Stacking the Shelves & Sunday Post (67)

This month I didn't get much reading or blogging done. My health is back to normal, but I'm finding I have very little time for myself.  All of my daughter's schooling and therapies are taking up every moment of my time.  I have weekly meetings with her teacher, speech, and occupational therapy. I have a ton of school work to complete with her from her teacher, as well as speech, O.T. and P.E work/activities.  To top it off I'm doing virtual ABA therapy 2 hours a day, and since my daughter has severe Autism, I'm having to do everything hands on with her.  In essence, I've become her therapist and teacher.  She hasn't been sleeping earlier than 2 A.M., so I'm exhausted.  She get's in to everything, so I have to watch her every moment, with very little breaks.

I only read/listened to 5 books last month, and have a ton of May review/tour books I signed up for before COVID hit.  So I stopped requesting and signing up for books and tours, even though I've been offered books I really want to read.  I really miss reading, blogging, and visiting my favorite book blogs!  Hopefully, things will calm down a bit, and once she's "out" of school, I'll have a little more time to myself.  We'll see...

  1. That sounds really stressful. We've had the ot, pt, nurse, doctor and others out at our apartment several times a week for Ken. I haven't had a lot of time to read anything this past month.

  2. I'm sorry you're having to deal with all that, Lindy! I think this pandemic has been especially hard for parents with school aged kids, even harder if you have a child with special needs. I hope you get a break soon!

  3. ((HUGS)) Lindy. I know it's stressful for you, but your daughter is so lucky to have a mom, who cares so much. I am glad you are in better health, and I am keeping my fingers crossed, that things sort of return to normal at some point in the near future.

  4. Sending big hugs your way, Lindy. It's so overwhelming at times, isn't it? I am really struggling too, but you have so much more on your plate than I do. I am glad you are doing better, health-wise. Take care of yourself. Stay safe and well.

  8. Your days sounds rather overwhelming, Lindy. I truly hope once the schoolwork stuff is done for the year you'll be able to find a little more time for yourself. Or at least get more sleep!

  10. I cannot wait for "summer" to officially start for my son, because the online learning is stressful. I feel like we never get everything done, and having him sit still for weekly lessons is UGH. Best of luck to you! Maybe we'll read again someday. ;)

  12. I'm sorry you have to deal with so much right now. It can't be easy having to be your daughter's therapist and teacher pretty much 24/7. Hopefully you can get a little more reading time in this month!!
