milk and a bowl of sugar, on the table. I walked closer and closed my eyes as I inhaled deeply.

“Earl Grey,” I whispered, smelling my absolute favorite tea in the entire world.

“Only ever Earl Grey for my little Dolly,” Rabbit confirmed and pulled out a chair for me. I sat down, and Rabbit tucked me in. He took the seat a few places down and gestured to the food. “Help yourself. After all, this tea party is in your honor.”

A giddy laugh escaped my throat as I reached forward and carefully selected a variety of cakes and sandwiches. When I had filled my plate, I took the teapot and poured myself a cup. Rabbit watched me with a peculiar look on his face. His lip was hooked at the corner, and his eyes were . . . soft. His eyes were never soft, always hard and focused, but as he looked at me now, they were almost gentle.

I swallowed, unsure what this strange feeling in my stomach was. I pressed my free hand to my stomach as a comfort against the strange tingling sensations inside. “Tea?” I offered, my voice barely above a whisper.

Rabbit nodded; not a word escaped his mouth. His gaze became more intense as I moved beside him and poured the steaming liquid into his cup. As my arm neared him, I felt him stiffen in his seat. Only a sliver of air prevented our limbs touching. His breathing grew labored as he watched me pour.

But we didn’t touch.

Clearing my throat, I placed the teapot back on the tray and moved to take my seat once again. Just as I took a step, an image floated into my head. Of me and Rabbit. Lips touching. My entire body tensed.

I heard Rabbit’s ragged breathing behind me. Goosebumps broke out along my body, chasing one another up my arms and up to the back of my neck. Shaking my head clear of the image, I sat back down.

I raised my eyes and found Rabbit watching me intensely. I lifted my teacup toward my lips. Rabbit did the same, but just as the lip of the teacup almost reached his mouth, I shouted, “Rabbit!” He froze. “Your little finger!” I scolded. I lowered my cup and shook my head. “You cannot drink tea without raising your little finger, silly!”

Rabbit exhaled, then bowed his head. “You’re right, darlin’. How could I forget?”

Review:

Holy book hangover, baby!

What in the world did I just read??? I am speechless. I don't even know where to start to recap this twisted, dark and insanely page-turning story. Tillie Cole promised us dark romance and she delivered. Sick Fux is a chill inducing reading journey that I will never forget!

I don't want to spoil this book because each reader needs to experience this reading journey just like I did. What I will tell you is that you need to be prepared for a story that you will never forget.  Ellis (Dolly) and Heathan's (Rabbit) story is heartbreaking. They met at a very young age and the bond that they created grew when they became older. Nothing can keep them apart. Even the demons that keep on knocking on their door.

Dolly and Rabbit are two of the most fascinating characters that I have ever met! Rabbit was fiercely protective of his Dolly. He made it his life goal to keep her safe and to seek revenge on the people that hurt them. Their thirst for revenge is palpable in each chapter of this dark and wicked journey.  I have to admit that my stomach turned upside down a couple of times. It was very difficult to read some scenes and my heart broke for Dolly and Rabbit. Please take the warning very seriously before you pick up this book. Tillie Cole's version of Alice in Wonderland will leave you gasping for air! This was way out of my comfort zone and even if I had many ''Ewww" moments, I could not put this book down! Fans of dark romance rejoice! Your next unputdownable reading journey is just one-click away!

Rating:

I give, Sick Fux, by Tillie Cole, 5 intense,  twisted, dark, avenging, hair-raising stars!
