Stacking the Shelves & Sunday Post (38)

Monday my air conditioner broke, and it was so hot and stuffy in my apartment! It didn't get fixed until Thursday, so the only place I could tolerate was my bedroom.  We celebrated my dad's 65th birthday at dinner on Wednesday, and I visited with a friend of mine this week.  My daughter goes back to school in two weeks, so I started her back to school shopping.  Her summer vacation flew by!

I read Million Dollar Marriage by Katy Evans, which I loved and Book 2 & 3 in the Kate Daniels Series by Ilona Andrews.  Book 2 of the series finally picked up, I loved Book 3, have just started Book 4, and now the series has gotten really good.
Last Week on the Blog:

*Blog Hops: Summer Romance & Christmas in July (Giveaway)
*Sweet Retribution (Rydeville High Elite #3) by Siobhan Davies (Cover Reveal)
*Making Up (Shacking Up#4) by Helena Hunting (Blog Tour, Review & Interview)
*Glow of the Fireflies by Lindsey Duga (WOW)
*A Wedding in December by Sarah Morgan (Book Review)

I am participating in two different blog hops where I am  giving away (2) $10 Amazon Gift Cards! Click Here if you're interested in entering the Summer Romance Hop and/or the Christmas in July Hop!

  1. It seems kind of inhumane to make you live without a/c for that many days. Sorry to hear it broke, but I guess, better late than never on the fixing. Where did the summer go! I cannot believe it is almost back to school time. When I was teaching and had a school aged kid, it was way more significant. Now, it just signals that there is a light at the end of this oppressive heated tunnel. Have fun school shopping!

  2. Million dollar marriage sounds fantastic. It sort of reminds me of 50 shades of gray. I recently listened to this guy on youtube giving a rant about that book and how women shouldn't compromise when it comes to what they're looking for in a man. Now I'm ranting. lol

  8. I can't believe kids will be going back to school so soon! August is too early in California because it's just too dang hot! Sorry to hear about your air conditioner, but glad to hear it's fixed now. We're having quite the heat wave.

I'm so thrilled you're loving Kate Daniels now! By book three I think it starts getting so good. Love the humor too. I need to get to Million Dollar Marriage soon! :)

    1. I enjoyed Magic Burns, but one thing I've noticed is that this series just continues to get better with each new book.
