Whispers and the Roars is a book that left me gasping for air in a few occasions. Take the warning at the beginning of this book seriously. It’s an extremely chill inducing story that will leave you turning the pages until every intricate piece of puzzle falls into place. K. Webster is an author that I discovered this year. Her writing style is unique and unforgettable. Each of her stories have left me with a huge book hangover. I usually recap a bit of the story when I write my reviews. With this book, I won’t. Each reader that read Whispers and the Roars needs to go in blind. The less you know about it, the more this story will leave you speechless. If you are looking for a hearts and flowers kind of love story ... this is not it! If you are looking for a story that will leave you with a "What in the world did I just read??" feeling, I absolutely recommend this book. Kady, the heroine, goes through some pretty difficult moments that left her with deep emotional scars. She’s an intriguing character to follow and I was cheering for her to get her HEA. I loved the main male hero as well. He was meant to be with Kady and you could feel the intensity of his love for her. I loved many characters in this story, but I also hated a few. The author did a phenomenal job with this story and I really hope that everybody picks up this book. You are just a few pages away from falling in love with a new author that always delivers intoxicating stories that leave you breathless. I absolutely loved my reading journey and highly recommend this book!
I give, Whispers and the Roars, by K. Webster, 5 dark, intense, striking, heart-wrenching stars!
