Synopsis:

Taken by the Jakhua Clan as a teen, 194 was stripped of his name, his identity, and his freewill, meticulously honed to be a ruthless, soulless killing machine, trained solely to spill blood and stop hearts. This is a role he resents with every fiber of his being, but one he embraces to gain back the precious leverage the Georgians wield as their weapon of control: his younger sister, 152.

Mzia Kostava is in shock. After fleeing her mafia family's massacre in Georgia as a child, Mzia lives in secret, hiding from her enemies in the dark shadows of Manhattan. At age twenty-five, believing all her family is dead, word reaches Mzia that her brother Zaal is very much alive... and living with their family's greatest enemy: the Volkov Bratva in Brooklyn.

Yearning to be reunited with her beloved Zaal, Mzia risks her safety and anonymity for the brother she had mourned since childhood. But just as she reaches Zaal's apartment, Mzia is seized and taken captive by a strange man, who is strong, dark, and brutal... Unyielding, he demands her utter obedience as he locks her away in darkness. He is highly skilled in torture and inflicting pain, and demands to know everything about her brother Zaal and everything about her. He is a man that'll do anything to get what he wants.

Sometimes love requires the sacrifice and betrayal of those held most dear. But is finding one's true love worth committing the greatest sacrifice of all?

Review:

When I finished reading Reap, which is the second book in the Scarred Souls Series by Tillie Cole, I was left at the edge of my seat! Not because the book had a cliffhanger, but because the little sneak peek we got of the next book, Ravage, left me wanting more! Ravage made my most anticipated books of 2016 list and when I put a book on the list, my expectations are very high. Well, Tillie Cole exceeded all of my expectations that I had for this book. I read it in one sitting because it was impossible for me to put the book down and continue my daily routine. This is the kind of dark romance that delivers all the feels and it makes your heart beat fast.

I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series, Raze and Reap, because the characters from those books have a very important role in this book. This story is told from different POV's, which is an added bonus in my books! If you don't read the previous books, I feel like you won't fully understand Ravage. In this book, we follow 194 and Zoya. 194 has been under the influence of very powerful drugs that have converted him into a killing machine. A monster. He knows that he has to obey every single order he gets from his mistress. Everything he does is for the one person he loves the most in his life. His sister.

When is order is to kill an enemy of his mistress, 194 gets close to the target. What he never expected was for Zoya to come in his life. From the moment he was captured by his mistress, 194 has only lived for one thing. Free his sister. Zoya comes into his life and makes him want more. She's the reason he feels human again and she gives him strength to find the good person that disappeared when the monster took over. Even in the darkest of moments love blooms.

Every single character that Tillie Cole creates steals a piece of my heart. My bookworm heart burst with happiness when I read one of her books. Her words make me escape and give me that much needed reality break that I look for when reading a book. From beginning to end, her writing style got me hooked to this story. 194 was such an intriguing and dark character. I think that out of all the guys from the Scarred Souls Series he's the most dangerous one. It took him time to open up and reveal himself to Zoya. He was set on following orders and nothing would stop him. As days go by, Zoya finds a way to get under 194's skin and makes him open up. That is when we met Valentin. His story is heartbreaking. He has a dark past and with Zoya's help he finally looks forward to his future. A future where love and family is what he calls home.

It was fascinating to read Zoya's story. When I read Reap, my heart broke for Zaal. Next to Talia he found happiness, but the loss of his family has always left a whole in his heart. I was happy for Zoya and Zaal to reunite. Zoya's story was heartbreaking as well so that is why she understood Valentin's pain and where he was coming from. Once Valentin started to open up about his past their bond was unbreakable.

I loved every single minute of my reading escape! I'm so in love with all the characters from this series. I'm so happy that we got various POV's in this book. Luka and Zaal are still trying to adapt to their new world. I loved reading from their POV. Luka, Zaal and Valentin working together will be out of this world amazing and I can't wait to see what is next in the Scarred Souls Series. The little sneak peek at the end of Ravage left me on the edge of my seat ... Again!!! I highly recommend this series. If you have not read these books yet, you are seriously missing out! Book hangover guaranteed!

Rating:

I give, Ravage, by Tillie Cole, 5 all-consuming, dark, erotic, love can be born in the darkest moments stars!
