My Thoughts:

Searching for Disaster was a sweet little page-turning novella, and the perfect way to end the Searching For Series.  I am going to miss the characters that I have come to know and love.  They are all unique and special.  Ms. Probst has brought readers such real characters, with everyday problems, as well as the magic of love, unbreakable friendships, and strong family ties.  When you delve into a story by Ms. Probst, you are taken to another place.  I get lost and enraptured in her stories.  They go by so fast, and I always am a little sad to say goodbye, when I come to the end.

In Searching For Disaster, we get Isabella "Izzy" Mackenzie and Officer William Devine's story.  Isabella has always been the rebel or the "wild child," of her family.  I disliked her when I initially met her as a secondary character.  She is Gen's twin sister, whom we got to know in Searching for Beautiful.  Fortunately, Isabella has changed.  She had a severe drug addiction, and has been rehabilitated for two years.  Gone is the flighty, irresponsible, and self-centered woman that we once knew.  She has grown, matured, and is determined to continue to work on bettering herself.

Isabella is working at the matchmaking business, Kinnections.  Kate, Kennedy, and Arilyn want to set her up with a love match, but Isabella isn't up for their matchmaking.  Officer William "Liam" Devine is searching for something to make his life complete.  He wants love.  When he goes to Kinnections to get set up, he is shocked to see Isabella, whom he had a one night stand with six years ago, and never forgot.  After Liam see's Isabella, he is determined to connect with the woman who got away.  Unfortunately, Izzy is filled with self-doubt, and doesn't believe that she deserves a man like Liam.  She is convinced that he can do better than her, and she will only hurt him in the long run.  Can Liam convince her otherwise?

Searching for disaster brought the element of magic and fate, just like the other books in the series. I love the love spell plot thread in this series.  I also enjoyed the fun banter and sexual tension between Liam and Izzy.  Liam was a modern day "prince charming."  He believed in Izzy, and did everything in his power to make her realize her worth.  Even though Searching for Disaster was a novella, Ms. Probst did an excellent job of developing the characters and the story.  The plot did not feel rushed, and I was happy with the ending.  I highly recommend the Searching for series, and know that readers are going to really enjoy Izzy and Liams's love story.

My Rating:

I give, Searching for Disaster, by Jennifer Probst, 4.5 Magical, Sweet, Fun, and Falling Madly in Love Filled Stars.  This novella was a pleasure to read, and I will miss all of these characters dearly.  Each book in the series can be read as a standalone, but I think you get so much more out of them, if you read them in order.

No time to find Mr. Right—but after discovering her yogi boyfriend in a compromising asana, Arilyn would rather dog-sit for her honeymooning friend Kate than risk her heart on another downward dog. Lindy's Thoughts:

Searching for Always is Arilyn Meadows' story.  All of Arilyn's friends; Kate, Kennedy, and Gen have found their soul mates, and Airlyn envies the deep connection, and passion filled relationships that her friends have.  However, she's had nothing but bad luck in the relationship department.  She just caught the man that she thought was her soulmate, having hot and heavy sex with one of his Yoga students.  Now, Arilyn is in a really bad state of mind.  She's depressed, and angry.  None of her go-to-methods of relaxation, and calm seem to be helping her get out of her funk.  Even her best friends are concerned about her.

Then Arilyn's life changes when officer Stone Petty is enrolled in her six-week anger management course, after he beats up an abusive spouse on a domestic call.  These two could not stand each other, when they first met during a problem Gen was having with her ex, and neither are looking forward to seeing each other again.  As Arilyn and Stone get to know one another during the duration of the anger management course, strong attraction and dislike, grows in to friendship, and then love.  However, Stone doesn't do relationships.  He has one failed marriage, and just wants a casual affair, or so he tells himself.  What happens when he realizes that Ariylyn wants and deserves more than he can offer?

Searching for Always was simply amazing.  I loved it for so many reasons!  Arilyn and Stone were two characters with smoldering chemistry, but very different likes.  They went toe to toe with one another, and I was completely entertained with the battle of wits and wills between them.  They were snarky, feisty, flirty, and both liked to push each other's buttons.  As a reader, I loved watching it all take place!

I loved seeing a different side to Arilyn than what I've been use to.  In the previous stories, she came off as the most mellow, easy going, and fun loving of the bunch.  I loved how Stone brought out the spitfire in her!  Stone was a brooding alpha male.  He was stubborn, and yet without even realizing it right away, Arilyn changed him.  He learned how to open up more, compromise, and get out of his usual routine and comfort zone.

