Synopsis:

From New York Times bestselling author, Samantha Towle, comes a new sexy, romantic suspense standalone novel...

Daisy Smith has spent eighteen months of her life paying for a crime she didn’t commit. Now out of prison, she has only one focus—to get back custody of her younger brother, Jesse, who is deep in the foster care system. Desperate to rebuild her life and show the system that she is responsible enough to care for Jesse, she takes on the only job available to her—working as a maid at the Matis Estate.

On day one of her new job, Daisy meets Kastor Matis, the only son of the owners and her new boss. An enigmatic, handsome Greek god of a man, Kas is closed off, cold, and…well, kind of a bastard.

The more time Daisy spends around Kas, she starts to see there might be more to him than just his cold, bastard ways. He may actually have a heart beating in that frozen chest of his.

But Kas has secrets, too. Secrets that he’s determined to keep.

Secrets make Daisy curious.

And you know what curiosity can do…

Review:

Unsuitable has been on my bookworm radar from the moment I saw the stunning cover and read the intriguing blurb. All the other books that I have read by this author have been memorable reading escapes. I was excited to fall in love with new characters and be swept away to Book Town to read Kas and Daisy's love story. From beginning to end, this story had me turning the pages! I could not get enough of these two fantastic characters.

Daisy was sent to prison for a crime that she did not commit. In eighteen months, your entire world can change. When she comes out of prison, Daisy is determined to fight for Jesse. He's more than her little brother. Jesse is her life. Finding her place in the world was difficult enough before she got sent to prison. Now, it's even more complicated. With the help of her best friend, Cece, Daisy starts a brand new life. She will do whatever it takes to bring Jesse home. Even if that means going to work for an arrogant boss. Kas is an enigma she can't solve. He's mean and cold most of the time, but sometimes he shows her he cares. Their chemistry is undeniable. As time goes by, Daisy and Kas grow closer and they can't hide what they are feeling for each other. Daisy has strong feelings towards Kas. The only problem is that he's always pushing her away. Daisy is determined to find out why he tries to keep her away. What is Kas hiding from daisy and what will happen once his secrets are revealed?

Unsuitable was such a great read! Samantha Towle always delivers an unputdownable story. The characters are extremely lovable and the story is captivating. I loved Daisy from the moment she was introduced in this book. She's a strong and confident heroine that made me smile. I loved the relationship between Daisy and Jesse. Their brother/sister bond was beautiful. It was difficult at moments to read their scenes together. On another note, Cece was such an amazing friend and a wonderful supporting character. She never left Daisy's side and helped her with everything that she needed. Her friendship is priceless and Daisy is so blessed to have her by her side.

I loved the connection between Daisy and Kas. Their chemistry is extremely hot and their love for each other grew with each new day. Daisy is everything Kas wanted, but never expected to find. Her love is like a soothing balm on his tortured soul. The demons of his past are always close by and since Daisy came into his life, he feels like he can breathe again. She makes him feel alive. It was beautiful to see them grow as a couple and fall for each other. This couple shared some pretty intense moments. I was left on the edge of my seat a few times and I was cheering for Daisy and Kas to find the HEA they both deserved. It was heartbreaking to read what happened to Kas. Prepare some tissues, tears will be making an appearance.

Rating:

I give, Unsuitable, by Samantha Towle, 4.5 intense, passionate, fascinating, healing stars!
