I was a pawn.
Weak and someone easily manipulated.
To be played with as he saw fit.
Until YOU.

YOU shone light in my now dark world.
It was YOU who made me smile.
For the first time in this game, I had hope.
All because of YOU.

The more powerful pieces on the board, however, were a threat to YOU and me.
They would win at any cost.
Two kings ruling with an iron fist.
Allies or opponents, it was hard to tell.

YOU promised to save me.
Told me we would win.

But then I was on the wrong side of the board.
This isn't YOU, baby.
And I don't know what to do.

The game is almost over and I'm counting on YOU.
Tick, tock...

Warning: This Isn’t You, Baby is a dark romance. Strong sexual themes, excessive drug use, and violence, which could trigger emotional distress, are found in this story. If you are sensitive to dark themes, then this story is not for YOU.

This story will make YOU smile.
This story will make YOU angry.
This story will make YOU crazy.

I hope YOU love it, baby.

I can't breathe!!!

This is the fourth installment of The War & Peace Series. The previous books revolved around War, Baylee and Gabe. This time around, the next generation is about to take over Book Town. All new characters to fall in love with and to hate with a passion. At the end of the third book, I was left at the edge of my seat with the sneak peek that the author gave us about the next book in the series. I already knew that I was going to cheer for Brie to get saved by K. Webster's very own version of Prince Charming.

I don't want to give any spoilers away from the other books. Every reader that discovers this series needs to experience all the feels. What I will tell you about our strong heroine is that she's living in a state of numbness. Until Prince Charming comes along. She never expected to fall so hard for him. He's unexpected and exactly what she needed in her life to feel safe. In his arms, she's happy and irrevocably in love. Until Brie's life spins out of control again. Brie is about to play a dangerous game. Will she overcome all the obstacles in her life and find her HEA?

Reading a K. Webster book is like going to your favorite restaurant to indulge in that one dish that leaves you salivating. Let’s pretend your favorite dish is a nice juicy burger with extra pickles. Well in some cases, the waitress will comes back to tell you that your favorite item on the menu is not available that day. She suggest something else that you might like. Same thing happens with K. Webster and her books. Every time I start one of her books, I expect the story to go one way and then she starts throwing twists and turns. No matter how many twists she throws my way, I always come back for more because I love what she writes.

With the War & Peace Series, I come back for her wickedly and twisted dose of dark romance. I can’t get enough. She always has the same addictive recipe, but the more time she spends seasoning her stories, the more impact they have. What I’m basically trying to say is that when you show up at The Webster Diner, you are signing a waiver the moment you read that first page. You are accepting the emotional chaos that her words will provoke in you. Forget about the juicy burger with extra pickles. You are getting way more than you came in for!

My heart has broken into a million pieces so many times because of her powerful words. There is a reason for all the tears that I have cried when reading this book. I know she’s going to fix things. I’m extremely nervous about the next book. I need it like YESTERDAY!!! If you want to jumble your genres and try dark romance for a change, I highly recommend The War & Peace Series.

I give, This Isn’t You, Baby, by K. Webster, 5 intense, jaw-dropping, thrilling, passionnate, darkly captivating, all-consuming stars!