As far as secondary characters are concerned, Arilyn's grandfather "Poppy," and neighbor, Mrs. Blackfire (also known as "The Witch,") brought a lot of levity and humor to the story.  I was laughing hard at these two characters antics, and at the same time felt emotional when they shared their life stories.  We also get, two rescue dogs that play a meaningful part in the story; Kate's dog, Robert, who Arilyn dog sits for a week, and an abused Chihuaua by the name of "Pinky."  For animal lovers like myself, you will adore these two dogs, and feel sympathetic towards what Pinky is going through.

Of course we also get Kate, Kennedy, and Gen as well, showing love, loyalty, and support to their best friend.  There even was a scene where we got some crossover characters from, The Marriage to a Billionaire series, which made me all kinds of happy!  Ms. Probst's stories always have strong ties to family and friendship, which I absolutely adore.

The romance between Arilyn and Stone was beautiful.  We get a deep emotional connection between these characters, fiery passion, compromise, and a beautiful melding of their lives as a couple.  The end of the story was an "aww" kind of moment, and left me with the hope that this series will be continuing.

My Rating:

I give, Searching for Always, by Jennifer Probst, 4.5 Searing Chemistry, Love Like No Other, Healing, and Happiness Filled Stars!

Ro's Take on this Journey:

My reading experience with Ms. Probst began with the Marriage to a Billionaire series.  I fell madly in love with her characters, and it has carried over into the Searching for series.  In Searching for Always, we get the fourth segment of this, "Love has got a spell on me series!"  My eyes were glued to this book, as in all the rest of Ms. Probst's prior novels.

This story was about Arilyn Meadows; the confident, secretive, philanthropic, Zen Master of the Kinnections gang of Verily.  Arilyn has always held in together, found answers to problems in a calm, reasonable fashion.  Now, she has been faced with the reality of her broken relationship with her boyfriend, who turned out to be a douche bag!!!

On the heels of, Searching for Beautiful, Ms. Probst introduced her readers to the crotchety police officer, Stone Petty.  As a devout fan of Ms. Probst, I just knew that he would make it into her next segment, and that Arilyn and Stone were going to have one hot and steamy romp!!!  Well readers, I was correct!  These two get together by default.  Of course, Stone, and his hot head get him in to trouble once again.  He has some mandatory time to spend with anger management, and finds himself getting a lot more than he bargained for!

The constant rhetoric of these two characters reminded me of my parents, so I knew that they could end up having one hell of a ride!!!  These two characters are polar opposites, but we all know that that makes for a lot of fights, and even more making up!  These two can jump from one to ten in the blink of an eye.  Neither one likes to back down, but when fate steps into their path, they can't help themselves.

Ms. Probst is at the top of her game.  She can weave a tale like no other.  She has completely imbibed these characters into the fiber of my soul, starting from the first series with Mama Conte!  I want my own Mama Conte...she is a one of a kind gem!  The reader will even get so enthralled with the series that Ms. Blackfire will get under your skin, make you mad, cry, sigh, and laugh out loud.

The writing was excellent, the characters are beloved, well rounded, and delightful.  The fact that Stone starts out like a cave man in every way and turns into a lovable character will leave readers breathless. I loved every moment of this new adventure, and I hope it never ends!  Thank You Ms. Probst for your wonderful, inspiring, delightful, all encompassing stories.  I will treasure them always.

My Rating:

I give, Searching for Always, by Jennifer Probst, 5 Zen Filled, Sassy, Sexy, Happily Ever After, Long Awaited Stars!!!

Lindy's Thoughts:

I am a huge fan of Jennifer Probst, and Searching for Beautiful was such a breathtaking, and passionate love story that swept me off of my feet.  The Marriage to a Billionaire Series was what hooked me on Ms. Probst, and her Searching For Series has been no less stunning.  With Searching for Beautiful, Ms. Probst's fans get the best of two worlds; we get many beloved characters crossing over from The Marriage to a Billionaire Series, as well as the charming characters from the Searching For Series!

Genevieve "Gen" and Wolfe have had a beautiful friendship for many years.  They have always supported one another, have confided in one another (to a certain extent,) had fun together, and considered each other best friends.  While there is attraction to one another on both of their sides, they would never jeopardize the friendship that they value more than anything else.

On Gen's wedding day, she jumps out of the church window to escape her wedding, right in to the arms of Wolfe, who was hiding out to have a smoke.  He whisks away his best friend, when she asks him to get her out of there, because she doesn't want to marry her fiancé.  Wolfe takes her to Saratoga for a few days, so that she can get her head straight, and figure out what she wants out of her life.  While they are together, Gen confides in Wolfe about the abusive, manipulative, and controlling man that she almost married.  He distracts her to alleviate her guilt and sadness, and they share special moments, and an unbelievably passion filled kiss.

