Filled with magic, thrilling adventure, and sweet romance, Elementals 4: The Portal to Kerberos, is the latest installment in Michelle Madow’s exciting Elementals series. Follow Nicole and her fellow Elementals as they journey to a new and dangerous world to save one of their own, battling monsters and trying to keep their sanity in a prison dimension designed to make them lose their minds.

Synopsis

She will venture into hell to save the one she loves.

After being betrayed by one of their own, Nicole watches helplessly as Blake is snatched into the prison world of Kerberos—along with Medusa’s head, which is the one item they need to stop the Titans from rising again. Now Nicole and the other Elementals must enter the portal, find Blake, and bring him and Medusa’s head back to Earth before the deadly monster Typhon returns and wreaks havoc on the world. But there’s one catch—their elemental powers don’t work in Kerberos. In a dimension designed to make those within it lose touch with reality, and that's filled with dangerous creatures who want to stop them from completing their task, will they make it out alive?

In this penultimate book of Nicole’s story, join the Elementals as they journey through hell to save the world… before it’s too late.

My Thoughts

Ms. Madow offers up more exhilarating entertainment, as the Elementals Series continues.  With crazy twists and turns, there is never a dull moment in this saga.  I enjoyed being on this dangerous journey with Nicole, Danielle, and Chris.  In this segment, the primordial deity of darkness, Erebus, is introduced.

Erebus will guide Nicole, Danielle and Chris through Kerberos, a dangerous, and pain-inducing world.  While he can guide them, he cannot directly help the Elementals.  Thankfully, Greek God, Apollo, (Nicole's dad,) has gifted the group with magical weaponry.  They must retrieve Medusa's head, and rescue Blake from Demigod Ethan, who betrayed the group.

As the Elementals begin their long trek into Kerberos, they will constantly be challenged and put in danger's path.  As they travel the Badlands, Whispering Forest, River of Dreams, River of Blood, Jungle, and Mountaintop, how will they survive a world where they have been stripped of their Elemental powers?

It was exciting being on this tumultuous journey.  I liked getting to know Erebus, and loved watching the connection that formed between Danielle and him.  I would love to see these two end up together.  He bent the rules a few times, and I have no doubt that she was the reason!  My heart hurt for both Nicole and Chris, who had to undertake this terrifying expedition without their significant others; Blake and Kate.  Not to mention the fact that as a reader, I missed them too!

Ms. Madow is doing a great job of enhancing my love of Greek Mythology.  I loved learning about the Titans and Olympians; as well as reading about Primordial Deities, Trolls,  Merpeople, The Nemean Lion, Centaurs, Dragons, and other magical creatures.  The Elementals Series is so much fun and I recommend it to readers that enjoy reading Greek Mythology.

The Portal to Kerberos ended with a bang!  I can't wait to read the next segment in the series, The Hands of Time.  The Elementals have just been sent by Primordial Diety, Chronos, into the past, and I'm excited to see what happens next!

My Rating:

I give, The Portal to Kerberos, Elementals #4, by Michelle Madow, 4 Entertaining, Adrenaline-Infused, Dangerous and Magical Journey Filled Stars!

  1. Can you believe I haven't even heard of this series before, Lindy? I think I need to remedy that, as it sounds like one I'd really enjoy! Great review!
