Stacking the Shelves & Sunday Post (50)

Recently I binged on the Outlander Series! I watched seasons one and two on Netflix, and loved them so much that I subscribed to a free week of Starz, just so I could see seasons three and four!  They are pretty graphic and explicit, but I love the story line, and how rich the series is in history! I never read the books, but now I'm thinking of going back and reading the series.  The Ho-Ho-Ho Readathon hosted by Kim@ Caffeinated Reviewer kicked off today and I am so excited to be reading Christmas books and participating in all of the fun games and challenges.  This event is sure to get me in the holiday spirit!  I only added 2 books to my readathon TBR, but if I end up having more time, I plan on adding more!  Is anyone else doing the readathon?

  2. I am a big Outlander fan and have read the books, listened to the audios, and even read the spin-off Lord John series. I tried the show, but just couldn't get into it though I didn't hate it and thought it was very well made for a TV adaption.

Yes! I'm doing HoHoHoRAT, too. I'm being very ambitious with four books and two novellas. Your books look fun especially The Magical Cat. Cheering you on, Lindy.

    Have a great week! :)

  3. I watched the first two or three seasons of Outlander, but I have been watching less and less TV. I tried to read the books, because I loved the first season so much, but it was tedious. The dialect was making me nuts. I read 10 Blind Dates the other day and loved it so much! Whoo hoo for getting Breath Like Water. I got rejected for that, and the rejection told me the book had already been published (LIES!). Now you can tell me if it's any good.

  4. You know I loved The Bromance Book Club, too. I hope Liz's story next is good. I've never watched or read the Outlander series. I did try to start the first book some years ago, but couldn't get into it. Everyone loves both the books and the series though. Hope you enjoy the rest of the series! :)

  6. I read the first 5 or so books in the Outlander series years and years ago but I've never seen the TV series since I'm not a TV watcher. I've heard it's excellent, though! Glad you're enjoying it. :)
