My friends have NOTICED that I crave dark romance lately. They always try to find me new authors to follow and book recommendations that will give me chills. If there is one author that is on my dark romance auto-read list, it’s K. Webster. Her dark romance novels have captivated me from the moment I discovered her War & Peace Series. With this author, you never know what kind of twisted roller coaster ride of emotions your embarking on until the story and characters hold every bit of your attention. These characters never let you go! I always end up with a book hangover that lingers for days!!! NOTICE is K. Webster’s new dark romance release and it is WICKEDLY ADDICTIVE!! 

In NOTICE we follow Violet Simmons and Grayson Maxwell’s complicated and wickedly hot relationship. Violet has been working for Grayson Maxwell for six years. Her boss is a jerk. He never gives her or any other employee a word of encouragement or a simple THANK YOU. She works her butt off to make his company look good and she knows how to talk to his clients. Violet wants to quit her position and find a company that will NOTICE all the valuable work she does. When she walks into Gray’s office to give her resignation, the last thing she expected was for Gray to NOTICE her. Sometimes what you wish for is dangerous... 

Violet wanted to be NOTICED. She has all of Gray’s undivided attention now. As days go by, Violet’s opinion about Gray starts to change. NOTICE is one of the most fascinating books that I have ever read! I’m a big fan of K. Webster’s villains. They have a je-ne-sais-quoi that always gets me cheering for them. Gray was a different kind of villain. He was not what I expected at all. I have to admit that he actually made me swoon a couple of times with how protective he was of Violet. He’s fiercely possessive and irrevocably in love with Violet. This couple is extremely hot together and their chemistry was blazing hot! Oh.my.world. What happens under that bed? *Fans face* K. Webster always knows how to create fireworks between her characters. The dirty talk and sexual tension between Violet and Gray was crazy hot! 

This was an amazing reading escape! K. Webster always delivers a story that keeps me on the edge of my seat! Her characters are always unique and her storylines are like a breath of fresh air. Violet’s story was a difficult one to read. Her past is filled with dark memories. I loved how Gray protected her and how she changed from the woman she was all those years ago. If you are looking for a dark romance that has the heroine falling for her stalker, this is it!

Holden dressed me that first day out of the box. He dressed me and left me in his bedroom on his bed. I sobbed until my body had no more liquid to expel. I curled into a tiny ball and willed everything not to be true. At some point, probably mid-day, he came in with a bucket, washcloth, and tray of food. He gently, tenderly almost, sat me up and fed me. Small bites. He murmured that things would be okay. That I would see. When the food was gone, he lifted my dress from my body. I stared at the wall unmoving. He dampened the washcloth and washed me head to toe. There was nothing sexual about it. It was simply cleaning the filth and stench from my skin. If I’m honest, I almost enjoyed it. Being clean is something we take for granted. He left me in his room after a swift kiss on the crown of my head until dinner. He brought in a tray and fed me again. Afterward, he brushed my hair free of all the knots and braided it. When he finished I laid back down and squeezed my eyes shut so tightly that the apples of my cheeks began to burn.

Review:

My ultimate reading goal for 2017 was to read as many books by new authors as possible. Since the beginning of the year, my goal is divided in two (Debut authors and TBR list authors) K. Larsen has been on my TBR list for some time now. I have heard amazing things about her books by my book sisters. Sometimes deciding on what book to read by an author you have never read before can be overwhelming. K. Larsen has written many books before The Tutor, which is her new release. I decided start my K. Larsen reading journey with The Tutor. I have been on a dark romance kind of mood lately so I knew that this new release was my book of choice. 

From the captivating blurb to the mesmerizing cover, The Tutor was a dark, intense unputdownable story that left me on the edge of my seat! I was trying to solve the intricate puzzle that was this story. I had many theories with this book. The author did a phenomenal job at keeping me guessing. I never knew what to expect next with this story and that made my reading journey even more exciting. I don’t want to give anything away by doing a recap of this story. I want every single reader that picks up this book to feel all the same emotions that I felt while reading this story. 

This is what I can tell you about this story without giving anything away. The blurb gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect from this story. Nora accepts a tutoring job in the middle of nowhere. She needs the money so she accepts the job. What she never expected was to be kept captive after her tutoring job was finished. What happens next leaves her with both physical and emotional scars. Love is not always hearts and flowers. Sometimes love is complicated, dark, twisted and unexpected. 

This story is written in multiple POV's. I have to admit that it was distracting at the beginning of the story, but I did end up enjoying reading all of these POV's once Nora revealed what happened to her. Nora is an intriguing character and her story is chill inducing. Each supporting character in this story plays an important role in Nora’s life. I absolutely loved my first K. Larsen book and it will not be my last. I’m really excited to read her previous work and I’m very intrigued about how things ended in The Tutor. If you are looking for a dark, twisted and captivating story, look no further! The Tutor is the next book you need to add on your TBR list!

You talk. I listen. You move. I watch. You don’t know I exist, but I learn from watching you. I absorb the minute details you emit. I use them. I write. I take the smallest sliver from you, about you and I piece it into a character. It takes so many little slivers to create a whole, complete being. I watch people. I hear words, individual words from many different conversations floating around. I stockpile them away. I rearrange them into to something else. Nothing goes to waste.