When Gen returns home, Wolfe and her try to act like the kiss didn't happen, and return back to the platonic status of their friendship.  However, things are now complicated as the sexual tension and awareness builds between them, and feelings deepen.  Wolfe has a dark past and doesn't think he can make Gen happy.  Will he take a chance on love, or lose the woman that is the most important person in his life?

Searching for Beautiful was exquisite.  I loved how Ms. Probst has the ability to make readers feel as if they are a part of the story.  The rich make-up of her characters give them life, and make them relatable and likable!  Gen was a great character.  She was intelligent, loving, compassionate, and wanted to please everyone around her.  She was so busy trying to be "perfect," that she lost herself, and her happiness along the way.

Wolfe stole the show for me.  He was the wounded hero.  Wolfe was sweet, caring, loving, and had so much to offer.  However, he had to battle the demons from his past that made him feel unworthy of love, before he could find happiness.

I love when best friends become lovers, and it was obvious that Gen and Wolfe were meant to be.  They brought out the best in each other, and gave one another unconditional love and acceptance.  The combination of deep friendship, evocative emotion, and intense chemistry lead to butterflies in my stomach, and goosebumps from this epic romance, filled with blazing passion, and a beautiful love like no other!

My Rating:

I give, Searching for Beautiful, by Jennifer Probst, 5 Fairytale Romance, Sexy Soulmates, "Fall in love with Wolfe," Explosive Passion Filled Stars!  Fans of Ms. Probst are going to be ecstatic over Gen and Wolfe's story!  If you haven't read anything by Ms. Probst, and enjoy amazing contemporary romance, look no further!!!

Ro's Take on this Journey:

Searching for Beautiful, by Jennifer Probst, is one more feather in the cap of this amazing author.  Ms. Probst has done a crossover set of novels from the, Marriage to a Billionaire Series.  As readers we still have our beloved characters from the first series, brought into the new Searching for Series.  I will pick up anything written by Ms. Probst and know that it will be a life changing journey that I will want to treasure.  This novel is no different.  Each time I read a new novel in her series', I think it is my favorite!!!

Searching for Beautiful starts off with the wedding day of Genevieve, (Gen) and her controlling fiancé, David.           As Gen has some time to herself, before the ceremony is ready to begin, the voice in her head keeps telling her to run for her life!  Gen has always been the good girl in the family.  She pleases everyone, always, except for the most important person of all, herself.   For the first time in her life she goes with her gut feeling.  She jumps from the church window in the bridal room, into the bush below.  Who does she find at the bottom?  None other than her best friend, and hottest man in town, Wolfe.  Wolfe is hiding out smoking, but when he see's his best friend, he takes her, and they make the greatest escape ever before anyone knows what has happened!

Wolfe whisks her to a cabin in Saratoga, and the two share a few days together that they will never forget.  There is no pressure between these two very special friends.  They have shared a rare and knowing understanding of what they have from the beginning.  Both Gen and Wolfe have secrets they have never shared.  They have never spoken of the past, only the present, until this getaway.   As their talks start going to places neither has ever dared to go, and a few too many beers, a magical kiss opens pandora's box.  One that neither can keep their minds off of.

Wolfe is a very special guy, who has made his appearance questionable, in order to keep people away.  He has what he feels is a fated past that he tries very hard to forget.  Wolfe has a sultry smile, a hard edge, a caring hand, and a broken past, all wrapped into one.  He is the best friend ever, and the most passionate, loving, vulnerable, honest, unassuming and intelligent, though never boastful man.  He will defend Gen to the ends of the earth.   As Wolfe learns of the emotional abuse she has been subjected to his fiery temper mounts to a crescendo.

The readers will go crazy for this sizzling, heart stopping, fireball of combustible sex appeal.  Gen is a beautiful, caring, loving, honest, one man woman.  She has been putting her own needs on the back burner for so long, always worked hard to succeed, and never stopped to think about what makes her happy till now. Gen must face the music.  David was the Chief Doctor at the local Hospital that she is also a doctor at.  She knows there will be consequences.  Her hard work may go down the tubes because of her decision, but she is determined to face it.

Searching for Beautiful, will leave every reader panting, frenzied, vulnerable, and wanting more!!!  Ms. Probst has outdone herself with this installment in the Searching for Series.  I savored every minute of this life changing journey, enjoyed all the past characters that I have come to love dearly, and reveled in the tantalizing love affair of Gen and Wolfe.  Will they both get past their brokenness and give in to a love of a lifetime?  Read this novel.  You won't be disappointed...I Promise!!!

My Rating:

I give, Searching for Beautiful, by Jennifer Probst, 5 Heartwarming, Tantilizing, Soul Searching,  Wolfe... Rocks ...My... World... Stars!!!
